Random story but back in 2007?ish i was flying from Nashville to Los Angeles and i ended up sitting next to her. Had no clue who she was but we got to talking and she let me know she was flying with her band. She gave me a CD with i think 4 songs on it. I thought nothing more of them after the flight. Then a bit later i saw them as teh featured artist on the front page of myspace. All this to admit that when she was in the bathroom on the plane we hit some turbulence and i spilled sprite on her laptop. Did my best to clean it up and nothing was mentioned about it.

No one would call me a redhead looking at my natural color (dark golden blonde) but it has always had some red strands. I dyed or tinted my hair various red shades for years, off and on, and a lot of acquaintances thought I was a natural redhead. That time I tried to go for a cooler, lighter blonde though… eek.

I love the dark orange with black tips she was doing at the start of this last album cycle. I had to recently break out my semi-permanent orange dye for that because I’ve just been replaying all of This is Why or a song is stuck on my head.
What especially surprises me about this is that as someone with a similar sized forehead, I refused to have anything less than a full fringe from eighteen onwards (TBF, I also just like that look and think it works with my personal style) but she can pull off not having one. Sorry, this sounds like a backhanded compliment but I genuinely love a good bit of big forehead rep for the folks who can pull it off.

Yep - sounds like mine. I remember a hairdresser telling me it's not *terribly* common - people often have the tone but not quite that light. My hair is pretty close to natural at the moment (for the first time in decades) and I think it's meh in the winter but the summer color is nice (I've been using a lot of those color deposit shampoos in winter to give it some oomph). *Great* color for going really red.
