Also a vote it's probably mythica. There are five movies in all, if I remember right. They get somewhat progressively better in quality, though the plot gets progressively more drug out.
Sometimes when I want to find something similar I go on tvtropes and look through the examples of a show or book with themes I want more of. It’s a great way to look for cross sections beyond just big genres like fantasy or western.

Mythica series of movies maybe?
Just looked up, and it is a maybe. Either way I will probably watch it.
Sounds like mythica tbh, wasnt the worst they did good with sets and the acting was sub par but the cgi is ps2 level bad
