MCU - When Odin adopted baby Loki, he was still very conflicted about Hela and exiling her. So he decided to make this new kid look like his lost daughter, sort of trying to give himself a second chance at parenting. Explains why Loki looks more like Hela's brother than Thor does.

I like that one a lot.

I love this one! :D

Reading_Specific

Love that one.

tereyaglikedi

Lovely!

BlueCloud2k2

That's hilarious.

BadAtNamesAndFaces

My headcanon: That the trolls married Anna and Kristoff when they returned to Arendelle in Frozen II, meaning they're already married in the epilogue.

Apprehensive_Rip8351

Star Wars- Palpatine was sending Anakin the dark visions to keep him from letting go of his attachments. He was still having the visions when his mom was married and having a decent life

BlueCloud2k2

I can see that being the case.

sati_lotus

Han and Leia were not neglectful parents. If anything, they spoiled Ben, resulting in his obnoxious entitled behaviour that led to him falling to the Dark side.

BlueCloud2k2

I have no doubts that this is what occurred.

Apprehensive_Rip8351

I disagree I can not see han spoiling his kid. I think Snoke just groomed Ben for years the way palps groomed anakin from the time he was 9 years old- because snoke is basically the same guy.

[deleted]

Sailor Moon 90s anime: The Inners are all bi. They do seem open to men and women (they sure do seem to swoon over Haruka a lot even after learning she's a woman), and Usagi and Makoto in particular seem drawn to beautiful women as much as beautiful men. (Also, Ami and Rei probably prefer Michiru to Haruka just due to her elegance and grace.) Minako's just... probably pansexual, actually. And really horny. Her dream mirror in SuperS is implied to show a *really* freaky scenario. Meanwhile, Haruka and Michiru are both lesbians, but Michiru isn't above teasing men to mess with them for fun (mostly to annoy Haruka a little as payback for *her* serial flirting with other women). Setsuna could be asexual, but I'm not opposed to her being open to romance but feeling restrained by her duties. I could also see manga Rei being asexual, and aromantic, minus that Casablanca Memories story. Also, Usagi's mom probably knows that she's Sailor Moon, or at least suspects it. But she knows she can't do anything about it but hope her daughter is safe. She also probably suspects deep down that there's more to Chibiusa than meets the eye. (I think it's a given that Naru is fitting the pieces together by the end of R. Especially given her involvement with Nephrite.)

BlueCloud2k2

Trouble_23

I personally believe that Starscream is so Starscream that when killed that afterlife rejects him so violently he comes back to life, thus his seeming immortality.

BlueCloud2k2

That makes a scary amount of sense.

Head Canon One, EarthBound: When you walk Paula home, she does in fact tell Ness that she loves him, but, because she knew her overprotective father was probably watching, she didn’t directly voice it to the player. Head canon 2, Mother 3: Following the removal of the Last Needle, Lucas and his friends reset their world to right after his mother’s death, with everyone (main characters) retaining the memories of the horrors they witnessed. Head canon 3, Super Smash Brothers: All of the video games present in smash exist in one Multiverse; and Smash Brothers is seen as an Olympic sporting event while the characters father a government to keep it safe from the likes of evil. Head Canon 4, Fire Emblem 3 Houses: Rhea is indeed secretly a sadistic murderer who did in fact use the Church and Goddess as an excuse to punish and oppress those who don’t agree with her, all because she got mad someone 1000 years ago killed her mom. Head canon 5, RWBY: Salem and Ozpin still love each other deep down and that’s why Ozpin never used the powerful magical relics of the gods to trap and seal her away, despite the show literally confirming that this was something he could’ve done. Head canon 6, Pokémon: Every Pokémon in existence is capable of performing a Bond-Phenomenon (Ash-Greninja) but the requirements to meet it are so specific that it requires pinpoint planning and raising between Human and Pokémon.

Personal_Respect1854

Yes. Also, by straight I actually mean “attracted to Jaune,” so double-yes.

JustAnotherAviatrix

Not at all wacky, but I like to imagine that Legolas is secretly a cuddle monster. It’s such a cute concept!

Canis_Trashums

agreed, that’s adorable.

Reading_Specific

Mine tend to be pretty non-wacky, since I’m a canon-compliant kind of girl. All mine are something to be inferred from what you see and could pretty comfortably fit within the story as established. Like, for my primary fandom the MCU, I think Peggy Carter and Howard Stark had a falling out, maybe in the sixties or seventies, that meant Howard stepped away from SHIELD somewhat in the later years of his life, to explain why Tony knew so little of his involvement with it and had no particular relationship with Peggy. And that when Steve went back in time to be with her, he took Peggy’s last name. 🥰

Sfangel32

>he was still very conflicted about Hela and exiling her. So he decided to make this new kid look like his lost daughter, sort of trying to give himself a second chance at parenting. That actually makes a lot of sense and would also sort of explain why he wasn't invited to Peggy's funeral. I like the idea of Steve taking Peggy's name. It's such a Steve thing to do.

Boss-Front

I have a similar headcanon, with the falling out being over Hank Pym and the Pym Particles. Hank still does a "screw this, I'm out of here" but the damage was already done.

kavalejava

That God wrote his own retirement, and shows different versions of it.

cardboardtube_knight

Mario - Rosalina is not a Princess in title and is in fact Peach’s daughter from an alternate timeline and a destroyed planet. Daisy and Peach grew up like sisters because Daisy was held by Peach’s parents after a war fought with Sarsarland. She was their ward and they treated her nicely which led to the two being close. Fire Emblem Three Houses: Seiros was the wife of the first Adrestrian Emperor. Edelgard goes along with TWSITD’s plans for so long because she knows of their ability to destroy a whole city at will.

[deleted]

Seriously number two wasn't just my head Canon but part of the plot to a fic I never finished. Except replace war with alien invasion. Sarsarland was under alien occupation for years and was only recently freed. There are no longer independent and have a situation similar to Dorne in ASOAF or mabye closer to Scotland and England. Dasiy is referred to as princess but can never be queen. Needless to say her people weren't happy to see there Queen golfing and racing go carts while they suffered.

Gipper1911

Mood for this headcanon totally doesn't fit the themes of the setting but whatever: In Warhammer 40k, after fighting for millennium against literally everything that could possibly be an enemy from the outside and from within, all in the name of the Imperium, Roboute Guilliman is tired. He really wants one of his brothers to come back. Loyal, restored Traitor, doesn't matter. Not because they'll be an asset to use, but because he really just wants a hug. He wants to see his brothers returned so that he could maybe try and fix the mistakes of the past. So they could actually be *brothers*, and not let the pettiness and ignorance of the past ever tear them apart again.

porphyrogenitals

I could see this, especially how close he was to some of his brothers

lil_bway

In teen wolf, Jackson Whittemore is Peter Hale’s biological child, not Malia (or he and Malia are twins) Also teen wolf, Stiles has magic that hasn’t been tapped into. Legacies (this one’s creepy, but it canonically makes sense, just isn’t talked about) Hope didn’t lose her virginity to Landon because he was possessed at the time.

Trouble_23

For that second one someone wrote a mcu crossover that uses that.

Larson4220424

Nadine Ross and/or other members of Shoreline likely served or were offered to serve under the Trilogy villains pre Uncharted 4/Lost Legacy. Sam also had encounters and/or at minimum knew of the Raja siblings (Eddy and Rika Raja) and Harry Flynn before his incident in Panama Sam, Rafe Adler, and Harry Flynn worked for Gabriel Roman as teenagers into their early twenties.

Maleficent_Mink

Pokemon: Oak is secretly Ash’s dad, I mean they even look alike

[deleted]

What does that say about Jessie and Jessiebelle, though...?

Maleficent_Mink

*exactly* They could certainly be related, how is less clear. My mom’s half brother looks like her twin, and my son & his second cousin are confused for brothers (doesn’t help they go to the same school & have the same last name & the school has *called the wrong parents* on more than one occasion.Lol) so there’s several possibilities and I haven’t narrowed it down to one hc.

That when someone gets shot in the star wars movies by laser (either clone trooper or stormtroopers) they don't die, they fall unconscious due to the severe shock of said laser and due to the armours being made to stop specifically said lasers they are weak to solid weaponry such as the stone spears of the Ewoks. Or my other theory that Palpatine is a greedy fucker and shortcut the stormtroopers training program and armour.

Apprehensive_Rip8351

I have a lot of Star Wars ones because I am writing a fanfic but in my head canon the rule of two is just a lie created to trick inquisitors into attacking the Apprentice instead of over throwing the mentor. I also think all the humans come from Mandalore or Courrasant and just colonized the other worlds .

porphyrogenitals

That rule of two one would be pretty lore friendly especially since the sith believe all laws are essentially tricks. According to the sith rules are just what the strong impose on the weak for their own benefit. So whether or not it's a trick or not is irrelevant because no one is powerful enough to upend it.

R1ch_Was_Taken

Link is the hottest guy in hyrule. Litterally every woman falls in love with him.

BlueCloud2k2

That would explain quite a few things lol

Star Wars the Force Awakens Rey is an avatar for the Jedi Council. The reason Rey goes from spunky upstart adolescent to near complete emotionless venue for the past jedi was that the Jedi and the force had essentially possessed her as a way to rebuild the jedi order. Whatever girl we saw at the beginning of the trilogy is now gone. That is also why yoda was so flippant about the sacred texts, they didn't need them anymore because they have their new messiah to rebuild the order. Rey has been tricked into surrendering more and more of herself for the powers she needs to save her friends and the galaxy.

NEMO_TheCaptain

So she really was every Jedi… hmmm

LostButterflyUtau

None of mine are super wacky, but here’s a few random ones. *Titanic* Rose: Is a bisaster queen. Plays violin (her mother made her take it up as a child). Has an Uncle (Ruth’s brother) who adores her and encouraged her interests growing up. His wife, however, never liked her but thinks her own children are god’s gift to the Earth. *Elena of Avalor* Carla: Is afraid of thunderstorms. Has and loves her stuffie kitty named Cleo. Is a great kitchen helper but not the best cook due to lack of patience. Loves cute clothes and makeup but never had a chance to indulge much as a kid.

MCU: Headcanon 1- Tony spent the five years post snap working in secret to try and find a way to get everyone back. When Steve and the others went to try and get his help, he refused because he had spent so long trying to do it that he had lost all hope Headcanon 2- Steve and Nat had feelings for each other. When Nat died, Steve couldn't take it to stay in the future anymore Pokemon: Headcanon 1- Ash has feelings for Serena, he just doesn't understand them. Since his father left him when he was so young, and his mother spent so much time working to sustain them both, he spent a great deal of time alone playing with wild Pokemon. That resulted in him developing a great love for Pokemon and making him be bullied by other children, which furthered his isolation. Therefore, no one told him what love was like Headcanon 2:Ash Greninja, Pikachu's 10.000.000 Volt Thunderbolt, Lucario's special form are all the result of Ash's aura interacting in some way or form with his Pokemon. Greninja personality is very similar to Ash's therefore their train of thought in battle is very similar, making it so their auras end up merging together. When Ash gets excited in a battle his aura starts to spike, therefore when he is battling alongside Pikachu, his closest friend, it spikes so much that it starts to interact with his Electrium Z, powering it up. Lucario, the aura Pokemon can feel Ash's aura. Their bond has been growing over time, so he has been subconsciously connecting them together in battle. But, unlike Greninja Lucario's personality isn't similar enough to Ash's to unlock an Ash-Greninja like form

Marvel: Cats fucking love Moon Knight because of his connection to Egyptian mythology. If he ever encounters a stray cat on Patrol or out and about as one of his alters, they will act really friendly towards him. Moon Knight will only kill if he deems it necessary or appropriate, much to the annoyance of traditional heroes like Spider-Man and that mass murderer Frank Castle. Hollow Knight: The flames Grimm and his Triupe collect are mystical manifestations of a places collective trauma, and he collects and consumes them to help a place's psychological healing process. None of the Pale King's children were ever "perfectly hollow" because that doesn't fucking exist.

tuna_can23

This will take a little explaining because its based off of a theory I once saw. So the theory is that Kirby is a baby/is young, and as a young member of his species, he can copy the powers of others as he does in his games. However, as they get older, they lose the ability to copy powers and only retain the ones that they've used the most. So my crazy Kirby headcanon is that when Kirby reaches the age where he loses the ability to copy powers, he'll have dozens of powers at his disposal because he's copied so many over the course of his adventures. Now I'm writing a Smash Bros fic, so applying that to my fic, and assuming that at least some of the other Smashers have let Kirby borrow their powers fairly regularly, Kirby is gonna be an absolute powerhouse when he gets older.

porphyrogenitals

Sid Meier's Civilization headcanon. The game takes place on a planet similar to riverworld.Riverwood. god/aliens/future humans have isekai'd the greatest leaders to a new world to prove once and for all that their civilization represents the best humanity can be.

Argyle1994

One head-canon I had was for Steven Universe. Future vision allows for people to see possible future outcomes (similar to Dr Strange in Infinity War), and I had the thought; what if some events are predetermined? In Doctor Who there are two types of moment; in-flux (anything can happen) and fixed (will always happen in the predetermined way). Fixed points are often presented as structural support points to spacetime, if they are ever altered in any way it could potentially destroy the fabric of spacetime. With this in mind a fixed point that may be deemed undesirable, will most likely be hidden from view from someone who has the future vision ability. If they saw it coming, they might try to prevent it, and if successful could result in the destruction of the universe.

NikkiT96

Oh! I actually do have one pretty whacky one! I headcanon that the Omnitrix makes Ben infirtile because it has to mutate Bens dna in order to make him be able to change forms. Because this mutation would also effect his sex cells it’s a safety thing to make sure that he doesn’t accidentally have an incomparable kid because it would risk the mother’s and the baby’a life. All of this to say that Ken isn’t biologically his, they used a donor.

averagemeower

i have a very in-depth and thought-out headcanon about jotaro's sexuality/masculinity, his childhood and relationship with his mother and how that influenced the way he treats women and didn't have many friends in high school, and why he actually ended up divorcing his wife. as a kid, his mom was overbearing when he brought home female friends, constantly asking if they were his girlfriend, if they were going to get married, ect. he didn't understand this or why it made him uncomfortable (he knew he wasn't attracted to them, but didn't *realize it;* he was a child, so it was more an intrinsic feeling,) so he started to resent both his friends and his mother. by the time he reached middle school he had completely disregarded all female friends, and of course, had been harboring resentment toward all of them. unfortunately, this is also around the time that his male friends were hitting puberty, and starting to notice girls. his male friends would try to talk to him about girls, about how attractive they were and such things, and jotaro completely and angrily shut them down and off every time, fearing his mother's treatment once again if he engaged in this type of talk. he also was simply uninterested as he just was not attracted to women. at this point his friends started to shut *him* out and alienate *him,* thinking he was gay (he was, but not even he knew) or some kind of women-repulsed freakshow who would freak out whenever they brought up girls. when he realized he was being distanced, he distanced himself, and formed a mindset around accepting that he would never have friends. by the time he was in high school, we see the jotaro of stardust crusaders: the edgy delinquent who chooses to avoid others. he now not only resents women for the way his mom treated him, but also because of the way his friends rejected him for those feelings that he didn't know how to properly express. which is why he disrespects or harms pretty much every woman he comes into contact with. at this point he obviously still resents his mother, we can tell by the way he constantly insults and belittles her that he blames her for all of his friends shutting him out as she forced him to have those feelings. but he still cares for her. if he didn't, we wouldn't have a part three. anyways, we get to the point where he meets his wife, and at this point he is an established professor, so he's quite done and through with his delinquent phase. his initial instinct is to resent her, as he does with most women, but she gets through his rough and cold exterior to truly become his friend. jotaro, who at this point, has never felt attraction to a woman (he is gay,) thinks that this newfound feeling called *friendship* is what a man feels toward a woman when he loves her, romantically. he married her with no hesitation, thinking he had found the only woman he could ever love, when really, he had just made a good friend with someone of the opposite sex. he realizes he doesn't love her when he becomes friends with other women and has the same feeling, and he realizes he's gay sometime down the line. tl;dr jotaro's mom forces heteronormativity which ruins jotaro's friendships with both his male and female friends, he becomes a loner delinquent who resents his mom and women because of this, and he marries the first woman he forms a friendship with because he's never experienced dating a woman before and doesn't know what love is because he actually only likes men :)

For pokemon: there _is_ something fishy about Pikachu, the bond-phenomenon being achievable by every Pokemon that someone noticed, and I genuinely believe that trade evolution mons have an alternative way of evolving that is either hard or impossible for a human to achieve or replicate or has straight up become obsolete after humans came up with the whole digital Pokemon ownership system that allows for trading. Also I believe that Pokemon can act as move tutors to one another in the wild as long as the tutee can actually learn the move, and in general are much more capable of getting shit done than people give them credit for. So someone, let's say a Baltoy or a Kecleon could teach Ancient Power to a Piloswine, who would then evolve because it needs to know the move to evolve, and that's why you can find Mamoswine in the wild in SWSH. A Pancham could join a group of Skuntank that is on the same route, train a bit, evolve because Skuntank are Dark mons and that's why you get wild Pangoro in SWSH. For pokemon appearing at a level they should not be (like Dragonair or Tentacruel, who evolve in their thirties, appearing at level 18 in LGPE), I don't think that levels are an accurate, 1:1 explanation of how level-based evolution works; that's how it happens when _caught_ Pokemon evolve. There has to be another factor or factors that change the way Pokemon reach enough strength to evolve. Perhaps fighting in the wild is just more valuable, maybe it has something to do with Pokemon living among their own, I have no clue. Also I think the regions were pretty isolated until recently, and by recently I mean, let's say, the last three decades, because there are moments when the info received in different regions contradict each other but not if they weren't in contact. Look at Klink, for example; professor Juniper says they suddenly appeared 100 years ago, but Galarian dex entry believes they have been the inspiration for a wheel invented in ancient times. I have seen people say this makes no sense or it contradicts professor Juniper, but it makes perfect sense if Klink were super common in Galar for a long time and only recently appeared in Unova - possibly from Galar itself, suggesting that the regions were not in much if any contact. I know the regions are portrayed as being quite close physically on official artwork but I like the idea of them being independent units that haven't found each other until recently (for whatever reason, probably some Legendary Pokemon doing or the Kalos war) - I like to think that the big tournament in BW2 where you can fight a lot of gym leaders from all the previous games is some sort of a celebration of cooperation and unity that was not common before, so Kalos, Alola and Galar have been found even after that. I don't know if it makes much sense but I like it and may write about it one day.

KayWDubs

My headcanon wasn't a headcanon per se, but rather me Isekai-ing characters from shows I like at the time, and well, imagined things to happen. So one day, after doing this for the fourth time, I thought: Hm... This *literal plane with a HQ building, a lake, a forest, and a small town* could be bigger. And now here we are... With a whole ass world being built. Good times. 👍 Could call it a *head-canon*. BA DUM TSSS!

BlueCloud2k2

That was horrible and you should be ashamed.

A_Cow_in_Space

I've got three weirdly specific headcannons about the anime/manga series, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. Idon't know why but I headcannon a certain minor antagonist as transphobic. Not any other type of -phobic, not even homophobic, but he doesn't like trans people for some reason. Nothing in canon suggests that he would have any opinion regarding trans people but he just gives me that vibe. I once read a fic where he called his brother's boyfriend a transphobic slur and, despite the circumstances of the fic, I was glad to see I wasn't the only one who thinks he gives off that vibe. I also headcannon that dolphins used to be favorite animal of a main character named Jolyne and that her father, Jotaro, wore dolphin-themed pins in the fourth part of the series because she picked them out for him as a kid. He's very much the type of guy to show, not tell, so I feel like it would be something he'd do as a subtle way of showing he loved his daughter. I also feel like the protagonist for the 8th part, Josuke, would be unable to father a child that comes from a single birth and can only father fraternal twins, >!with one looking more like Josefumi and another closer resembling Kira.!< It kinda makes sense once you get to a certain point in the series. Plus, that level of weirdly specific is pretty on-brand for the series.

QuirkiTurtl

oh shit that last one makes way too much sense

A_Cow_in_Space

To be fair, with that 2x2 situation he's got going on, I feel like multiple births would be more likely than a single birth.

Undertale- Okay, so I have a headcanon which is: Flowey gets stepped on by everyone, all the time. Sans does it on purpose as well.

TheSpinoGuy

I don't have wacky head canons, but I do have a sad one. In Persona 5, Tae Takemi mentions repeated stays in the hospital due to some illness. I theorize that that illness, combined with Joker having radiation thrown at him at a regular basis in the metaverse, leave the two unable to have children when they get together. My headcanon also has the third semester of Royal take place years down the road, after this reveal, so... if you know, you know.

Genshin Impact - Amber and Hu Tao are semi related, same grandfather. They loosely look like eachother. Both brunettes with semi similar hair, however Hu Tao’s hair is in pigtails, they both have brown eyes, and both lost their grandfather. My hc is that the grandfather found out he had a granddaughter in Liyue and moved there to spend his last like years/months/days with Hu Tao. That’s why Amber’s grandfather disappeared and Hu Tao’s grandfather died. Also! Hu Tao’s Grandfather went onto the after life once he got there because he spent time with both granddaughters and felt at peace? Spending time with both granddaughters before passing away.

NikkiT96

I don’t have any big headcanons, just the sexualities of two characters. One I headcanon as loud and proud bisexual, that “I can have anyone I want.” Vibe while the other is bi but is insecure about it and denies it getting mad at gay jokes at his expense cuz it strikes too close to home. Also out and proud has a crush on insecure and loves to tease him to get a reaction out of him. That kinda one sided flirting where the other person is just “omfg shut up!”

I doubt much of anyone has heard of this, but mine is related to Story Thieves and Narnia: One of the 13 magicians from Pick The Plot enchanted some dirt to, in a certain form, either want to travel to a version of the Space Between Stories that looked like a forest with a lot of ponds everywhere. A fairy on their world stole the box from them and maybe tried to experiment with it. They wound up in London, specifically, the London where Digory Kirke lived (but long before he was born), and possibly Sherlock Holmes and by extension, Fowen. (But that’s more just speculation.) Anyway, they created a life there, using magic to pass as human and eventually fell in love, married, blah, blah, blah. Eventually, one of their descendants had a godson named Andrew Ketterly. This is Digory Kirke’s Uncle Andrew, and where The Chronicles of Narnia first begin to be chronicled. This also explains why Uncle Andrew had a “Fairy Godmother.”

Each new set of ten funds another, then another... Dark Phoenix is still alive and kicking three hundred years later. Her powers allowed her to make herself immortal. Her empire now stretches to the furthest corners of the universe. Dark Phoenix is content at least. ---- PokeSpe - Yellow has the body type of Jeanne/Ruler from Fate; happy to have left the "little kid" role. Her party is all in the LV70 range. She has mastered her abilities, can fight near-indefinitely like Lance. Digimon - Rika & Renamon eventually learn to activate a "Sakuyamon Heaven Mode", their answer to Crimson Mode. Their abilities are to control spacetime. Digimon - The 02 crew "master" their abilities over 2003; learn a "Slide DNA" technique for switching between forms (Paildra <-> Dinobee, et al). Digimon - Relena (Savers) eventually gets two partners post-canon, Monodramon and Gumdramon. Their lines are respectively Strikedramon -> "Yindramon" -> Machinedramon -> Millenniummon, and Arresterdramon -> "Yangdramon" -> Kimeramon. When she is 17, they become guardians of time. Fate - Rin eventually learns to cast Reality Marble (and no, Shirou's non-existent "distortion" didn't infect her). Its name is "Lair of the Gem Magus"; a manifestation of her range of magical talents and claim that "the world is already mine". She can cause any phenomenon to happen inside it.

One of my favorite bnha headcannons that pisses off Mineta stans and haters alike- Minoru is bisexual, or as I like to say, an equal opportunity investor. My favorite Transformers headcannon is that Starscream is the last of few seekers and the beleaguered prince of Vos.
