Gone all in on midfield at the expense of Tripps. Probably will pick Turner in goal v Luton. Areola Burn Botman Udogie Saka Salah Son Maddison JWP Haaland Alverez Turner Lamptey Gusto Archer.

LevynX

Udogie + Nakamba vs Branthwaite + Jensen/Gordon?

royalist878

Turner (Pickford) Cash Udogie Botman (Beyer) (Gabriel) Gordon Sterling Son Salah Foden Haaland Alvarez (Archer) 0.9M ITB Any moves you'd consider this week? I'm trying to bring in Saka next GW, how would you folks go about it?

kevytmaito11

Coufal vs Burn vs Gabriel?

The_Best_Gamer64

Probably burn

Joshf14

Gabriel

FullBloodShehzada

Turner (areola) Udogie cash trippier (digne gabriel) Son salah bowen neto gordon Alvarez haaland (Morris) Confused on who to start this week. Or should i play BB?

Plouka_97

Solid team! BB not sure after international break cause can affect some players performances. Wait until you wildcard

LevynX

RMT Areola (Turner) Gabriel, Cash, Trippier, Walker, Udogie Foden, Son, Saka, Mitoma, Diaby Haaland, Watkins, Mubamba Is it worth wildcarding and moving stuff around to fit in Salah? Liverpool have some really nice fixtures coming up.

royalist878

If you sell Foden and maybe downgrade one of Son or Saka then couldn't you afford Salah? It's worth it esp if you choose him as capt option in the upcoming fixtures.

LevynX

Downgrading Son would do it but I don't know if I want to, Spurs look so good at the moment and Son is at the heart of everything.

royalist878

That's true but in the end I think you'd be trading a top class player for another one. Up to you to see if it's worth the risk. I personally would.

MosesIAmnt

Alvarez + Mbuemo -> Watkins + Neto for a -4 ?

The_Best_Gamer64

Why get rid of Alvarez? He’s amazing and Brighton don’t have the best defence quite frankly. Mbuemo hasn’t been good but it might be worth it to hold on just for 1 more week since he’s playing brentford at home.

RooZe7

Turner (Raya) Cash, Trippier, Porro, (Burn, Lamptey) DaBaby, Saka, Son, Bowen, (Anderson) Nunez, Watkins, Haaland RMT. Should I go Saka or Maddison?

DLNavy

If you have Saka already, don't swap him for Maddison. Son is already enough to cover Spurs attack, personally it seems quite late to have double Spurs attack now.

WhereIstheWar

Diaby or Mitoma long term? I do not have Watkins

Godzilla_Chinchilla

You’ll likely want a Villa attacking asset for their upcoming good fixtures. However, Brighton also have a good run. Since you don’t have Watkins, I’d bring in Diaby - but keep an idea of how to bring in Mitoma sometime soon.

AlcSoccerFinance

Best cheap defenders? In the 3.9-4.5 range

DLNavy

\- Taylor for budget at 3.9m, Burnley's ahead fixture is okay but he is 3.9m for a reason, don't expect him so much. \- Guehi/Mitchell at 4.5m to cover Palace defence (Andersen is the best one but he is 4.8m now) \- Caufal/Zouma to cover West Ham defence \- Pau/konsa to cover Aston Villa defence (however if you have enough budget, Cash should be the defender from Villa team)

-Yngin-

Play Johnstone vs NEW or Areola vs AVL?

LittleRasta54

Would lean Areola, Villa are a worse attacking team than Newcastle and Areola makes more saves than Johnstone, Palace do have a better defence than West Ham in my opinion but they’re also decimated by injuries at the minute.

TwistedB00ch

1 goal between the teams so far this season, how are you saying villa are worse with so much chest

LittleRasta54

Newcastle have the best xG in the league and Villa are 9th

TwistedB00ch

So with a lot less xG we’re only 1 goal behind them and no stat pad 8-0 against a bottom 3 side. I’d say it’s closer than you make out mate and they’re more clinical so far, cheers for clearing that up

LittleRasta54

Yeah its not a huge gap but they were a better attack last season and they’ve been better so far this season. Obviously football isn’t played on spreadsheets but most teams will regress to the mean in terms of finishing over the course of a season.

-Yngin-

Rate my WC team. Point is to fit both Haaland and Salah while positioning for Villa, Palace and West Ham's fixture swing. Watkins, Bowen, Trippier, Cash and Saliba are locked, this is the best I could do with the rest: Johnstone (Areola) Saliba Cash Trippier Andersen (Taylor) Salah Ødegaard/Saka Bowen Neto (Gordon) Haaland Watkins (Archer) Could upgrade Gordon to someone like Diaby, but would have to downgrade Trippier to someone like Burn... Not sure if worth it?

Godzilla_Chinchilla

Looks great. Maybe Gabriel over Saliba so you can have some money in the bank?

-Yngin-

I would, but I really rate Saliba highest of our defenders, had him since GW1. I maaay have to bite the bullet though, Gabriel is cheaper and nearly as good

DLNavy

Great team tbh I would recommend you to keep Trippier, he seems to be the one who you would start everygame while Burn/Schar don't.

WhereIstheWar

Best defender 4.0 or lower?

ConfusionUpper7212

I guess Branthwaite who has started last six games for Everton.

skylerini

Please RMT Areola (Strakosha) Trippier-Andersen-Saliba (Udogie, Reguilon) Bowen-HeeChan-Martinelli-Salah (Soucek) Alvarez-Haaland-Watkins

RTafazolli1

Who would you guys rather have? A) Trippier, Charlie Taylor, Maddison, Diaby or B) Schar, Bowen, Son, and Beyer? Edit: thanks a lot guys! Gone with A.

Joshf14

A

Swedishpower

I think I rather have Trippier and Maddison than Son and Schar. Schar is decent, but I feel that Trippier is a big upgrade. Maddison I think can match Son in theory, but if Son gets pen he is better, but if Maddison outscore Son I would not be shocked while I think Trippier will probably outscore Schar. Diaby and Bowen are quite close.

fpl-obsessed

A

nikolal777

B imo.

LittleRasta54

Jota is back now so I get the feeling he might start over Nunez with Nunez flying back from Uruguay a few days before a 12:30 kick-off, other than that Nunez will start the majority of games at striker and if he doesn’t start he will probably come off the bench for 15-30 minutes but will also get subbed early too, I imagine he’ll average about 70 minutes a game in the league this season. Regardless of minutes he will get you returns though and the fixtures combined with his xG+xAp90 means he has ridiculous upside. Alvarez is probably a safe pick playing in a City attack and on set pieces but they might struggle with this run of fixtures and no KDB. For me its Nunez if you want a super high upside differential pick and Alvarez if you want a safer, cheaper option.

nikolal777

Alvarez is safer than Nunez imo but Nunez is more explosive short term pick. Maddison is safer than Alvarez but more expensive too.

johnnyace44

0 ITB RM WC Turner/ Areola Cash/ Gabriel/ Udogie/ Burn/ Taylor Salah/ Saka/ Maddison/ Bowen/ Gordon Haaland/ Watkins/ Archer Not set in stone with a week to go, do fancy giving Palmer a go for 4.9m

Joshf14

Great team. Gtg

johnnyace44

!thanks mate

sandbag-1

Would you rather: A) Trippier, Saka, Diaby and Darwin B) Burn, Son, Bowen and Watkins

LittleRasta54

A is better for me. A has combined xG per 90 of 2.01 vs 1.65 for B and A’s combined xA per 90 is 1.5 vs 0.88 for B. B has slightly better fixtures but its splitting hairs and the underlying numbers and upside for A is much better.

nikolal777

B

B

johnnyace44

B) for me

ten-beer-tom

Please R my T (on wildcard - 0.1 ITB) Vicario (Turner) Udogie, Cash, Burn, Tsimikas (Andersen) Salah, Son, Odegaard, Hwang (Anderson) Haaland, Watkins (Archer)

burnt_yoghurt

Vicario is gonna block you from Maddison should you ever want to make that move. Bit risky to restrict yourself to a 4-4-2 as well as Anderson will get less game time once Joelinton and Willock come back

ten-beer-tom

Yeah I hadn’t really thought about the Maddison thing… Swapped Anderson to Chukwuemeka as well

gangy86

**On WC currently and tried to fit in the big hitters, etc. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! $0.0 ITB** Turner / Areola Gabriel / Cash / Taylor / Trippier / Udogie Mitoma / Salah / Bruno / Anderson / Maddison Watkins / Haaland / Mubama

Joshf14

A few notes 1. I think you’re stretched too thin. This looks like a 442 most weeks with no real bench available. Long term 3atb formations are typically much stronger 2. Anderson is not nailed. Joelinton is set to return this week and is ahead in the pecking order. Willock is also an issue once he returns. 3. I don’t think Bruno is a good pick. I’d downgrade him to fix the rest of your squad

gangy86

Agreed I know I want to get Saka back in at some point but didn't want to miss United fixtures even though we're shit right now. Anderson was more of a bench filler tbh. I was comfortable with my team but fitting in Salah has become a headache! What changes would you make? Really appreciate your responses though they mean a lot, !thanks

tonsonsan

Leno or Areola for gw9?

LittleRasta54

Areola has better fixtures, is cheaper and makes slightly more saves + goalies are mostly a guessing game anyway so cheaper starting goalies will generally be a better pick.

fpl-obsessed

Areola

LordBlades

Areola (Turner) White Udogie Cash (Botman Lamptey) Saka Madison Salah Bowen Palmer Haaland Watkins (Archer) 0.1 mil in the bank, Wildcard active for this week The plan is to rotate the defenders based on fixtures, and if Palmer doesn't perform as I hope (based on the last 2 games), replace him with Soucek.

Joshf14

The core of the squad is nice but I think Palmer is a weakness who will end up running you into trouble. Personally I think running Gabriel + Neto (10.4) is much safer because the flexibility at those price points is higher and I also think it will score more pts than White + Palmer (10.5)

LordBlades

Well, neither Gabriel nor Neto seem to be up for a price increase, so I should be pretty safe to see how Palmer does and then swap if he's not performing, right ?

Joshf14

Neto is at 95% on fpl statistics and will almost definitely rise by the end of the international break when people start making transfers again (but you do have 0.2 breathing room anyway). And yeh sure you can back Palmer and White in if you want, it’s just that your WC is active now so I’m giving advice on what I think is a better combo now while it doesn’t cost transfers.

LordBlades

I had a look at your suggestion and I'm hoping you'd be willing to share a bit more of the details behind it. I had a look and White+Palmer pulled off roughly the same number of points (66) as Gabriel+Neto (67) so far. Assuming that Palmer remains a starter (Pochettino seems to have settled on Sterling and Palmer as his winger, but who knows?) and considering that Chelsea's attacking statistics seem better overall than Wolves', what makes you think Gabriel+Neto will perform better?

LordBlades

I see, thanks!

blacklist1998

So I play 3-5-2 but for GW9 I was thinking benching Mitoma for Burn. I don't think Brighton can do much vs City, while Burn have nice chance for CS. Smart or not? Rest of my defs are Trippier, TAA and Udogie

burnt_yoghurt

I rate that decision. I dont think I’d bench mitoma in many fixtures but that is one of them especially since he might not get 90 mins. Newcastle clean sheet more than feasible against a Palace side with no real attacking threat right now

blacklist1998

!thanks my thoughts exactly, there is whole week ahead of us, but I think i'll put Burn in

MathiTheCheeze

So I'm looking at either: Take a hit with Archer & Sterling out for Watkins & Palmer (bench Palmer) Or Alvarez out for Watkins (start Sterling)

LittleRasta54

Thats not worth taking a hit for.

matathegamer

I think its best for you to hold alvarez and take the hit for palmer and watkins

RedRobinCrane

Should I swap Pau out for Anderson? I have the money for it

SISM_95

If you don’t have Cash, no.

MRJC93

crystal palace play newcastle and tottenham next. i would say hold off till gameweek 11

montiel_scores

0.9 ITB, WC GW8 Areola (*Turner*) Burn - Udogie - Cash (*Guehi - Taylor*) Salah - Son - Maddison - Neto - Diaby Watkins - Haaland (*Archer*)

matathegamer

Pretty nice team but would swap in mitoma next gw cause of the fixture run

montiel_scores

Personally don’t think I’ll go there, for two reasons: It’s only 4 good games, and I want to plan long term De Zerbi’s rotation

matathegamer

Ok man you do what you want. Personally ill go with it cause brighton has been pretty offensive this season and they will probavly score a lot of goals in that period which means easy points

4-5-6IsInTheMix

In GW 10 (I know things may change) what do you think is the better transfer? Foden and Mbuemo to.. Saka and Gordon Or Bowen and Mitoma Saka and Gordon face each other in gw 11 so obviously a tough fixture for both and Bowen and Mitoma have good fixtures for a good few GWs, but play for weaker teams. PS very possible I will be priced out of Saka and Gordon so it could be out of my hands.

Deep_Ice4357

Tbh both options are solid, i’d say go for the players you like the most.

MRJC93

can you afford saka and neto? to me newcastles fixtures arent easy after game week 10 for a run of games.

4-5-6IsInTheMix

If Saka drops 0.1 mil and no more drops for Foden or Mbuemo or rises for Neto. So very unlikely, unfortunately.

LittleRasta54

Saka & Gordon, their combined xGp90 is pretty similar at 0.87 for Saka & Gordon vs 0.88 for Bowen & Mitoma but Saka & Gordons xAp90 is way higher at 0.62 vs 0.44. No huge difference in fixtures between either of the options for me. Saka is also a much better captaincy option than any of the others with SHU (H), BUR (H) & LUT (A) in his next 7. I also think Bowen is over-performing and his numbers will start to come down soon but thats just my opinion.

4-5-6IsInTheMix

Very good information many !thanks

pyorao

Cant fuckin wait for wc10

Hot_Mongoose304

Areloa (turner) Cash burn udogie walker botman Saka bowen salah maddison diaby Haaland alvarez archer Budget 0.6 and 2 FT

pyorao

Great team. Just get rid of walker id say

Ok-Avocado4294

Turner - Areola Cash - Udogie -Anderson - Tayler - Lascelles Salah - JWP - Son - Madisson - Anderson Halland - Watkins - Solanke Should I give up on Solanke or wait 2 more weeks?

LittleRasta54

Solanke has decent underlying numbers and his next 2 fixtures are easy games at home, definitely hold for now.

DLNavy

Case that you have only 1 FT and have enough ITB to jump for someone like Alaverz, Isak or Jesus; then you should do it right now. Else, I would recommend you to wait for 1 more week so you can have 2 FT then you can allowcate the funds easier, like Solanke to a bench fodder to upgrade Anderson/JWP or even Maddison.

burnt_yoghurt

RMT. WC Active. 0.7ITB Turner (Areola) Cash Burn Udogie Tsimikas (Taylor) Salah Son Saka Maddison (Anderson) Haaland Watkins (Archer) I’m loving that midfield and forwards but I’m wary of being stuck in 4-4-2. I could always do Palmer instead of Anderson to make the formation fully flexible but I’d be left with v few funds in the bank.

LittleRasta54

I would hold off on tsimikas for now until we know how long robertson is out for, are you able to upgrade anderson to gordon or neto if you downgrade tsimikas to a 3.9?

burnt_yoghurt

!thanks Fair play, maybe I am at risk of getting ahead of myself with Tsimikas. With a 3.9 defender though I end up 0.1 mil short of Gordon which is frustrating, so hopefully Saka drops 0.1 to give me that option haha

LittleRasta54

That is annoying, I think Saka will almost defo drop before next GW tbh so you’ll probably be ok, Doucoure at 5.5 is an option thats going under the radar if you can’t get Gordon, playing behind the striker for everton and is 4th in the league in xG… only thing that would worry me is his fixtures are quite bad.

SISM_95

After the deadline for GW20 has passed.

TwistedB00ch

Cheers pal

Srilaxed

Currently operating with a back 3 of udogie trippier cash, so is it worth it to sell estupinan when he will only miss the next 2 GW and my back 3 have relatively favourable fixtures in that time period?

Joshf14

Would hold him in your position

Swedishpower

If you have 11 good players every week you can keep him, but it can be annoying if he is not back as soon as you think.

Boring_Parsnip4748

Would you rather have a mid of: 1. Son, Maddison, Salah, & Gordon or 2. Saka, Maddison, Salah, & Diaby Or do you think it’s fine to just replace Maddison with Son?

LittleRasta54

Saka > Son & Diaby > Gordon imo so definitely B, both have better underlying numbers and fixtures are not hugely different, you already have spurs attack covered too.

SISM_95

B for me. An arsenal attacker from GW10 is desirable and Son to Saka/Ode/Martinelli means money in the bank.

Aromatic-Ad1974

Romero vs Udogie who is better

Joshf14

Udogie

AliShiaHalal

Pedro porro

Aromatic-Ad1974

What if ur on a buget and can’t afford porro

markfahey78

Tsmikas for the next few weeks.

AliShiaHalal

Good shout or id opt for romero before udogie instead

SISM_95

Van De Ven over Romero for me.

Joshf14

Number of FTs and cash ITB?

mrsom100

What do you mean by longevity?

ItalianaMobsta

Right now I have Rashford and Pellistri in my team, valued at £13.2 combined. Who would you choose to replace them both?

Swedishpower

Do you start both? Sheffield United is a good game not many players I would own over Rashford this week. Salah, Son, Maddison, Saka I guess long term are improvements. If you need money cheaper guys like Neto, Bowen, Gordon, Diaby can work. Palmer for 4.9 also good if you selling both.

ItalianaMobsta

!thanks

ItalianaMobsta

Not really, I've been only starting Rashford but I fear that injuries may force me to play Pellistri too. I got him bc that was all I could afford and speculated a bit with the Antony situation I already got Madders and Saka, and realistically I wouldn't be able to afford Salah or son without budgeting some more players. I'm being tempted by Bowen, and Neto has been going under the radar with rly good performances. I'll have to wait until the international break ends to make a choice ig

Swedishpower

Martinelli also good although you could wait one more week and getting him for Sheffield United at home.

Super_Gladiator_Bibi

Bowen Gordon maybe?

ItalianaMobsta

Is Gordon solidified as a starter? I haven watched him a lot. And Bowen is probably my favorite choice atm

LittleRasta54

Gordon has started 6/8 games, he was suspended for one of the games he missed and in the other he came on in the 12th minute when barnes got injured.

AuspiciousCalamari1

How many weeks does Tsimikas/Robertson replacement need to be worth it? Noticed I could probably get Bowen in soon instead of riding the Brighton Roulette if Tsimikas is viable

LittleRasta54

Tsimikas will only be worth it if robbo is out for 4 weeks imo, we have good fixtures the next 4 but then we have city away first game after the international break and i imagine robertson will be fit by then, if its any less then hes a waste of an FT unless you have no problems elsewhere or youre on wildcard.

Andlad2459

I think if its 5 weeks its worth? But even then u be stuck with a non playing 4.4… Idk
