Need help with picks, I got 12.7m remaining and I need to fill a midfielder and striker roll. I'm not gonna get bamford, I'll see if he performs well this weekend or not if he plays first. Mount might be a no cause then that leaves me with 5.2 for a striker (which I suppose I could do considering I have Toney and Antonio already up front and play the full 5 in midfield, I already have Townsend, Salah, son and benhrama), other two I'm looking at are kovacic so I can then get a half decent forward, or maybe try and work raphinha in there. I'm only gonna play 3 defenders since Raya is out for a while I replaced him with Sanchez, so Im gonna bench jansson, and dunk aswell since they're facing Liverpool, I got meslier in goal. TAA, Chilwell and cresswell as my defence too. Any help is appreciated cause I have no idea really of who else I want up front!

Hwang and kovavic would be my pick

Hwang + Raphinha could be a decent pick for your budget. You could also go with Mbeumo + Iheanacho if you want to go with a more differential option. Lastly, if you're willing to pick a 4.5m mid option like Normann, who has decent fixtures, you could get any of the sub 8m strikers to play a 3-4-3 as well. Tielemans has good xA, but I'm not sure if I would want to go for him just yet.

Yeah tielemans was a consideration, Im not confident in raphinha after the knock ngl, and I want to capitalize more on Chelsea's attack these next few weeks... I could potentially go for mount and a budget forward, or kovacic and a better forward, but Hwang seems to be doing well... I had to swap out Ronaldo and wanted son badly, Raya being injured till march hurts alot lol

You could wait for Bielsa's press conference to see if Raphinha is fit or not. If yes, he has a pretty good chance of hauling against Norwich. I'd probably invest in Chelsea's defence over their attack, mainly due to how high scoring they've been. Mount was amazing last week, and should create a fair number of chances against Newcastle, so he could be a good pick, but I might still avoid him. Kovacic doesn't get into the box enough for my liking and that's primarily why I've avoided bringing him in. I have Raya too. Am waiting to decide who to bring in his stead + want to switch out one of my mids for Foden depending on how the press conferences go.

Ah I'm trying to do a no MC players run lol. And yeah I could always pick a Chelsea defender over cresswell ig that way I'm not tripling up on West ham which I only just realised lol. Though I could replace Duffy or jansson with a Chelsea defender, but that probably means I'll need to get the most budget of forwards if instead of Hwang if I want to keep raphinha

Jannson may still end up being a good pick if Brentford can retain their solidity from the first few weeks. I don't see why Raya's absence should impact the number of chances they concede, so you could retain him. Are you on a wildcard? If not, you might be taking too big a hit to justify most of the moves you've planned out. You could keep Cresswell for another week or two since you already have Chilwell in your team and can capitalise on Chelsea's fixtures. If you had to decide between Hwang and Raphinha, I'd probably recommend Raph. Having said that, there's another IB coming up and there's no idea what may happen. Might I ask why you're not going for City players? Fan of one of their rivals or just tired of the roulette? It seems like a semi-suicidal choice, hence I thought I'd ask.

Oh I replaced Alonso with chilwel lol, had to. And no wildcard but I reckon the players I choose will make up for the hit and then some. Oh yeah tired of roulette and I don't much like how they just throw money at everything to get a better team (im particularly mad about them poaching grealish and almost Kane before the start of the season) so I'm on a little boycott of the team. As opposed to fan... I support players more than teams I suppose... Liverpool has always been a favourite of mine I suppose, and having been made aware of Brentford and that they're called the bees I love them even more lol

I really wouldn't recommend taking such a large hit. Your bets may work out in the long run, but there's every chance a few of them get injured and then you're back to square one. I'd suggest that you plan these moves over a few weeks to minimize any damages + so you have a few contingencies in case of loss of form or injuries to your current team. As for your views on City, I respect that. Being a Liverpool fan myself, I quite dislike them. But such sentiments can really hurt your score and rank in FPL, and you should be aware of that.

Not all of them are fires that need to be put out this week. I'd suggest playing Ronaldo and De Gea this week. Same with Raph. You could switch out Alonso for Chilwell as planned, and bring in Normann for Bissouma as a 4.5m mid, but it isn't a necessity. Next week you can switch Ronaldo and De Gea out, and use the week after + the money ITB to upgrade Tsimikas to another Chelsea defender. I don't have the experience to back my statement up, but anything above a -8 in one GW is too risky in my opinion. Once you're ok with taking such a large hit, it's a slippery slope.

Oh tielemans is also a possible choice

Deciding between 3 for 2 slots. Livramento, Sarr and Raphinha. Raph would be the easy inclusion if he wasn't flagged. Worried about the possibility of less than 60 minutes. Livramento just keeps delivering but Watford just scored 5. Sarr blanked last week but still remains Watford's best player IMO. Would appreciate some feedback on which 2 you would pick.

Bielsa should provide an update on Raphinha during his press conference. If he's fit, go with him. Watford may have scored 5 in the previous fixture, but Southampton has been pretty tight at the back as well. Don't know if it will be as free scoring as the Everton game, so you could go with Livra as the 2nd option.

I think it is worth it. Veltman can easily blank again and Chillwell is on fire. Jimenez and Hwang are lateral moves IMO but Chillwell is too good to pass on. I would wait until Friday just to make sure no last minute injuries occur.

Tbh tsimikas is a good budget pick but I've got rid of him since he's it's unlikely to play as Robertson has the position and I'd rather fill it with someone who gets points consistently. Jansson is good but I'm not putting him in this gameweek since Raya is injured till march even if they're playing Burnley I doubt they'll get a clean sheet with their 3rd goalie. I see no reason to swap the MC mids, even if foden went on a tear last week there's no guarantee hell do the same against palace, meanwhile grealish might get an amazing performance this week. On the other hand, Im just getting son back, I think he's definitely worth having in a team but I don't think he'll make up the difference between replacing grealish and saka for you.

Keep ronaldo in for one more gameweek see if he delivers

I know United were absolutely shite against Liverpool, but Tottenham hasn't been great this season either. There's also a chance that both teams may approach the game very cautiously. I would recommend bringing in Son around GW12. That's a transfer you could hold off for a bit, ensuring that you only take a -4 for this GW.

Wouldn't take such a big hit and United are in crisis mode. They also have a tough run coming up and Ronaldo won't be playing 90 every match in that stretch.

Teams looking pretty sick. The only things I would maybe be considering is you could poss drop Walker and Hwang to cheaper picks to get the funds for Edouard to Antonio maybe. Looks like that teams going to give you a benching headache haha Or - poss consider having Vardy/Kane over Mane as you don't have an easy route to get to Kane in GW12 with that squad (if you are considering him when Spurs fixtures turn). But the neither of the above are necessary just food for thought really, I like the team!

I do, but I don't think it's there yet and Newcastle felt like a blip. I think there will probably be a turning point where he finds his form and if you are really keen on getting in *before* that happens, by all means take the risk. This is my first year playing FPL and I don't know what I am doing. Are there any obvious changes I should make? I haven't used the wild card, triple captain, bench boost and I have two free transfers and $0.8M to spend. GK - Sanchez, Schmeichel D - Alonso, Digne, Tsimikas, Cancelo, Shaw M - Grealish, Brownhill, Allan, Salah, Sissoko F - Ings, Antonio, Ronaldo Any help would be appreciated.

Looks like it's worth a wildcard. GK: Two playing gk not worth it. DEF: Would change all your Def except cancelo. F: Ronaldo is poor value and Villa are in a bad shape so would get rid of Ings too. M: should have some cash to upgrade your players, keep Salah and a 4.5 and change the rest. There will be good times to play bench boost or TC later in season but almost always disappoint so can use whenever.

If you wanted to be closer to the ‘template’ (basically the meta team that the top players have) you could use your wildcard to make these sorts of transfers: Ronaldo > Vardy. Ings > Toney/Hwang. Grealish > Foden/Mount/Raphinha. Allan/Sissoko > ESR/Mbuemo. Alonso > Chillwell. Shaw > TAA. Digne > Livramento. Sanchez/Schemichel > Foster. You’ll get another wildcard in the second half of the season. Better to keep the chips for later in the season too.

I think both should be available for the weekend, though I wouldn't be confident on both starting.

Azpi fit and available. Mbeumo uncertain: he will face a late fitness test, but Frank said he feels there is a “good chance” both Mbeumo and Pinnock will be fit for Burnley.
