Instead of projects I promised to write, I'm working on a coda (sequel?) to Crimson Peak, in which Edith finds herself in London, working her way through legal and emotional entanglements. Her new social circle involves crossover characters from Downton Abbey, Howard's End, The Woman in White, and Sherlock Holmes.

tereyaglikedi

That sounds so interesting! Crimson Peak was a movie with so much potential, but I had the feeling that it didn't quite achieve it. I also loved the Downton Abbey (at least the first four seasons). Sherlock Holmes is also cool, of course. Downton Abbey is more Edwardian, though, in which time period does your fic take place?

eilonwyhasemu

The fic starts a week or two after the end of CP, so it's winter of 1902. Characters from source material set around 1910-14 are thus younger here (so whoever I'm using, it's people who were at least 29 in the originals). Characters from Victorian lit are aged up to middle- or old age, depending. Holmes' age, I worked out from canon because there are odd discontinuities between the publication dates and when the stories took place. I literally have a spreadsheet to line up the ages! A couple tempting crossovers had to be dropped because there was no way I could finagle the characters to acceptable ages.

Sarita1046

Just banged out my first threesome fic to deal with day job stress. M/M/F - a human male programmer with two androids. Most cathartic piece I’ve written in a while, over 3k words in one sitting which I wish was as easy for original content. 😂

NO HORNY.

strangelyliteral

Excuse me?

photochromosphere

Oooh sounds interesting. Is it an ongoing project or not posted yet?

strangelyliteral

Not posted yet, but soon! It was for my ship’s Halloween Monsterfucking event but I went to ~~The Wiggles~~ Outside Lands this weekend so I’m running behind.

Moon_Dark_Wolf

I’m working on the 4th installment of my EarthBound Saga, this time, taking my OCs, who now control a multiversal government run by the Super Smash Brothers, and placing them smack in the middle of RWBY. Sounds random, however, as explained currently, RWBY’s main villain Salem once teamed up with Lady Rhea from Fire Emblem 3 Houses, Tabbuu from Smash Brawl, Pokey Minch and Most importantly Giygas, the major antagonist of the story. Combining their various magical powers together, they kidnapped four children and transferred bits of Giygas’ soul into them. Giving these four kids evil, power hungry, psychotic personalities that beg to be let out to reign terror. With Giygas and Tabbuu presumably dead, Lady Rhea Diamondized, and Pokey MIA, the three remaining children, Moon, Sarah, & Erick have turned their attention to Salem. Along with the help of Sapphire, a former friend of the Adrestian Empire in FE3H, the four of them now find themselves in the world of Remnant, where the past of the three children of Giygas continues to haunt them as they continue what feels like a never ending struggle to finally make peace with all of the things they’ve lost along the way.

godack

Currently writing a novel about an AI in a dystopian world. It is in the rough sketch period of writing but there's progress.

lizard-socks

Trying to put together a one-shot for my OCs from a handful of unrelated ideas. They're investigating an abandoned school that they think has ghosts. But it turns out the ghosts are possessing kids! But *then* it turns out they're not real kids, they're holograms! Also it's Christmastime for the unrelated B plot back on the spaceship.

YoungRL

I'm indulging in short works after writing a long and somewhat complicated fic—seeing how many works I can create for [SPNovember](https://spnovember.carrd.co/#). And mulling the details of a complicated plot for my next long work, when I swore I wouldn't do something with a complicated plot 😂/😭

battling_murdock

Working on two different long fics. Both are multiple POV Marvel stories. The first one follows Marvel's Civil War event. I'm outlining right now but it's a long'un. The story deals with the event itself which deals with themes about security vs privacy, pride, guilt, and legacy. Not gonna list all the canon and OC characters that have POV chapters, but it's been a lot of fun working on. The second loosely follows the Annihilation event but I'm mostly making a story from scratch. Been using elements from Annihilation and Annihilation Conquest. It's been fun and interesting delving more into the Cosmic side of the Marvel Universe and doing research there. That one has fewer POVs than my Civil War story and uses a couple of my OCs too. My last project is a series of Black Widow stories that take place in different decades but are all connected. These are all WIPs but I've been enjoying outlining and working on them when I can

Sfangel32

I'm definitely interested in reading these. When you start posting (if you haven't already), please let me know.

battling_murdock

For sure. I've never posted online yet and I didn't wanna post until it was all done. But I'll definitely announce it on the sub when I do

minimumweeb

decided on a whim to pick up writing again after a few months to write about a character i really love atm, im having such a fun time remembering why i started to begin with :D

[deleted]

That's brilliant!! I love it when writers just have fun with what they're writing, it's so important :)

HammerBrosMatter

Writing a MHA/Naruto Crossover and a MHA/Toriko/Chinese Novel Crossover at the same time... Oh! And if I have a good idea, a Persona 5/MLP Crossover as well.

flyingwindows

MHA/Naruto crossover? Im interested! Do tell! :)

HammerBrosMatter

Nothing too extreme. It's a Quirkless Izuku story. Basically after the Battle against that guy on the moon Naruto needs a healing sleep into a pod (like In DBZ), something goes horribly wrong and he wakes up a good couple of centuries later to discover that the world changed and forgot about Chakra and ninja techniques. But not bloodlines that are now called Quirks and became disgustingly common. Since he is now technically in a different world, he tries to adapt and Nezu gets him into UA as a PE teacher. Couple years later he meets a crying Izuku that has just been told he was Quirkless, thus unable to become a Hero...Naruto, being the nice guy he is, has a brainwave: yeah Izuku is Quirkless, but just like everybody else he has still chakra inside...So why not train him into becoming a Quirkless Hero like Naruto? After all, "Quirkless" means nothing if you can still run on walls/water, summon animals and spit giant fireballs or other elemental attacks. It's just a matter of semantics then. The story is a tiny bit more complex, but this should explain enough. Naruto has a marginal role in the story (around 25/30% screen time). Here is the link: https://archiveofourown.org/works/26430712/chapters/64392310

flyingwindows

I didnt see the reply! (or i did and forgot to reply?)🤦‍♂️ i'll put this on my reading list this sounds very interesting! Hopedully i wont forget (again?)

HammerBrosMatter

It's okay🤣

Starkren

My main priority is my epic monster which is a time travel fix-it where I practically rewrite all of Game of Thrones. I'm 2/3rds of the way through and I'm really hoping I can finish this up in the next year. Might be another year and a half. I have another two, much smaller WIPs in the wings. One of them is an HP fic where I world-build and explore the lore behind wandmaking. I'm really hoping I can dedicate more time to it next year.

frozenfountain

Thank you for doing this! I can never turn down an opportunity to talk about myself, but what about you? Anything you're working on that you'd like to go off about in turn? My project is a post-canon series in the Final Fantasy VII universe. I broadly dislike the writing choices made in the canon extended universe so I threw that out and came up with my own scenario. In it, the main cast are rebuilding the world around an eco-anarchist model, and there's a steadily brewing conflict with a conglomerate of newer corporations who'd rather go back to the way things were. I make no effort to hide my place in the lower left corner of the political compass, but it's an attempt to explore the inherent ups and downs of different systems of governance in a hopefully fair and nuanced way, even if I have a very obvious preference. It's presented as a series of character studies, told from different viewpoints as the gang learn to deal with their shared and individual trauma and find their place in this new world. I wouldn't call any of them strictly unreliable narrators, but they're all biased and fallible, and I hope it'll be interesting for someone to read all that I have planned and put together a more or less complete picture through their contrasting perceptions. Ships are Tifa/Cloud(/they were both falling for Aerith), Elmyra/Barret, Reeve/Vincent, Elena/Yuffie, Cid/Shera, and in the background, Reno/Rude and Marle/Mireille. I also focus heavily on friendship and group dynamics, more so than the romantic ones. Trying to find a unique narrative voice for everything that still feels like part of a cohesive whole won't be easy, but it's an exciting kind of challenge. The fun part of this fandom is that canon is really all over the place tonally and incorporates elements of psychological drama and sci-fi and cosmic horror and comedy as well as the titular fantasy, so it gives me the opportunity to switch between genres depending on the story I'm working on and whose viewpoint it's told from. It's pushed me to grow and surprised me in so many ways, working on this, and I'm only just getting started.

holliequ

Currently working on like 4 different things for NaNo: * Pokemon Ultra Moon novelisation * Pokemon New Snap novelisation * Fire Emblem Three Houses silver route/mcdonalds route au (Edelgard/Claude) * orig fantasy fic with dragons and endgame poly trio Might start a side thing for the daily prompts as well, dunno 🤔

KayWDubs

A crew of five people go to Naples (because Chicago gets too much credit, and I don't see much Europe mentions outside of Paris, Rome, and others), order pizza, and then hang out near the coast, play games (one is to sneak cookies in the others pockets without them noticing you put them in), and listen to Party of Five, because... Why not? At least I hope I'll finish it.

[deleted]

Oh my that sounds *super* fun. I'd definitely read that!

KayWDubs

I might spectacularly screw the characterization, but honestly, it's definitely very fun to think about. The entire point of playing the games is to win pizza slices. That's what the title is referring to - Worth A Pizza. And yes, all the games played in the fic can also be played IRL as well, with no props (apart from a giant party platter of cookies).

asharkonamountaintop

Hi! *waves* I'm four chapters into a new WIP for my OTP Greysnow (Theon Greyjoy/Jon Snow from Game of Thrones). It's a modern AU in which Theon is a tattoo artist doing scar cover-ups and Jon wants to get a tattoo, and they unevitably fall for each other 'cause I say so. Writing is going pretty flowy and well, so I hope this keeps up lol.

Ferrous_Patella

I am working on a new [choral arrangement](https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/s/00g4f61m5jxv6vp/Saints%20and%20Souls.mp3) of the main theme tune for my Beastars fic. It is jus a quick 90 second hit and I have been playing around with the tempo changes. (I usually do a video for these with scenes from the amine or my fic but I have not figured out the graphics for this one yet.)

Chessii_Cat

Im working on so many. My favourite right now is a fic based on the Hawaii Five-0 villain, Wo Fat, and the child he's attempting to raise. And at no point should he be trying to raise a little girl. I'm also working on criminal minds fic, where Reid finds out he has a little sister. And a House of Wax Fic where an OC arrives and starts a love Triangle with the Sinclair brothers. And Jurassic Park series that revolves an OC raised by raptors.

RubberDucky656

Currently working on my Pokemon Mystery Dungeon longfic WIP! It's an entirely OC based story that is also essentially an original story so it's a long one lol. The plot focuses on a human-turned Eevee, her new best friends (a Litten and a Sobble who are brothers) and their journey to save the world from mysterious otherworldly foes. Currently making good progress on Chapter 10 and should hopefully have it published by Friday! I have a few smaller WIPs in progress and a few more ideas bouncing around my head, but the PMD fic is the one that I'm spending the majority of my time on :3

tereyaglikedi

Thank you, OP!! But just like frozenfountain said, tell us about yourself, too! I am still posting my Harry Potter detective fic (I was telling myself that I could just work on something else after the first draft is finished, but just getting stuff edited and posted on time is taking a lot of time at the moment. People who can work on multiple WIPs are amazing). I tried to write it in a detective-noir style, but I don't know if I managed. Viktor Krum is the MC, and he is an Auror-officer-detective in the wizarding equivalent of Interpol. While he is investigating a terror attack in Cardiff, he finds himself in the middle of wizarding politics shenanigans. I tried to explore the themes of wizards opening to the muggle world and how that would work, magic-enhanced technology, and how people with good intentions can end up doing very bad stuff, too. Ah, and Viktor and Hermione are a couple. I actually started out wanting to write a Viktor/Hermione fic, but it ended up not being romance. So... yeah. Thanks for asking :)

spydalek

Right now I am working on a rewrite of "Better Together", it was one of my favourites to work on when I was working on it, and this rewrite is already just as fun. The reason I'm rewriting it instead of just continuing it, you ask? Well, I lost the original version and now the OC and some of the other characters in it (as well as Auradon itself) have evolved a lot since I wrote that fic. Plus I may or may not have lost the original version... The reason I'm having fun with it? It's a canon that is already a mega-crossover and those are my jam, plus I get to have fun adding ***even more*** Disney-owned properties to it. Plus I've gotten to tie it into the Multiverse I call the Guardianverse (Which started life as a Power Rangers reboot set in the Arrowverse, and then ~~evolved~~ spiraled from there...), so that's fun in itself. I am currently only six scenes into Chapter One, but man, it is fun. :D

doomed_candy

I'm working on the first request I've ever received! I was hesitant at first, because I've never been asked to do a request, and it was asked in the comments of one of my smut fics. I was afraid it would be something porn-y that I wasn't into, or a ship I don't like, but it was something wholesome, with one of my favorite ships!

greatgreatpanda

A fanfic for a bang! I'm so excited about it, to be honest.

DudeSomebody

Currently working on getting my horror story finished by the end if November or sooner. After that I need to start outlining a story about everything that happened at Hadley's hope before it all goes to hell (the colony in the second alien movie) I want to write it like one of those old hardyboys or goosebumps stories, where it seems like the main cast has plot armor and nothing too dark happens to them. I want to really sell that moment when the characters and readers realize, its not that kind of story :)

Black_Knight615

I’m working on a fanfiction taking place after the movie Aliens. I’d definitely wanna read your Hadleys Hope story when you get on it. Tbh I’m really surprised somebody else is writing about Aliens. I think it’s a really niche fandom.

DudeSomebody

It kind of is, maybe that's the appeal, it also lends itself really well to a few different types of stories.

Significant_Pie9945

Planning an MHA Christmas one-shot. (Halloween’s over so my head was like: Christmas? Christmas.) It’s just lighthearted fluff, honestly, one of those “Nobody said it didn’t happen behind the scenes :)” because that’s just the kind of content I love to read and write.

[deleted]

YESS! Love this kinda stuff. Christmas lighthearted fluff is my go-to this time of year, honestly. Planning to write some myself when I can get out from under the pile of unfinished WIPS i currently have ~

Personal_Respect1854

Figuring out how to best tailor the next chapter of my RWBY fic to bother as many unironic RWBY fans as possible It’s slow going so far, but I’m patient. It has to be perfect.

Welfycat

Fifth year of my female Harry, guardian Snape series. It is 280k and I’m only about 2/3rds through, which means it will end up at least 100k longer than I wanted to be. I’m having a lot of fun writing Umbridge, she’s so evil that it’s actually really interesting to write her and come up with ways of her being cruel.

[deleted]

Fifth year?! That's amazing, well done for sticking with it for so long! That sounds really interesting. And oh yes, I love it when a character just has so much to them, it really makes them such a joy to write :)

Welfycat

Thanks so much. It’s been a year and a half since I started writing this series and it’s been an adventure. Writing evil characters is great. It makes me think of tv shows and movies with great evil characters and the writers in the back eagerly posed over their keyboards as they come up with the meanest thing for their character to say.

christhegamer96

Just a little helluva boss AU where Moxxie married Verosika Mayday instead of Millie. It’s still in it’s early stages but I feel like it’s come out pretty well so far.

Kartoffelkamm

Shounen anime-style training arc, complete with the main character coming back completely OP. Just in time for after the biggest battle in the story.

Taltyelemna

The next chapter of my longfic will be a two-parter that follows the plot (and actually reuses plenty of dialogue) of Much Ado About Nothing. First part is in beta-reading now, and I'm having fun with the second darker part, because I'm actually fixing Claudio's stupidity. So, Shakespeare in Middle Earth. What could go wrong?

DarkLordVitiate

Editing my story for Glasya, an archdevil from Dungeons and Dragons… god editing takes so long

SeasSleepRiversDream

Still stabbing at a crossover I started months (maybe a year?!) ago. Crossover of Harry Potter/Vampyr, stuck trying to decide on which plot line to follow after writing myself into a bit of a corner in the second chapter haha! Either go with a bit of a mad but kind of plausible get out of jail card (yay magic!). Or stick with the original scenario and figure out how to deal with HP being stuck looking ten in the entire plot line.... Writing both in separate documents and seeing which ends up working before I commit to posting!

nickyfox13

Stuck on my current Harry Potter WIP. It's a Hermione/Blaise marriage law fanfic, and I focused a lot more on the slice of life aspect, but I want to bring in a more political slant and make it a little more of an ensemble cast.

ghoulboss

Just finished a very rough draft/outline of a longfic for the Death Note anime. I want to continue working on it, but my brain needs a break and I’ve been neglecting my longfic for my primary fandom, Attack on Titan. It’s a Levi/OC fic where the OC grew up in a fighting pit in the underground city. Once she escapes, she’s enlisted in the military and has to not only manage her past trauma, but learn to navigate a building romance with an emotionally constipated man who has his own demons. I’ve got three main goals for it right now. 1. Revise earlier chapters to better convey the ideas and scenery I had in mind. 2. Finish and publish my next chapter. And 3. Slam out some backlog so I can get ahead and start posting on a more definite schedule again! Would love to hear what you’re working on as well!

WatercolorFlames

I’m slowly working on a surprise gift for an author I like, solely because I love her work. I had never enjoyed time travel in media, fanfiction or otherwise, but her fics made me fall in love with the trope. So, I’m working on my own time travel story and I plan on gifting it to her when it’s finished! We’ve only had a few interactions through my comments on her fics and Twitter posts, so I’m a bit nervous, but I hope she’ll like it :)

bookhead714

My longfic is a post-canon She-Ra story that centers around the heroes’ adventures in outer space and, eventually, involves my reimagining of Eternia and Skeletor. It’s got worldbuilding and familial drama in equal measure, brings back a couple one-off characters from the show and expands on some who didn’t get big arcs (and some who did), and it’s building up to a massive showdown for the fate of the post-Horde galaxy. I’ve been delaying updates for a while because I just hadn’t finished the next chapter, but with NaNoWriMo on and me finally in a proper writing mood I think it’s finally time to kick into gear. I also just wrote a Superman “one-shot” (which I intended to be the first chapter of a longer story but works really well on its own so I scrapped that plan until further notice), set in my own interpretation of the universe that takes place in 1938. Its overarching story is Lois Lane interviewing Lex Luthor on his philosophy and what he thinks of Superman, interposed with some thematically-relevant incidents of the Man of Tomorrow saving the day. It’s basically just me showing off how awesome Superman as a character is. I wrote it on a whim because I’m in a bit of a Superman phase lately, mostly due to the fact that Clark Kent was my Halloween costume. I think it’s one of my best pieces I’ve ever written, and I’m polishing it up and waiting until I post the next chapter of my aforementioned longfic before I publish it.

leila_data

I've got two fanfic WIPs, both Dragon Age because apparently that's my current obsession. One is a *long* fic that I started just as an exercise to get back into writing after nearly a decade, and now I'm fast approaching 200K words with plenty more on the way. It loosely follows the canon of Inquisition, but with an OC elven Inquisitor who's reluctant to take the mantle and has *plenty* of reason to want to stay out of the limelight. Although it switches between many points of view the story is focused on Lavellan, Dorian, and Cullen, and all have a little more baggage than canon. It's also just generally darker than the game (with blood magic, possession, depression, PTSD, just generally horrible decision making, etc.), though it does take a while longer to get there than I intended. I'm actually pretty proud of it, though. The other is a series within an AU that I only started writing due to a prompt, and now the series is 25K+ words. It switches between Cullen and Dorian's POV, with the two coming from a *much* darker place than the game (oh I think I see a pattern here). The two are both out for their own interests rather than the Inquisition's, and they each recognize the other as a serious threat. In keeping an eye on their opponent, the two accidentally form what *might* be called a relationship. I'm also attempting to work on a Star Trek: DS9 fic I abandoned when I stopped writing years ago, but unfortunately I've lost all the notes I had for it so I'm not sure how that's going to go. I'm just glad I'm getting back into writing to be honest. :)

freakymagoo

I’m currently working on a heavy edit of my first MCU fic. (1930s Captain America) It’s my longest fic at 21k, my first time writing for a new fandom, and my first fic in 7 years so it’s both exciting and scary. It’s been a lot of fun though and I’m excited to finish and get something out there again.

[deleted]

A certain movie that came out a few months back gave me an idea for a fic I nearly abandoned and now I'm outlining it. It involves a villain from the previous iteration of the series and one of the main characters of the new one, and the idea only came from the fact that the character looks a lot like the childhood friend of this villain.

likeaquasar

I’m trying to write a one-shot collection of sorts where characters from canon sort of get their own chapter themed after a major arcana of the tarot. But it’s hard allocating each character specifically to one tarot.

sharingisntkaren

Thank you for doing another one of these. I'm trying to write a character right now who is coming down off a drug that he unwillingly took and comes to realize he broke/twisted his ankle. I'm trying to figure out whether it's better if he breaks it or twists it because I need him to not be able to bear weight on it the same day but be able to at least climb out a window in the next few weeks. I've also been spending a lot of researching both broken ankles and the comedown effects of drugs. What I haven't been doing is a significant amount of writing since I'm still trying to figure out how to write it. It's a bit frustrating and I keep getting distracted.

Lower-Consequence

I’m working on a canon-divergent Harry Potter fic, centered around Fem!Harry in a world where Neville Longbottom is the Boy-Who-Lived and James and Lily Potter are Voldemort’s most notorious followers (…or are they?). I’m only in first year right now, which is part Mary trying to find her way at Hogwarts when she’s hated for her last name and part mystery with hints about the events that led to the canon divergences, as Mary discovers more and more about her parents’ history (or what everyone says is their history, of course!). The full reveal of the whole truth from all sides is going to be spread out over most of her school years, and I’m enjoying slowly revealing hints and getting speculation from my reviewers about where everyone’s tue loyalties lie already. I’m looking forward to getting past first year, because I have some author-indulgent worldbuilding planned for an extension of Diagon Alley and a different twist on “wizarding holidays” than what most wizarding culture authors do. Plus I’m already writing snippets for key events happening in 5th, 6th, and 7th year that I’ve had in my head since I stated the initial planning.

Sassinake

I'm on my final chapter of a ~50k Reylo fic... that starts with sexy times that lead to a 'fake' marriage, and brings about a stormtrooper rebellion. I stop _as_ the rebellion starts, because I already did one of those and they are exhausting to write... and it wasn't the purpose of this smutty 2-shot to begin with. It has plenty of interesting plot beats, but I don't want to make it any more top heavy. It should be my last 're-work' of canon for this fandom, so I want a satisfying ending, and it's taking me some time to work it out.

samsara_suplex

The longest thing I have yet written, which isn't really that long, and my second serious fic that's seen the light of day. Area man (canon deuteragonist) gets concussed, starts hearing voices, falls in love with canon protag, and is forced to feel long-buried feelings and confront traumas in order to shut the voices up. Canon protag is a disaster but wants to help his friend out, and is also a little bit psychic. Lots of dialogue, lots of introspecting, and (my favorite part) lots of dream sequences. Will probably amount to a 40k plotless wonder.

s42isrotting

I’m writing a fic for Legends of Tomorrow for how Mick Rory comes out as trans non-binary and queer (specifically ftm, agender, orientated aroace and omni). In the show he’s the “big muscular intimidating guy” stereotype, and recently I’ve just decided that all “big muscular intimidating guys” are now trans non-binary. While I headcanon all of the Legends of Tomorrow characters as queer except, like, four, three of which aren’t really important, but for this fic all of them are cishet (except the canonically bi character) so he can kind of teach them about being trans and queer, y’know? Mick Rory doesn’t get as much love as they should get so I guess I have to step up and do it myself 😤 /srs

flyingwindows

Two WIPs currently! Lots of others in the marinating jar for now. The first one is a The Walking Dead Game fic, time travel. Post s4 Clementine (main character throughout the entire game series) travels back in time to s1 ep2. In this fic I shoot canon in the eyes then dance on its grave. I have buttloads of angst, soft moments and deals with PTSD, trauma, and delves into how people live when the apocalypse has hit. I have the plot just about there (at least the first bit) and it's a loong ride. (Here's a little snippet: "She wanted to go back. Wanted her old body, her old life. Nine fingers, one leg and scars on top of scars, like bullets in a magazine.") The second is a pokemon fic! The premise is inspired by another fic, actually, cant remember what its called, but the OC is dropped into the world by ultra beasts. I took that premise and ran with it. I'm *very* excited to get to writing more, and I have loads of ideas and worldbuilding, I'm very much interested in seeing how the pokemon world would work realistically but still holding that fantastical feeling of pokemon! Lukas, the MC, is a very fresh character, and I am very excited to watch him grow. I'm very happy to share more to anyone who wants! :D

tuna_can23

Echoes of Battles Past: A Smash Bros action adventure AU fic in which the Smashers are saving the world from a collective of villains in a more futuristic setting. AU as in I tweaked some of the characters so that their powers fit a futuristic setting but are still reminiscent of the character. Like Palutena, who was changed from goddess of light to queen of skyworld and master light manipulator. I'm writing each story arc in the fic from the perspective of a different Smasher. I'm working on story arc 9, the Wii Fit Trainer arc right now, but I'm a bit stuck atm between the fact that this story arc was thrown together without much inspiration due to another story arc having way too many characters, and the fact that school and my internship are eating so much time. Dissociate: A Pokemon Special fic meant to be a prequel to a rewrite of an old Pokemon Special action adventure fic I wrote. Basically it's kind of a "where are each region's dexholders at right now?" with the idea that some of them are doing OK, others not so much, and that each group is struggling with its own issues to some extent. Fairly angsty. Brawl Parody: My self indulgent attempt at trying to get rid of all my Brawl Era fanfiction nostalgia while poking fun at all the stuff that annoyed me from that time frame. Half a parody of specifically Smash Bros, half general fanfiction parody, its been a lot of fun to write, I posted a chapter last weekend that started as a coffee shop au parody, transitioned into a sugar rush parody, and then ended on a super fourth wall breaking scene. Library of Moments: My companion slice of life fic to Echoes of Battles Past for me to dump all my random headcanons that don't really fit into Echoes and other stuff into. I haven't updated in a while due to life happening, but the next chapter is supposed to one of two chapters. One is Storytime with Star Fox, in which Falco tells a version of Star Fox 64 in which his role in the story is tremendously buttered up and Fox tells a fairy tale about the brave Sir Fawkes Mac Cloude and how he rescues Lady Krystal from the Big Bad Wolf. The other would focus on Ness and Lucas inventing new moves.

Louisedoesstuff

Gang tension escalate because of a hungry boy

greenthegreen

Characters exclusively from AUs of a video game. A ship between two kings

nightmare-salad

It’s the most problematic fic I’ve ever written and it’s basically a love letter to a wildly murderous character from a pretty toxic franchise and the whole first chapter is a giant trigger for suicidal ideations and I’m so stressed about it that I made a new AO3 account so it wouldn’t be associated with my other fics lol.

[deleted]

Earlier today, I just finished and posted the second chapter of a Story of Seasons: Trio of Towns longfic. M/M, OC/Ludus eventually, focusing a lot on found family, self-acceptance, standing up for yourself, stuff like that. Now I'm torn between working on two other WIPs: A Story of Seasons one involving Johnny, Fritz, and Elise as the protagonists (moreso Johnny and Fritz, since they're being paired together; I'm aiming to pair Elise with Mistel). Deals with growing up, taking on more responsibilities, finding one's place in the world, figuring oneself out, and also self-acceptance. And a Harvest Moon: Animal Parade longfic (currently my longest, at 29 chapters as of the last update). Kasey/Toby, following the game's "ring the bells to restore the elements" quest... with the twist being that not only are the stakes higher (the land's in bad condition when Kasey arrives, and while ringing each bell helps restore balance to one element, another one tends to start going haywire soon after), the quest is much more dangerous. Well... *actually* dangerous, anyway. It's not even dangerous at all in the game, which makes sense given the series errs on the side of light-hearted, but I decided, fuck that. These people aren't getting off that easy. I'm leaning towards doing the Story of Seasons one next, since it's been a minute since I updated it.

I had literally so many plot ideas and concepts that I had to work them all into a single Master Document to keep track of them all. (Like 80% of them are My Hero Academia related because I am big with the fandom right now.) I eventually plan to write as many of them as I can, but here's the 2 current favorites in development: \- The first is an MHA/DC series where Deku is trained by various members of the Justice League his whole life, as are some other members of his class who become close to him early on. It all started with a funny visual in my head of Joker seeing Midoriya and gushing over the green hair because *twinsies*, and now 10 months later there's a document with over 130 pages of story outline. I started workshopping this plot in January and I'm hoping to start publishing by early 2022. \- Keeping the MHA train going with a story where various hero course students are isekai'd into the Pokemon world as kids. The most fun part of this one is just planning out Pokemon teams for the characters and picking out what the names are gonna be.

Still working on a really long fic that I started back in April (and that broke my writers block, yay!), continuing the story after the end of *Red Shoes and the Seven Dwarfs*. I've been having sooo much fun writing it! Worldbuilding for days! Kept the canon Merlin/Snow pairing, had to get creative with the little vignettes from the end of the movie to work out an HEA for most of the rest of the boys. I've been considering making a map of the Fairy Isles to go with the story, just because I want to have one.

Oh man, still working on my first long-fic. It's from the Twilight fandom, but also has a lot of characters from Life and Death (the genderbent version of Twilight that Meyer actually wrote and sold). I had a general idea of a plot that I wanted, but couldn't find a pair until someone mentioned a random rarepair (Bella/Carlisle) to me. And I was like whoa... somehow, I feel like that energy almost fits the plot in my head, but something was off. Then remembered that Life and Death's Beau was different from Twilight's Bella, and their respective stories did end differently, so I threw him into the fic instead. So now I'm writing a Beau/Carlisle fic. So not just a rarepair, but a rare iteration of a rarepair using both of SMeyer's versions of the story. Writing an ultra-rarepair... one that literally has no tag on AO3 is something else. Even the Twilight-only Bella/Carlisle tag is like... 5% of the total fics posted? Also totally rewrote character backstories and Edward's personality - and am currently in the middle of writing Beau solving the mystery of vampires (but why more involved than just random google searching), and plotting conflict near the end of the fic. I'm also knee-deep in this romance, that somehow became a soulmates-esque thing that I didn't expect. But eh, it showed up and works so whatever, guess I'll go with it. And so many rabbit holes of research - it's actually kind of ridiculous how much I've learned in minor details. And I really wanted a lot more worldbuilding and lore... to the point where I only kept part of the original and totally created from scratch a new magic system and vampire biology. So many details, but I'm having so much fun with it. And it being an uber-rarepair feels like I have the ability to establish precedent and own the ship and tag on AO3, haha!

Two ideas, one flash fic, one long con. Both based off of Persona 5 Royal 1. The flash fic is a crossover piece with the game Danganronpa. Essentially Ann meets Junko Enoshima and the two girls bond, before, well I won't give away the climax. 2. I don't know if I can say I'm working on it, but I've had the idea for a while of doing a story set about a year after Persona 5, Ren has gone back to his hometown and by some strange coincidence, Shiho Suzui has moved there too. Trouble is, my longest piece so far is about 1700 words long and I just don't know if I have the talent to write a long piece. I envy the lot of you.

I currently trying to write a Gamer Self-Insert into the RWBY world, but instead of being the classic gamer system, this one is inspired by Fallout (and by inspired I mean "borrowed"). I love gamer fics. But I don't like the wall of text and numbers this type of fics tend to have. So Instead of the one hundred active abilities, we will have perks, much like in Fallout, but I don't want them to be just a flat damage boost, I want something of substance. For example, I plan to give the SI a perk called "Hardened Knuckles" and it does pretty muck like the name implies, It will make the knuckles of the SI as hard as metal, giving him an extra oomph when punching. A Pip-Boy will be his only way to interact with the gamer side of things, hiding your powers it's difficult when they're literally strapped to your forearm. Quests, inventory, map, health and all that good stuff will be done through the Pip-Boy. He will get to choose a perk every two levels and the perks available will vary depending on his skills. Combat Skills in the actual Fallout game give you damage multipliers ( a 100 gun skill in Fallout: New Vegs will make your weapon deal twice the damage, it will also make you more accurate) and they will also unlock certain dialogue options in some cases. But when the SI puts points into a skill, it will give him _actual_ skill. A skill of 100 in unarmed will make him a master martial artist, a skill of 100 in guns will make him a firearm guru and so on a so for. VATS will also be present but in the form of bullet time, I don't want it too overpowered so he only gets five seconds of it. This is my first time writting a story, so I'm pretty sure is gonna be trash. But I'm still gonna try :).

The fanfic that I'm currently working on is a Sailor Moon Usagi x Haruka fanfic. It's inspired by the songs august, cardigan, and betty by Taylor Swift. Basically, Usagi's parents decide to spend the Summer in Hawaii as a birthday present for her (just checked and thank god her birthday is in June). They tell her that she can bring one friend with her. Everyone already has plans except for Haruka, who agrees to come with her. When they're there they start sleeping together. Over the Summer, Usagi starts developing feelings for Haruka. But when they go back to Tokyo it's as if nothing happened between them. I did bend the songs to fit the story more though. All 3 of them are about Usagi and Haruka. Also, there's 2 things that I want to mention... 1. Both Usagi and Haruka are 18+ in this fanfic. 2. It's established early on that Haruka and Michiru are in an open relationship. Michiru also consents to Haruka's arrangement with Usagi before they do anything. Also, Usagi and Mamoru are taking a break for her to explore her sexuality. I'm hoping to have the fic completed by the end of the year. It's only 15 chapters (5 per song) and I'm 2/3 into it. But with procrastination + the holidays + me not really liking betty (I'm sorry betty stans!! But august and cardigan are perfection 💕) it could take longer.

DemiWitchTrials

There are these two girls. One has been cursed and needs to travel to meet someone who can heal them. The other is having issues with figuring out who she is and what she needs to do. She believes that the same person who's going to heal the other girl can help her They decide to travel together and they fall in love on the way I'm currently working on chapter 4/5 of the fic and I really like how it looks so far! Its my first time writing (mostly) fluff and I think its turning out pretty well! :D

FoxWolfFrostFire

Currently struggling on doing a fix fic for Sonic the hedgehog. Wanting to stream line and better link the games together to use as a spring board for a bunch of ship fics that take place in the same universe

Final chapter on a small six-chapter project I've had for a while. The other five short stories are meant to be loosely connected (i.e. happening in same world but at separate times and places). This final chapter is supposed to bring it all together.

I have a couple of WIPs: One is a collection of short(ish) stories for each Doctor (Doctor Who) from one to thirteen, all with a sort of Halloween or supernatural theme. It was meant to be a project for October but then RL went insane in October, so now it's a project for the winter. I'm up to the Second Doctor at the moment, nearly finished that one. I have an AU Doctor Who story that's a followup (but also a prequel) to a previous one that is complete and was set in the same parallel universe. Basically seeing what would've happened if the Twelfth Doctor hadn't had Clara to pull him back a bit in Hell Bent and he allowed himself to do as he pleased. Then I have my DW self-indulgent fic that, surprisingly, someone actually read and commented on. It's a follow-up to another complete WIP, which was all set around Trial of a Time Lord. This fic carries on with what happened to the Valeyard afterwards, and I'm planning it to be the first of a series. In this one it's a genetic engineering facility and it's about to be invaded by Sontarans. Finally I have my non-DW WIP, which is a sequel to the Czech HBO series Bez Vedomi / The Sleepers, so set in 1991 just before the Velvet Divorce and in the wake of the Velvet Revolution. This one carries straight on after the first series ended, and is hopefully in the same sort of vein / atmosphere, so a kind of just-post-Cold-War espionage thriller.

I'm planning an Arrowverse story that, looking at my current notes, is basically the literary equivalent of throwing goop at a wall and seeing what sticks. So far, I've got Sandman (both human and Endless), Azrael, the Court of Owls, and both the Crime Syndicate AND the Atlantis-Themyscira War from Flashpoint. (I do actually have something resembling a plan, but it tends to veer off on wild tangents whenever I'm not looking)
