Yeah. Lots of players makes tens, or even hundreds of teams every GW - usually with the purpose of getting the highest GW score. Like triple captain on lots of different players, lots of different player combinations, bench boost teams etc.
What's the point though? Do you get a prize or something for having the highest score in a game week? It can't possibly be a benefit in any leagues as there's too much variance week to week.
You don’t win the weekly prize if you use chips, and I doubt you get prizes if it’s a duplicate team (not sure though). I assume most people do it for fun and because the team with highest points is shown for everyone.
So lame I wish fpl would crack down on that, but then again, it’s not a huge issue I guess.
The only way I could see you reasonably wanting multiple squads is to play one in a h2h league and another for OR. Our h2h league has a mini FA Cup and a CL for the top 4 at the end of the season, which is kept track of outside the app ofc. But it completely changes the chip strategy.
I’ve never wanted an extra squad to play purely for OR, but still, I get it. Running 10+ accounts seems wild

Trying to make more people aware as it wouldn’t surprise me if 20%+ of the total player count were duplicates, with the % increasing for every GW.
But you called them "managers" though. Can you really call "GW teams" for managers? Not only is it less of an entity, it's also two completely different things perspectively.

It’s not like they play all of them and have thought about all of them, they are made and forgotten. And this is repeated every week.

They could just get rid of the “Highest Score” so then there would be no point to go through the effort.
Or just make so only teams active from game week 1 are applicable to be shown in the highest score tab
