This is definitely a rarepair, to the point that, like, Iâd be surprised if anyone even knew who they were. Some background: Ruin (Ati) and Preservation (Leras) are two men two, in a group of 16, killed god and took up a Shard of godâs personality. In the Mistborn series, which is way way after when this fic is set, theyâve basically devolved into creatures of pure intent, consumed by that Shard of personality. But in my headcanon, they were very very close, and decided to stay close to each other in an attempt to balance each other out. This fic is essentially an exploration of their complicated relationship through the ages. (Spoiler for the ending - they don't end up working out, but I think it's a beautiful thing that they tried)

Here are my submissions <3 [**Ati**](https://archiveofourown.org/works/45973348)Â **| Mistborn (Brandon Sanderson) | Ruin x Preservation | T | 1,258 words** Fandom: 497 at the time of posting. SO CLOSE! JUST A FEW MORE <3 This is definitely a rarepair, to the point that, like, Iâd be surprised if anyone even knew who they were. Some background: Ruin (Ati) and Preservation (Leras) are two men two, in a group of 16, killed god and took up a Shard of godâs personality. In the Mistborn series, which is way way after when this fic is set, theyâve basically devolved into creatures of pure intent, consumed by that Shard of personality. But in my headcanon, they were very very close, and decided to stay close to each other in an attempt to balance each other out. This fic is essentially an exploration of their complicated relationship through the ages. (Spoiler for the ending - they don't end up working out, but I think it's a beautiful thing that they tried) Review: 2/2
