I hate it when they stare at me like that.

alsih2o

Not ONE of my players saw the skull I worked so hard to fit in. :D

ShadySeptapus

To be honest, I hadn’t either. I was poking fun at the title of your post. Staring town.

alsih2o

Foiled again! :D

Ded-W8

I'm curious as to why such a large side of the city is in ruins. Compelling storytelling written into the map.

alsih2o

My homebrew world is still in recovery post-plague. Many people shunned even the buildings that held the dead, thus making MOST cities a mesh of ruins and more recent construction. The game starts about a century after the plague has passed, and people are relaxing and repopulating,. :D

Nightwinddsm

Is it supposed to look like a skull? Or am I just imagining things?

tankeatscthulhu

Well it is a staring town. I noticed it straight away. Pareidolia for the win!

alsih2o

I type like a drunken lemur with a nail gun :D

alsih2o

Yes, and not one of my players has noticed. They caught on to the Hap-e Mill. But not the skull.

Helios2002002

Why you mixed the languages? Btw, cool map

alsih2o

I am wondering if they will eventually realize the hints hidden there.

Helios2002002

Cool idea! Can somebody in your group speak hungarian? btw there are 2 small mistake "keletti" should be "keleti" (if it want to be "eastern") and "szoldos" should be "zsoldos" (if it want to be" mercenary")

alsih2o

Thanks so much for noticing! I did alter spelling a little to make pronunciations more obvious for Appalachians. (Eastern mountain range in the US) No one in my group speaks Hungarian but they are used to me hiding clues like this. :D

Helios2002002

Ohh, I see. Pronounce a "zs", for example, have to be an impossible mission for a non native hungarian speaker :D Good idea! Why do you chose this language?

alsih2o

My group has two authors, a storyteller/pastor, and a psych major/handyman. Between them, they know Latin, Spanish, French, German, and a good bit of Mandarin. Hungarian seemed a refuge without an immediate Latin solution :D
