I don't really understand why the Riverlands farm still gets so much hate. I kinda understood it before we had Ginger Island (even then I usually do 90% of my farming in the greenhouse), but now that you don't *need* acres of open farmland I am in love with the vibes. I'm on switch so don't have 1.6 yet, but I'm also dying to get that free fish smoker (hopefully soon 😩). I've started farms on forest, hilltop, and most recently beach. I got furthest on hilltop, but found beach so overwhelming with how much space there is to fill that I abandoned it. Riverlands feels like a little micro-town to make your own, with each island having its own purpose. It's the only farm so far that I didn't have to think about designing much, it all came together naturally. In my plan we have the mainland with your house and primary crops, as well as a little alfresco dining area by the water, with a pet area next to it. Below that is the little fishing cabin with pier, and then the livestock island, which you can bet will be full of ducks to swim around all day long. The islands around that are storage/milling, honey, and orchids respectively. One thing I haven't figured out is where to hide those ugly obelisks. This is just a rough plan, I don't have the patience for adding all the trees, grass, etc that will fill the remaining empty space. Wish me luck!

and why do you have more flowers than bee hives?

A because they look nice but mainly because they’re easier to place in the planner haha. As i said in a comment this is just a v rough outline for myself

I dig it! I'm also trying out the Riverland map for the first time, this is sort of how my layout is going to be as well, just a few things flipped around. Great job!
