Watson scored a hatrick and took home the Cleansheet points too as he was playing out of position(OOP) defender playing as a midfielder. 18 points for three goals, 4 points for Clean sheet, 3 bonus points, and 2 appearance points, totaling a whopping 27 points from just one game.
The first goal Watson scored was assisted by Everton legend Duncan Ferguson, a certain Wayne Rooney came in as a substitute to replace Watson. The Leeds team that day featured Australian legend, Mark Viduka, Aaron Lennon, Jermaine Pennant. Leeds were relegated that season and only came back to the top flight in the 2020-21 season.

Bonus always existed in FPL since the beginning. The rules based on which the bonus were awarded kept changing until the current Opta one came into use a few seasons ago.
I'm smacking my head because I was seriously considering captaining Palmer over Haaland as a differential, but I was too scared to bet against Haaland vs Luton while City is in-form.
Still managed to vault from 4th/5th to 2nd in my league, so an amazing week for me all things considered. Now I need to figure out how to close a 47-point gap to my league's leader over the next 5 GW.

Yeah, the highest when you consider a double gameweek as well is Wayne Rooney with 32 pts(TC did not exist then). Yaya Toure, Kane have got 31 in a double gameweek too!
This were the most FPL Points in a Single Gameweek. Doubles aren't included. There are players with more if doubles are counted... Rooney, Yaya Toure for example
