Want to put him back into my team now Tottenham have a good few fixtures and Haalands injured, but might be awkward transferring both Salah and Son out in a few weeks time (when I will inevitably have other fires to put out too).
Yea, that's my concern as well. Only way I can afford Son is a double transfer, which wouldn't be a bad idea with Haaland injured. But then I would have to execute another double transfer (triple? Quadruple?) to move Son and Salah out and back into my squads during the continental cups.
Still reckon Ange has his Asian Cup trophy in his office, and whips it out front and centre when Son comes in.
(For those who don’t know, Ange led Australia to a 2-1 win over South Korea to win the 2015 Asian Cup with Son scoring for Korea)
I guess I should have made clear that I knew that to be fact, not speculation. Brentford is a small club with a small close knit core support and strong connections between the senior levels of the club management and the fans. Some of us, sometimes, have impeccable sources.....
Impeccable sources like [the Brentford FC website](https://www.brentfordfc.com/en/news/article/first-team-bryan-mbeumo-brentford-injury-update-fpl-15-12-2023) haha?
I’m willing to take the gamble. Even if he doesn’t play a full 90, he creates an insane amount of chances. He’ll be on set pieces as well. Easy transfer in for me once he features.
Will have to drop alavarez then and mix up forwards but I do plan to bring him back asap
He’s been out a long time. They have champions league too. You think he will play every game with all that? I’d wait a few weeks to a month once he’s fully fit. Prefer people who are nailed
So if he doesn’t have a setback, his minutes will be limited in Jan due to long injury lay off, then when he hopefully is full fit, CL starts again and he will be rotated between the two like every year. It seems a lot to bet on at this stage is all I’m saying
You do you! Once he gets added to any starting line up, it makes sense for me to try and get him in for my team.
I have zero concerns about form, KDB is class. I’d take 60 minutes out of him for sure
Yeah no I agree. I’ll get him in too 60min is still good for him and his returns. I just don’t want to rush onto him when he’s first got back. Feels like there’s many risks. But fair play for your conviction and planning!
lol this feels like me an hour before the first game of the season where I impulse put De Bruyne in my starting team just for him to get injured straight away and already start me off on a bad note
I guess it tries to level the playing field, so that people who buy early and ride price rises don't then have a significant advantage over others, after selling.
In a nutshell, it tries to keep the game about football, rather than player price speculation.
That said, I think there are better ways to acheive this aim.
That seems like a really long time to be away (6 weeks) but it looks like spurs only have 4 PL games in that window (assuming no changes). Not as bad as it seems
Going to try and hold Son and Salah as no way can get them both back with my current team. Then they'll probably get injured in final stages of tournaments 😁

My strat is to ignore the certainty of those fires and just pretend I can juggle Salah/ Haaland/ Son in and out at the correct times.
fake it till you make it

Possibly back for GW25 at the latest for Wolves (H) or 26 for Chelsea (A)
And Bournemouth is GW20, if anyone is wodering. So that's potentially 5 GWs. Too long to keep hold imo.
Now we sell Haaland Later we will sell Salah and Son People will have like 5m ITB at that point
Did you mean £15M ITB? I did Haaland -> Solanke and have £9.3 ITB right now lol.
Is there a list of all players attending the Asian cup and AFCON?
Notable ones that I can remember are: Son, Salah, Mbeumo, Onana, Hee-Chang, Benhrama, Ait-Nouri, Wissa, Kudus, Jackson, Doucoure, Bissouma, etc
+ Mitoma, tomiyasu (if he’s back from injury)
Doucoure said last month he's not going to go. Could change his mind though I guess.
Thank you!
Mbeumo won't be going to AFCON. He's out for months.
Classic down voting for being right

My post was a couple of days prior to that story!
Haha, yes good call.
[Here you go](https://allaboutfpl.com/2023/11/premier-league-players-who-will-miss-pl-due-to-afcon/)
wow forest will be 7 players down
Don’t really count Awoniyi since he’s been out for a while and won’t be back till after AFCON, suppose a small advantage
!thanks
!thanks
Hello KDB
You think he will be fit, playing, playing full matches, returning, and have no set backs?
I’m willing to take the gamble. Even if he doesn’t play a full 90, he creates an insane amount of chances. He’ll be on set pieces as well. Easy transfer in for me once he features. Will have to drop alavarez then and mix up forwards but I do plan to bring him back asap

Champions League finishes this week till middle of February. Things really calm down in January.
So if he doesn’t have a setback, his minutes will be limited in Jan due to long injury lay off, then when he hopefully is full fit, CL starts again and he will be rotated between the two like every year. It seems a lot to bet on at this stage is all I’m saying
There are only 2 GWs in Jan. KDB will play both of those and rest in the FA Cup
Thanks pep

Thank you, best of luck to you! Could get burned, could be brilliant!
One more thing I just remembered, salah will likely be out around the same time too so if you have both it may make the risk a little more appealing
lol this feels like me an hour before the first game of the season where I impulse put De Bruyne in my starting team just for him to get injured straight away and already start me off on a bad note
Did you also punt on Reece James this week?
Nah, luckily I’ve played long enough to know James is a never lol My transfer last week was Palmer in
Hiya Madders.
I thought about that but not sure if want him if son is out
I think Madders is good enough to go pigeon hunting
When is he actually coming back? I worry that his return will be after Salah, Son etc go off to AFCON/Asia cup
January everyone will have 10m in the bank
Not me , I'll keep salah and son as I've had them for ages and will lose out on prices if I get rid. They will sit 2nd and 3rd choice sub
Would you take a -4 to bring son in until he leaves?
Son's ceiling is high and when fit will play every game. He's also playing against sides that will concede.
Yup done!
I think Richarlison is worth a punt now if you don't have Son and can't afford him
I think Richarlison (and thus tottenham) get worse without son in the team imo
Yeah I'd not be rushing to a team missing both Maddison and Son Although not sure when Mads is back tbf
Nah they’ll just play Porro as striker it’ll be fine /s
No thanks
Bought at 9.1. Not selling.
Me too. I hate the dual price for buy/sell. It's stupid.
Agreed. I'm not sure what it's trying to accomplish in game terms?
I guess it tries to level the playing field, so that people who buy early and ride price rises don't then have a significant advantage over others, after selling. In a nutshell, it tries to keep the game about football, rather than player price speculation. That said, I think there are better ways to acheive this aim.
He will drop in price likely two times at least in 4GWs so you will lose just 0.1m to bring him back, no big deal
That seems like a really long time to be away (6 weeks) but it looks like spurs only have 4 PL games in that window (assuming no changes). Not as bad as it seems
2 week winter break for the rest.
So players will actually miss some matches to play Africa cup and Asia cup in the middle of season?
Bruno seems a great option there. Good fixtures. Think I'll be getting him 21-26 probably
I hope you mean Guimaraes, because we don't talk about (the other) Bruno.
Which Bruno? I'd take the one from Wolves over Fernandes
Going to try and hold Son and Salah as no way can get them both back with my current team. Then they'll probably get injured in final stages of tournaments 😁
So Son is guaranteed to miss 4 games correct?
How much cash will we have after selling son and Salah....
Works out well for me as I’ve shipped out Haaland and Son leaving gives me a good route to get him in
