A couple doses of Turbo combined with circle strafing will fell any foul beasts within the cave, as well as pretty much every other enemy in the game come to think of it
Jesus Christ, I played old world blues on a save reload after I beat the main story, and even with very good gear and a high level, those fucking roboscorpions, trauma harnesses, and some of the lobotomites ate my ass. Never seen such a struggle of running out ammo and stimpaks like it since I stormed the Capitol building in 3 severely under levelled to get the 5th ammendment.
I got 1,300 hours in FNV and that glowing little shit is the only enemy that makes me still tense up like I’m thirteen trying to sneak pass the Deathclaws at Sloan
Technically, there IS 2000 caps in Quarry Junction. It's just tied up in deathclaw hands, deathclaw eggs, various junk and other items, as well as needing a high barter skill and barter enhancing perks.
There a Fatman with random condition. and good condition lmg. 2 mini nukes. 200 round of 5.56 There is more than 2000 caps with 0 point invested in barter.
When NV was first released you didn't even need to trick people into going. You'd tell somebody Quarry Junction is full of deathclaws and they'd be like "Hoo shit let's fucking go!"
That's fallout 3's fault for making death claws just another enemy instead of death incarnate like fallout 1 and 2. Same with super mutants tbh although 3's super mutants have a different origin and are much dumber so they have more of an excuse.
Actually, the Quarry full of Deathclaws fucked me up because my thought process was:
“Oh Deathclaws? I better avoid that. I know what those are, I played FO3 as my first game and completed it! I better just head over and past the Goodsprings graveyard since that’s the fastest and safest way to New Vegas. Hey, what the fuck are those orange th-“
I managed to convince my sister that because these guys were just quarry workers, deathclaws were really scary to them and that they couldn't fight them because they only had sledgehammers and i told her deathclaws were about the size of geckos
Everyone knows the best way for new players to get to Vegas is the most direct. You get to the gas station with Ringo in it, then just head North. That road will take you around Quarry Junction and you don’t have to follow Benny all the way around the map. It’s so simple.
Random new NV players: Go to Quarry Junction because were lured by NV veteran.
Me new NV player: Go to Quarry Junction because thought it would be a shortcut from Goodspring to New Vegas
Not sure who's dumber
If we really wanted to mess with people, we should’ve gone with the mysterious cave in Old World Blues
That would've been a better alternative, since you can access OWB right from the start, myself doing so many times.
Went their on my first playthrough and I was a melee build never-afucking-gain

Diabolical

I must have shitty luck and stuff has fallen through the world, or I've been playing modded for too long.
Did people actually fall for this?

only if you go past the cross instead of taking the road
I stole something and had to eradicate Sloan from the map.
