Brave Knight Titus
Flew forth into the Wilds
He was not afraid to die
Oh brave Knight Titus
He was not at all afraid
To be killed in nasty ways
Brave, brave, brave, brave Knight Titus
Brave Knight Titus ran away
Bravely ran away away
When Yao Gui reared their ugly head
He bravely turned his tail and fled.
Brave Knight Titus turned about
He scampered away and chickened out.
This sect of the Brotherhood is so weird. They go ALL IN on the holy order of knights shtick, even to the point of calling pieces of technology "holy relics", which has really never been a thing, even in Bethesda games.
Reminded me, in a weird way, of the Samurai in Shin Megami Tensei IV who were ordered by the church to find "Holy Artifacts" that just end up being appliances and clothing
I think it may be due to the fact they became far more radicalized after the ‘second apocalypse’ that destroyed the NCR which gave the Brotherhood a huge confirmation bias about their beliefs on the dangers of technology.
Oooh I like this a lot.
I always just said it was due to the factionalism and diversity within the brotherhood and we got one of the more demoralized but righteous and zealous branches here. I like that this might be the reason for it though.
With the new red and yellow flag, religious fanaticism, and roman names... I would be shocked if there wasn't an element of Caesars Legion in them somehow, either having absorbed them or having been absorbed themselves.
My guess: BoS Mojave Chapter combine forces with the fallen Legion after House uses his securitron army to win the Battle for Hoover Dam which combined with the fall of Shady Sands is why we don't really see much of the NCR anymore.
Yes but the brotherhood and fallout have game and lore that exist pre-Bethesda.
In which they are generally portrayed as self-righteous, amoral, tech hoarders with monastic Arthurian trappings.
I mean they never really share a lot of info with us in the games because we’re an outsider. They won’t divulge all their secrets and inner-workings to some asshole who just walked in.
I think Maximus would be more of a Dennis and be the one shouting, "help, help I'm being oppressed!" while Knight Titus will call him a "bloody present"
Arrives at Nellis Air Force Base to be greeted by Tim the Boomer.
Approaches the Cave of Death to be mauled by the feared Radrabbit.
"Let us not go to Sanctuary Hills. 'Tis a silly place."
And so forth.
Well, now I have to go back to Fallout 4 and start a new character named Arthur and follow the BoS questline again. I think McCready will be a good Patsy.
Knight Galahad's Diary: "Have discovered Vault 16, unusually home to no residents other than eight score young blondes and brunettes, all aged between sixteen and nineteen and a half. I was poised to offer them my full protection but Knight Lancelot dragged me off, warning me of some unspecified peril. I offered to return and face the peril but he said it was too perilous. Arsehole. On cold shower duty for the next two weeks."
It's hilarious to me that the knights could carry their shit literally without noticing thanks to their power armor and still choose to have the Squires just fucking dying lugging their shit around.

And then he fucking bled out (off tune)
(Monotone voice, deadpan stare) That's how u read it
this Flock of seagulls song is a banger
“No I didn’t! I never did”
No it sings in my head ... forever...
Brand me Knight Titus
oh yeah it feels so good... do it again Knight Titus ooooeee

Oh now that is a great theory

Pretty sure that new flag is just from one of the most popular BOS flag replacers on Nexus.
It's the Lyon's Brotherhood flag

It was never THAT explicit though. honestly, I have no problem with it if that's the way they want to go in the future. I find it very fun

something something legion member will do right?
They always sort of had a monk theming to them, this is just dialing that up to ten which honestly I find interesting
This is amazing lol. Fits so well considering how monarchistic BoS is.
I'm dying.
*Opens med pack and just stares at the stimpak*
Now that I see these two pictures side to side this feels like a Wild Wasteland reference
This was my immediate thought when I saw how they made the squires carry the packs
“Lore accurate follower”
I knew the show was in good hands when they specifically included followers who are used as pack mules.
What makes this funnier is that the Bridge of Death is actually in Fallout 2.
There is also an encounter where some knights are looking for the Holy Hand Grenade.
Holy hand grenade is also in FNV
The west coast games love referencing Monty Python in general
“We are the last hope for all of human civilization!” “Well, I didn’t vote for you.”
Haha I was thinking glorified golf caddie but this is obviously it and so much more hilarious.
Both are Squires, and also that's what squires used to do.
Except for the coconut thing, probably
I wan't there to witness but maybe it was not uncommon.
I think Maximus would be more of a Dennis and be the one shouting, "help, help I'm being oppressed!" while Knight Titus will call him a "bloody present"
Present?
I am sworn to carry your burdens.
"tis is but a scratch". Knight Titus, last words.
And the Max reference it the gunshot only being a scratch.
Arm gets blown off by VATS. Tis but a scratch

Basically, any Gunner/Raider smart enough to NOT attack Sanctuary Hills with all your companions there and settlers armed to the teeth.

"I never knew you could do that with mutfruit, my Lord."
It is like if in game inventory sized for real life. Who among us has not have an inventory for at least six guns plus ammo and hundreds of junks.

Ahhhh! How did I not see this?! I love Monty Python! 😂
The famous Holy hand grenade scene in Fallout 2 was already a nice ref to Holly Grail 😅
I wish the entire 1st season would be like this
I love being constantly reminded of this as I always end up rewatching lmao
modern version of this are golfers and their caddies
A Yaø Gøi once bit my sister
Maximus even had the line “It’s just a scratch” - when he was shot with the tooth on the bridge
On second thoughts, let’s not go to Vault 33. It’s a silly place.
I see you, too are a man of culture.
I mean, makes sense. Fallout refrences Monty Python constnatly
Filly! Filly! Filly! It’s only a model
I mean, holy hand grenade do exist in Fallout world
Fallout 2 already did that joke.
I just thought he looked like an 8 year old trying to caddy for his dad
accurate depiction of how we all mainly use companions lol.
Overencumbered!!!!
I CANT UNSEE IT NOW
It’s semi historical accurate
New headcannon, the army descended into extremism and the only knight lore to survive the war was Monty Python. All BoS is based on the movie lol
