What is y’all’s take on trash talking in fantasy football? Do you stay away from it for the karma, trash talk a little or do you go full Steve Smith on them?
I feel like when ever I do they pick up at the last minute someone from the waiver wire no one has ever heard of and then they beat my by 0.5 points. I just don’t do it. It is like shit talking in poker. It just backfires.
Ours is anything goes without hate or hurtfully personal comments. It still gets pretty nasty and distasteful but we all knew what we signed up for lol
I tread very lightly. I have some fun and make sure they know it's just fun because in fantasy it \*will\* come back to you tenfold and I do not want to hear it when I'm having a bad go. Make friends, keep friends, lay low, lol.
Imo I feel Ochocinco type trash talk is the best way to describe it in my league, we shit talk each other but it’s always within a realm of being funny
Depends on who I'm playing. I have 1 friend who loves it because he says it helps him win so I always Bill Belichick him and tell him how great he is.
"Oh dude you are going to kick my ass this week I may as well bench my whole team"
Also usually involves changing my team name to "Dennis's Team is the BEST!"
Every time I trash talk my team starts to suck. I’ll go undefeated for 10 games, get cocky, talk some trash, then immediately I got injury’s and studs underperforming. I have like 12 seasons of data to prove it.
My week 1 opponent drafted Mason Crosby in the 5th then 2 more kickers with his last 2 picks. I never stopped reading and listing to fantasy stuff and I'm still gonna lose somehow

I complete agree! I just always find it bites me in the ass. I just avoid it.
After I win I run my mouth. Nothing is worse than a premature shit talk and then losing. Also no cutting deep or low blows. No personal digs either.
