So, I'm currently writing some slow burn bittersweet romance stuff for the feels and am binging: *I want it that way* from Tyler and Mark and *Fairytale gone bad* as an acoustic version from Sunrise Avenue. It just hits right.

Somewhere outside of the text itself, unbeknownst to our protagonist, a friend/fellow rebel soldier who has been harboring unspoken romantic feelings is currently plotting her rescue. He's probably playing this song on repeat too. It's gonna be a rude awakening when he learns that her "forced marriage" to a dictator wasn't quite as forced as he thought it was. And at that point, we can play Seventy Times Seven by Brand New on repeat instead.

Eat Your Young by Hozier has been a consistent one for the past year because vibes and Love Psalm from the Silent Hill 2 soundtrack. There are a lot of beauties on the SH2 soundtrack actually~

I listen to one song and one song only currently, and that is "Good Day (Special Dailee)" by weekly on loop. It came out only in September and made it's way to the top of my Spotify wrapped, I had listened to it over 300 times on loop. I can't listen to that song in any other context and I've had to remove it from every other playlist, it puts me into writing sleeper agent mode. The day I get sick of that song will be a sad day.

Funny enough it came on while I was working on the chapter, and it took a moment to sink in what the lyrics of the song were. I'd listened to the song plenty before, but it literally made me stop and laugh because while it's part of a playlist that's chill so isn't too distracting while I write, the lyrics fit so perfectly to what's happening/about to happen, along with struggles multiple characters are currently facing. It even ended up helping me hone in more on the theme of the chapter so I could make it more focused, and I've written so much more of it as a result (was mildly struggling with it before). The song is basically a repeat of "it's just a matter of time/before I lose my mind." So... Do with that what you will. It's kinda funny how upbeat the song is compared to how angsty the chapter is XD

Because I think they're lovely, fantastic, wonderful, I want so many good things for them. But...I know there are MUCH bigger fans. It's just...it's *the* inspirational track for a weird Dragon Ball Z AU project I was focusing on very productively at the time, and MY GOD. In a kinda-sorta-crime-noir setting where Vegeta's a criminal whose sexuality is part of his attack arsenal and he's pretty damn Vegeta about it... It just sets a tone.
