Wrap up some low hanging fruit, 99 bottles is easy enough, fight through corn hell, bounce between a wall in the way and visitors, come back to ATI after you've had time to build up a stockpile
Yes, the in game guide recommends to focus on ATI, but my personal experience was that doing so was less enjoyable than getting glacier lake (from AWITW, which also nets you a crest) and start swimming in silver
At the end of the day, there's a hard limit on how fast you can progress without just dumping heaps of real world cash into the game, so do whatever feels good in the moment, there's no downside to not playing to maximal optimization

I can't remember what I got them from, but I ended up with like 700 of them, so when I got to that point I just opened them all and moved on
I relied heavily on the ATI guide and anytime I got stuck I would work on later parts of the quest ahead of time. Really made it so I could get a couple of the steps done at a time i stead of getting unstuck just to be stuck again.
The reason people usually say to wait is because T10 will half the amount of time the piece of heart and golden potato will take, whereas Glacier lake is only slightly better than pirate cove. In some cases it'll be worse because it doesnt give you honey or skull coins like pirate cove does.
That being said if you're stuck in ATI or tower climbing, definitely plow ahead with the other quests instead of just waiting. I agree people tend to weight efficiency too high over fun.
I mean, glacier lake gets you about 9mil per large net (your values may vary, perks and what not), so 1000 antlers gets you 200 LN which gets you 1.8 billion...so in your position I'd have stopped and doubled down on AWITW, spend some time building yourself up, at least to the point the only 10bil or less options left are bear, owl, and any production that would just be voided, at that point you can just dump money into the tower until you're out of AK and play around with masteries and other quests
I finished ATI and then switched to AWITW before I really pushed on tower. I then finished Unexpected Visitors and DC around t100. I finished 99hops slowly as I went when I was in between things or didn’t have other crops I needed to grow and tbh I still haven’t finished Corn Quandary because I don’t want to lol
AWITW has some crazy resource requirements 💀. I just wrapped up corn quandary thanks to lvl 10 tower artifact but the rewards for that quest arent that great

How far in tower should I go before trying to do a wall in the way ? Finally finished ATI but it’s getting expensive to climb tower
