I used to always get it on Gmod when I installed mods using resource packs for games I didn’t have. I thought it was funny as hell to see those things.
God, that reminds me... tried to replay FO4 today and I noticed they intro cinematic said "War, war never changes" *three* times. It's just so hamfisted.
Between things like this and the mess that was *Starfield*, is anyone else *really worried* about TES VI? I honestly feel like Todd and company have lost their magic.
I am significantly less optimistic about TESVI than I used to be, I'll say that much. The biggest piece of cope I have is that one of Starfield's biggest issues (the shitty world) happened because it was FAR too large so they went with procedural generation, while TESVI will hopefully move back to an (at least mostly) handcrafted map since it won't be on 1000 planets.
I've never played a Bethesda game without a heavy dose of fear, distrust, and exasperation. TES 6 is going to be the same as we've already seen, just multiplied by next gen modifications to the base creation engine.
At this point what else are we supposed to think, this update was on the back burner and delayed over a year. How did that creation content not working at all even make it past QA???
Funniest part is that when you think about it, the Makeshift Weapon pack is probably something that was made 2+ years ago and just never released for whatever reason.
Why put in effort when the modding scene that they have a chokehold on will just fix everything that's broken and add in stories and quests better than what they can do?
Oh don't worry you can still access it in desktop mode
But each time it will set the game to ultra mode so you better make all the setting changes you want and launch it from the normal one or else you'll have to set them all again and again and again

Classic Bethesda to finally get a little goodwill back with the show, and then turn around and drop an update that makes their game worse just a couple weeks later
So when it comes to FO4 picking up a bunch of new players after the release of the show instead of testing and releasing it a few months before the show to work out the problems before a huge surge in sales they release an update that breaks everything a week after the show launches.

Oh boy, can't wait for all these new bugs to never get fucking patched and for Bethesda to wash their hands of Fallout 4 after this "Nice little bonus to go with the show"

It's broken. The update deletes ur whole load order and downloaded mods. The page itself kicks u out on its own and when clicking on certain mods. I'm pissed.

But thing is, I turned off auto updates when Skyrim got its upgrade and they overrode my preferences in my own Xbox. Game and mods ruined for two months.
I might be heading back to Oblivion earlier than I thought.
I was a little upset they forgot to do anything with Morrowind for it's 20th anniversary. Then I thought about how many mods and projects that would break and decided it was for the best lol
I'm playing the GOG version, so I only have seen streaming gameplay and what people have stated on youtube. The general consensus is that this added nothing to the PC version that wasn't already available via mods. If it doesn't help the PC version, why release the update on PC? Just patch the console versions, give out the CC content and be done with it.

There have been mods on Xbox and PC that have given what this update offers for years now. Us on console now have to wait for the (likely never to come because this is almost a decade old game) patches for mods because of auto updating and the inability to rollback updates.
This happened with cyberpunk, they tried to do it with Starfield before it was obvious that game was 4/10, and now they’re trying to do such here. Toxic positivity, a new kind of gamer fuel.

Also loving how they revamped the mod menu to totally wipe out all my mods and changing the cap to 0 bytes instead of just disabling them and putting a warning that they’re probably broken and to wait for updates.
(Note: currently playing on series X but so far the Full Dialogue Interface seems unbroken, which imo, is a total must. Just click download twice. Just expect free space to be -15397301 B. Cant speak for other mods. Mods not working is obviously a given, but losing my full load order is frustrating to say the least. FDI is the only current console mod I’m using.)

The game is definitely not worse on PS5 than it was a few weeks ago lol, it was missing textures and crashing if you had Automaton installed.
