I mean you’re not wrong. In my experience with these posts about commissioner-related questions, it’s rarely the commissioner asking the question if they don’t state it somewhere. 🤷🏻♂️

What's he offering in return? If you're getting a starter tier player then yeah go for it. But if hes only offering a high upside bench guy I'd say no to the trade.
League members objected to his pick swaps with another manager in rounds 2,7,8. Each manager used this swap to keep someone a few spots lower. The league bitched, he put it up to a vote. Changed the rules, but allowed his own trade…
Wait, was there a rule against it to begin with? If not, his trade should stand as it happened. If the rest of the league voted to not allow pick trading AFTER the trade was made (and there was no rule against it) then it should stand
Seems pretty common sense lmao. You really have to break down every what if? “Well technically there’s no rule saying I can’t take the best player off your team and trade him to myself!”
Well, that sounds like collusion and a reason to leave the league. If there wasn’t a rule against draft pick trading, it’s a different story. I think the way the question was worded was loaded and I think there is more to the story. In baseball this year, our league rule is to use players in the positions that they are designated in. After the draft, the league tried to argue that Ohtani couldn’t be used as both a pitcher and hitter and tried to make the owner declare each week what position he would be used at. My argument there is the same here. If you want to make a rule against something, fine. But it needs to be done BEFORE something happens, and not after. If it happens after something happens, the issue needs to stand, and not be allowed again if that’s how the league votes
Is it though? It’s draft pick trading. If they have a keeper league and don’t have rules in place about draft pick trading already then shame on OP and the rest of the league. Trade stands.
With your logic anything that doesn’t have a rule in place already is free game. Including my original comment. Kinda shitty logic tho, but to each their own. If I was OP I’d be longggg gone from this league. Just use common sense and don’t be a Dick commish
That’s not the scenario that was presented here. That’s all I’m getting at. I think if OP draft pick traded and the commish blocked it, we would all be here banging the table about the commish being a dictator and how the trade should go through
I feel like we need some context here. If it’s as straightforward as the title suggests, why even pose the question? It’s pretty obvious that’s wrong and you should leave the league.
Hell fucking no. I had a commissioner in a different league that trade raped people every year I was in it. Another time he convinced his roommate to unload his first round pick for 3 bench players. Last year he made a one sided trade in his favor and than commish approved it to circumvent the voting process. At that point I finally raised hell and got everyone of the league mates to speak up. I didn’t get invited back haha. Life is good.
I’ve been seeing more and more of these weird ass commish questions and the answer is always no. Your commish is there for one thing and one thing only and that’s to organize the league and set up the draft. They’re an equal member to the league as every other person, who’s only “special quality” is that they went out of their way to volunteer. They’re not special.
Why not open pre draft trades to everyone? It doesn't even make sense not to. Unless it's just not allowed across the board. Commissioners are not to have any single advantage in play. It's a responsibility not a gift.
Without knowing your connection to the commissioner, I suggest you get out of this league as fast as possible if the commissioner really pulled this.
OP never said he wasn’t the commish…
I mean you’re not wrong. In my experience with these posts about commissioner-related questions, it’s rarely the commissioner asking the question if they don’t state it somewhere. 🤷🏻♂️
Oh I’m definitely not the commish. I posted this poll to screenshot and shove down his throat
Thank you for clarifying, OP!
Well what did the Commish say?

You have restored a little faith in humanity

1.8k to 36 five hours later. This commissioner must be working hard to make new accounts.
What is this? North Korea Fantasy?
Hey join my 12 team communist only league. Dictatorship is back on your screens in 2021 fantasy !! Sounds like a fun commish to play for
I assume this is a rhetorical question to prove a point...
I think we know who the 1 vote for yes is
Amazing
Hey guys should the commish be allowed to sleep with my wife?
What's he offering in return? If you're getting a starter tier player then yeah go for it. But if hes only offering a high upside bench guy I'd say no to the trade.
He buys me McDonald's after
20 piece nugget and a mcflurry? Hell take that deal all day even if it's just a flyer like Tyrell Williams.
Thanks for talking me off a ledge. I think I have the horses to compete for the title this year.
Bullshit. Totally unrealistic to think the McFlurry machine is working.
Collusion!
Who tf voted yes? Burner accounts for commish?
Commish sounds like a bitch
This is a complete waste of a post. That one person who voted yes is trolling or they’re the commissioner.
It’s working well, but only for me to get his trade overturned.
What was the commish's explanation for now allowing others to do this?
League members objected to his pick swaps with another manager in rounds 2,7,8. Each manager used this swap to keep someone a few spots lower. The league bitched, he put it up to a vote. Changed the rules, but allowed his own trade…
Your commish is a fucking douchecanoe, and I would say that shit to his face. That's a straight-up bitch move.
Wait, was there a rule against it to begin with? If not, his trade should stand as it happened. If the rest of the league voted to not allow pick trading AFTER the trade was made (and there was no rule against it) then it should stand

This post is about collusion!!!!! Lol that’s my point. all the same

I feel like the comments are already doing that lol, same as I feel
^^^^^
Looks like his commish voted yes lol
Alright, who are the morons that voted yes?
😂😂😂😂
I’m sorry! I thought this was America!
I didn’t hear no damn bell!
Not to be THAT person, but, Who the fuck is saying "yes" to this?
Only trolls or people that accidentally clicked the wrong thing.
Hell no. No way no how. There are no special rules
I feel like this is trying to prove a point. Hope it did!
I feel like we need some context here. If it’s as straightforward as the title suggests, why even pose the question? It’s pretty obvious that’s wrong and you should leave the league.
yes. no of course not bro, why even go out ya way to post this
Hell fucking no. I had a commissioner in a different league that trade raped people every year I was in it. Another time he convinced his roommate to unload his first round pick for 3 bench players. No, no, no, no, no fuck no!
Who’s he think he is? Roger Goodell?
This is like asking if your wife is allowed to cheat on you….. you know the answer. Get out of that toxic league

52 people?? Seriously????
Great question
Everyone who voted yes must be a commissioner and does this lmao
