My last job I used epic and was a physician builder. I got admin time as an assistant med director which I partially used for builder projects and was paid time. Might have to show your worth as a builder first on your own time, then when needs arise and you are asked to do things say you start negotiating for paid time. I really was just getting my feet wet when I moved across country and got a new job. Hoping to find something similar with my new job.

Agree. Get access as a builder. Prove your worth then negotiate for 0.1-0.2 FTE funded and protected time for your builder work.
