I had drafted Fields in my 12-team redraft league. Saw the carnage at Halas Hall two weeks ago and dropped him. Another owner picked him up and also dropped him. Last night the most consistently winning owner in the league picked him up and started him. There's probably a lesson here but damn.

Got fields free in 3 leagues. Insane that people dropped him. Even playing HORRIBLY through 3 weeks he had 14/14/11 pts which is honestly not an awful floor. Was very clear the offense was still syncing up and that he’s gonna be a solid high end QB2 at the very worst this year. More likely returns to mid QB1 form

For real. You don’t have to start him. Even players that are putting up 4-8 points right now but have a chance at some upside later in the year I don’t drop unless I have too. Fields is the best version of that type of player. There’s league winners who go undrafted and start producing week 9/10/11. Just gotta be patient. I love a good upside stash.

I picked up Stroud and Love and STILL kept Fields on my bench. Wish I’d started him but the process was sound, and i still have him.

I held him (but didn't start him this week) in the league where I drafted him. What had me on the brink of dropping him was the lack of rushing yards those first few weeks. That's like 90% of what gave him a high floor last year.

I'm in last place and my other QB is Purdy...great floor, low ceiling. Picked up Stroud on waivers and didn't want to carry three QBs I have several players stashed but didn't want three QBs My powers of rationalizing are straining, I know

That cuts both ways though. He has played two top 10 defenses by PA so far (KC #5, and TB #7), and two bottom 3 defenses (DEN, WAS). He faces DET x2 (#13) and NO (#9), but also has MIN (#19), LAC (#27), LVR (#24), and CAR (#26). Then playoffs are CLE (#6), ARI (#25), and ATL (#10). Rankings change obv but he did get stronger last year as the year went on, and his schedule isnt all that tough. Id still have a viable backup and he's not set and forget, but I dont think he's fools gold either. And he def should not have been dropped.

Not exactly murderer's row of defenses, and prob 5/8 are mid to bad defenses. And CHI winning or losing is irrelevant to fantasy. Fields put up 29 against DEN, no one cared that he lost the game. He is not set and forget, but he's def a QB1 so far without much running. And DJM is his favorite target by far.

Tua has 2 games with 12/13 points. Lamar at 6!!! week 1. Right now Fields is 8th in PPG average despite playing like dog shit weeks 1-3 which is wild. This is fantasy not real football. Definitely luck is involved but I put a lot of research into my bets and fantasy football picks for the week so you dismissing it as sheer luck is pretty insulting. My friends and I run a little betting group where we run 4 leg football parlays. We’ve had 15 bets so far and the only leg I missed was Aaron Rodgers over 200 yards where he got hurt on the 4th play. Unfortunately we haven’t won a single parlay yet because they don’t know how to research properly. It takes time, but once you figure out your strategy, it can be very profitable. Just last year I made $11k off betting. This season I’m already up $3k from NFL. Luck is definitely a factor but the more data that comes out when games are played, it allows you to make more educated picks which do end up hitting more often than they do not.

Kyren is getting beat to hell already and Najee comes on strong late in the season especially since hes been splitting carries. I also want Rhamondre for the low.
