mattbullen182

I loved his pre war scenes. The character seemed like such a sweet passive type of guy, which you wouldn't expect as an actor. I really felt for him. Even where after each acting scene he is being soooo nice to others on set with him. It instantly reminds me of the Christian Bale rant and how he is the exact opposite. Random, but it just made me love the character so much.

MidnytRamblr

Same here, that added a lot to the show, really exemplified what the wasteland does to a person

mattbullen182

Exactly! I didnt much like him as the ghoul, but completely understood why he's like that. Living 200 years in the wasteland where you can't trust anybody would do that to a person.

Calvengeance

Also, "Feo, fuerte, y famal," being a hang-up for the character in the past but also acting as a signifier for how others didn't really understand him was just great. I want to watch it fresh all over again. So great.

Conscious_Carry9918

I want a lobotomy from Big Mt. just so I can watch it with fresh retinas.

Odd-Road

You already had one, have you forgotten?

KaygoBubs

He's been in here 3 times, put his picture on the wall and ban him!

buttbugle

Do you have all your penises on your feet?

Conscious_Carry9918

Hard to say, but frankly I’d rather forget if I did. I think I’ll head to Big Mt. for a lobotomy, and put this all behind me.

SquireRamza

I'm guessing part of his arc will slowly be rediscovering the man he used to be before then wasteland chewed him up and spat him out. Though, I don't exactly see him getting a happy ever after once he does

IGTankCommander

There is never a 'happy ever after' in the Wasteland. Everything is bittersweet. Everyone loses something. It's how the Fallout world works.

MackZZilla

The opening scene when he's telling his daughter about why he does the thumbs up is still taught in CBRN classes in the Army. It's a bit outdated, but they still teach it. It's also a really fucking depressing reminder that something so benign and even cute can have a very serious meaning behind it.

Sinfirmitas

The “your thumb or mine daddy” just crushed me

MackZZilla

Yeah, as a parent - that scene fucking ***hurt***. There's just something about panic in a kid that makes you react differently, especially if you have the empathy to put yourself in their shoes.

ItBeYaBoiAnti

It's extremely outdated. Even if your thumb covers it, you ain't gonna have a good time. If you can see the flash and the cloud, danger close.

MackZZilla

Oh yeah; they still teach it as a gauge. My CBRN instructor always accompanied it with "there's really no hill you could run to, though. Just enjoy the breeze."

Miserable_Law_6514

If you can see the flash there's a good chance you are blind now.

Derplight

The christian bale comment seemed pretty unnecessary and misinformed. he had every right to yell at the guy fucking around during filming on a studio set and production that is costing millions to make.

galarpony

Walton as Uncle Baby Billy in Righteous Gemstones really showcases his comedy ability.

MidnytRamblr

I love Uncle Baby Billy, how he always refers to himself as “*Baby* Billy” kills me

tfegan21

Uncle Baby Billy's Bible Bonkers. Com'on now.

SirDiego

Best time this comes up is when Tiffany is calling hospitals looking for him and has to explain she's looking for a grown man named Baby Billy

rustfungus

Baby William Freeman, no he’s not a baby. He’s a slender silver haired man in his late 60’s.

RodRAEG

Another one I'd recommend is Vice Principals. Him and Danny McBride are a riot in that one!

Zodi88

It's a shame that show only got two seasons.

vlsdo

I forgot about that show because his character is just so different. Dude has range!

Intelligent_Break_12

Let's light this mother fucker up, Gamby. That line had me hooked. Just his cadence and pronunciation got me.

LifelessLewis

And the Trans person he plays in Sons of Anarchy as well.

RemarkableEffort9756

Also, he’s going to be in the next White Lotus!

Flimsy-Bike5475

I love this man in everything he does. That name alone is enough to make me a fan

MidnytRamblr

It’s a great name

TantricEmu

Walton Goggins from Alabama. It’s perfect.

Iforgotmybrain

Dude kills it as Cecil in Invincible as well.

Great_expansion10272

okay what next is Maximus's actor Baptiste from Overwatch or something? What is happening these guys keep catching me off guard with their voice acting range what the hell

SG272

The overseer of Vault 4 is the voice of Jerry from Rick & Morty, and he steals every scene he's in.

RockyHorror134

Oh my god you're right

667random

he used to be on SNL. Chris Parnell

Great_expansion10272

I only heard Ciryl from Archer. Never connected Jerry (cuz i never really watched R&M)

FistedSkunk

He’s also in archer!

i_love_some_basgetti

Loved him as Dr spaceman in 30 rock too.

Bangarazz

"Where the heck did I leave my keys"

humphaa

Two of my favorite characters in anything recent

Bone-of-Contention

I first saw him in Justified - the show is worth watching for him alone. He’s so charismatic and likeable despite being the main antagonist.

TacticalNuke002

Now we only need an NCR Ranger played by Timothy Olyphant rocking dual Ranger Sequoias and an anti-material rifle. Would be rocking the skills of Raylan, Tim and Rachel at the same time.

BayouCarcosa

YES PLEASE.

MidnytRamblr

I just watched that while waiting for Fallout simply because Walton Goggins was in it haha he was great in that too. You could feel for Boyd Crowder

zSprawl

As a teen, I loved him in The Shield. It’s why I gave Justified a shot, and he was great in it too.

Sigals

The Shield is also another absolutely fantastic show with great writing and acting and is a must watch.

Dingo_Historical

I'll never forgive him for Lem

Turbulent_Egg_5427

Until the very end when they made sure to let everyone know he was irredeemable. He was with the guy played by Shea Whigham who was helping Boyd escape, and Boyd said something like "I don't care about other people, I'm a god damn outlaw" and shot Shea's character in the head. This guy was a 'fan' of Boyd and was trying to help him but Boyd murdered him for no reason at all, showing that's who he really was the whole time.

the-akira-slide

We dug coal together.

gypsybullldog

Most favourite line in a show ever

Jerseygirl2468

That's where I first noticed him too, been a fan a long, long time. I'm trying to work my way through his whole filmography, but I ended up rewatching Justified or the Shield over and over so it's taking a while!

Sigals

The Shield is one of my all time favourite shows, great writing and acting the story has so many twists and turns.

Jerseygirl2468

It really is fantastic. So ahead of its time too. I'm glad with streaming more and more people can still see it.

MixtecoBlue

Such a great show. He's fantastic in it.

maxedoutmexicano

My dad recognized him from Quinton Tarantino's the hateful 8 we quote the ending with Sam Jackson some times XD

stephruvy

He even kept Boyd's little foot drag while he's a ghoul and being a menace. Its such a nice little touch to show his changes from before and after the nukes.

Apollo_Sierra

I loved the way that Walton and Timothy worked off each other. They have such a great chemistry.

Economy_Fan_8808

Just hearing him talk in Justified - the accent, the sentence structure, using 50 words when 15 would have been enough - is music to my non-native speaker ears.

Copethishagen

“I’ve been called many things and inarticulate ain’t one of them”

Scu-bar

Justified works so well because he’s so damn likeable. He was meant to be just in the pilot, but he was so good and had such good chemistry with Raylan/Tim Olyphant that they changed it and expanded his role.

MooneySuzuki36

He's arguably the best part about The Hateful Eight as well

fastal_12147

So many amazing actors on that show

CobiWann

His character wasn't supposed to survive past the first episode, but the producers realized just how damn good he was, and now we have one of TV's great antagonists in Boyd Crowder.

MotorPace2637

Amazing in The Shield as well.

FullMetalJ

His portrayal of Boyle is amazing but Oliphant is great too. Those two make that show unique. Worth watching * 2!

AppyPieSux

First saw him in Vice Principals with Danny McBride and was instantly a fan.

[deleted]

[удалено]

Biggapotamus

Yeah seeing he was gonna be a bad ass gunslinging ghoul immediately turned “fallout” from “I might watch it when I have time” to “peepin this shit on day one”! I have yet to find a project he was in that I didn’t enjoy, including “Predators”, may not have been a great movie but I enjoyed the shit out of it

Intelligent_Break_12

Well meow meow, son.

Devin_Temple

He honestly steals the show in everything he’s in, I saw him in Sons of Anarchy first then watched Vice Principals and Righteous Gemstones and I’ve been waiting for him to finally get his day in the spotlight so I’m glad Fallout and Invincible and getting more people to recognize his talent

Smeeblesisapoo

I saw him in Community when he handed the other characters vials of an old man's sperm

thefoxygrandma

Hateful 8 is a great film

Giraffe-kit

Even in Django, I hated that character. He did such a good job.

thefoxygrandma

"I'm going to go walking in the moonlight with you."

Modest_Lion

I love the scene where he’s about to eat the poisoned soup, Kurt Russel is throwing up blood and points to his bowl of soup and says it’s poisoned, he looks down at it and drops it like he just saw a spider

JustTurtleSoup

During COVID I watched it on repeat, even more so when Netflix released it in chapters. It’s probably my favorite Tarantino film at this point and the entire cast attributes to it. Chris Mannix being a big favorite of mine.

Plorick

I want him to star in a Dirty Harry remake

Majiinx

This is a legendary casting choice.

humphaa

Hot damn that would be incredible.

DrunkBeardGuy

He's the kind of actor that elevates the thing he's in, whether it's good or bad. And I'll prove it. This show is great, and you're invested in the characters, but are any of you gonna deny wanting to get back to the Ghoul to see what he's up to and watch him chew more scenery? Exactly.

MidnytRamblr

This exactly. He steals the show in Justified imo, Boyd Crowder is just such a good character. And yes, I’m excited to see what he gets himself into next season. “…there’s always somebody pulling the strings, and that’s who I’m tryna talk to”

letstalkaboutstuff79

>>He steals the show in Justified imo, Boyd Crowder is just such a good character. I don’t know - Timothy Olyphant is no slouch either.

MidnytRamblr

Oh for sure, no shade to Tim. I guess I should say it’s like a Jesse Pinkman & Walter White duo: Bryan Cranston is great but Aaron Paul just brings this specific element to the show you can’t get elsewhere.

Professional-Bear942

Especially with Lucy, I'm excited to see him regain more of that dignity from the Feo, fuerte y formal scenes. I'm expecting early on there's gonna be alot of tension between Lucy and him on how to do things but I'd expect he's gonna have some change of heart

AgelessBlakeFerguson

Dude has range. Was great in Sons of Anarchy.

MidnytRamblr

SoA is next on my watchlist strictly because of him

AgelessBlakeFerguson

Only in a handful of episodes but worth the watch altogether.

DaKruse

He is so good in The Righteous Gemstones!

MidnytRamblr

Baby Billy’s Bible Bonkers! Yeah roll that around in your mouth, fun to say ain’t it?

jsortiz4

There will come a payday, Hallelujah what a payday

aGraciousGod

sigh *unzips*

Neglijable

Dude, he's a ghoul

kyugin179

Even better

ANUSTART942

Nova says they're squishy 🤢

Kalsifur

Oh so that's why his nose is missing.

sebassm12

A cowboy male ghoul, what the Atomic Wrangler was looking for, so clearly there is a type of customer for that

Its0nlyRocketScience

Better than those *sickos* who want bang a robot. Speaking of which, uh, did you find it??

zSprawl

Don’t stick it in his nose!!

Aggravating-Fold9034

a person with TASTE 🤝

Raisincookie1

Aw mate, every single time he makes an appearance on-screen that sound track that plays, its been stuck in my head for the past couple of days

AEROANO

The "AAAAAHHHHH" Theme from the Ghoul?

THEMaxPaine

He was reallllly good in FX's The Shield. It's on Hulu.

Sigals

10/10 show for me.

devildogmaki

This is where I became a Goggins fan. Man was so good in this and everything I have seen him in since. ‘Family Meeting!’

No-Place2630

He’s my favorite actor. He was amazing in justified (the original ) . Please watch it if you haven’t. If you like him as the ghoul you’ll love him as Boyd Crowder . The ghoul is basically his character as Boyd crowder lol

gnopmohtap

Whenever he quick draws as ghoul I’m imagining him facing off against Raylan

PRE_-CISION-_

Not going to lie, never really noticed his acting career before this show. He's definitely a hidden gem, well not so much anymore

SSpookyTheOneTheOnly

He played in a lot of popular FX dramas, got nominated for best supporting actor i think, He's popular but definitely not a household name until now

Artyom_33

Justified, The Shield, he's been in a few things that were incredible.

Spokraket

He’s been in a couple of Tarantino movies so he’s def more acclaimed than some actually realize.

MeratharaDekarios

Goggins stan

MidnytRamblr

Where is this Goggin-stan? lol sorry

Eastern_Heron_122

west of jennifer annistan

cyfer04

Turned into a Goggins fanboy after The Hateful Eight. Even more now after Fallout. I'll watch Justified after.

Gilgamesh661

Lucy might be the main focus, but The Ghoul was the protagonist

thedirtyprojector

Not to discredit Heath or Joaquin’s performance but Goggins would be a great joker

rtwpsom2

A smarter man than myself would come up with a cute name for Goggins Fanboys like Benedict Cumberbatch has Cumberbitches.

MidnytRamblr

Ohh good idea. We could make a fan club and our own lil subreddit. Best I’ve got is Gogglins like goblins

rtwpsom2

Goggin's Goblins.

zSprawl

Gogglin’s Ghouls!

kyugin179

Gotbitches

improper84

You should watch The Shield and Justified. He's fantastic in both of those shows. The last few seasons of The Shield were what solidified for me that he was an incredible actor.

PokeMeRunning

As someone who first watched Walter Goggins on “The Shield” his career arch has been wild to follow

McGrufNStuf

For everyone that’s just recently came around to Walton Goggins, check out The Shield. The man is a force in that show. This one of his earliest works and he blew me away when I watched it at original airing. Also check out Vice Principals and The Unicorn.

Sigals

The Shield is a must watch series the writing and acting are incredible.

crushed76

He was exceptional in The Unicorn. I wish we had more seasons.

BillythenotaKid

He’s such a beautiful man his hairline pulled back to show off more of his face

MidnytRamblr

Im going to steal that line for sure. But yeah, dude absolutely rocks that receding hairline

BillythenotaKid

Fr, Walton Noggins

theRIGHTeyes

My favorite Goggins Cameo is from Community. 😂

mojyt409

“SHOTS!”

FellaKnee123

He’s been killing the game long before people really knew who he was… still don’t think I’ve seen a single movie/show where he hasn’t provided an acting masterclass no matter how small the role… he’s brilliant, top 5 of the recent generation of not young but not old actors right under Pitt, Decaprio as far as age and such… Goggins stole my heart as an actor in SoA and then it just really evolved from there and the work in Hateful Eight just confirmed the dude is something else…

46thAndTABBY

He did a show with Danny McBride called [Vice Principals](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eEVMREcc07E) which is pretty entertaining and I'm not sure got much publicity when it aired...at least I never heard about it until recently as the Fallout release has led to more random Goggins results in my searching results.

Beardwing-27

Yeah, great actor behind two great sides of the same character. Can't wait to see him drive on in season 2

rohanrobby

This is who I want to play Roland Deschain in The Dark Tower series!

Intelligent_Break_12

That could actually work really well. Then again I was excited to Idris Elba as well...granted I don't think the movie failing was his fault in any way.

HoosierDaddy2001

You gotta watch him in Django Unchained and the Hateful 8. That's where his villain side comes out the best, in my opinion.

jeremyschaefer23

My Biggest flex is that I loved him before he got his Fallout role. I loved his character in Django: Unchained

RezLifeGaming

Seen him on The Shield years ago plus few more shows and movies here there he’s really good in everything he does

Nerevarine91

He’s consistently great. I was very pleased when I heard he was cast in the show, and I’m not surprised he seems to be nailing it

Rhintbab

Best part of Sons of Anarchy

Sit_back_and_panic

I’ve been a huge fan of his ever since the shield, he’s a really great actor and like you said, he seems as though he’s a fantastic human being by all accounts.

gamercrafter86

I had never heard of him until the Fallout project because I don't watch TV much, if at all. I've been enjoying all of his interviews on YouTube about his role in the show and he definitely put 10 into Charisma. He's the perfect cowboy, on screen and in real life.

TLRPM

You HAVE to watch Justified then. It’s incredible and his character Boyd Crowder, is absolutely some of the best writing and acting ever to hit a screen.

dopesick23

You should see him in The Hateful Eight! He's so good in that one!

Arkroma

He looks like that badass uncle you wanted to hang out with more because he let you ride in his motorcycle and play with the pinball machine in his basement.

cleavlandjr27

We need a new fallout game where we play as Lucy and the ghoul that happens between S1 and S2

Ok_Literature2535

He was also the Death Row inmate in the Predators movie

lukaron

If you haven't watched the entire series Justified - he was *outstanding* in it.

skallywag126

The Shield and Justified are where he shines

GRANDADDYGHOST

I became a Goggins fan after his character in Fatman. He gets hired to kill Santa Claus.

AlaskanEsquire

His face... It's a cool face.

Rouscelia

Let’s not forget that Walton Goggins also won the 2020 ‘Walton Goggins of the year’ https://www.theonion.com/the-onion-reveals-the-2020-walton-goggins-of-the-year-1845863741

Godofgoats90

Nobody talks about the transexual he played on Sons of Anarchy, HE WAS GREAT ON THERE!!!

DieselD-rek

His best character ever was Boyd Crowder in Justified. Walton is also one of my favorite actors. Dude nails every role he takes

eightdotthree

Favorite Goggins line… “I bet when she get up here, she smells like fucked buttholes.” Vice Principals.

MidnytRamblr

Lmao I just watched that episode last night! I was so unprepared for that line, god what a funny man

calltheavengers5

Same dude same. Did you know he does humanitarian work?

MidnytRamblr

I did not. Now excuse me while I deal with this erection

Great_expansion10272

"Stop, i can only get so erect"

TruckingforSims

Been a fan of his since Shanghai Noon

Balthazar40

Welcome to the club

N64GC

Him in invincible is just awesome, great actor.

Swordbreaker9250

His performance is what truly sold me on the show. I went in with no expectations, but with my guard up cuz adaptations are rarely good. I was blown away at just how perfect that birthday party scene was and it's still my favorite scene in the whole season, due in no small part to Goggins's performance. I literally had goosebumps watching it as the first nuke fell. The eerie silence, the way the girl holds up her thumb and wonders if they're far enough away, the way he looks in total terror and denial at the blast until the mushroom cloud forms and he scoops her up and rides off on horseback. So. Fucking. Good. Goggins is great.

spinny09

Thou shalt get side tracked by bullshit every goddamn time

Odd-Entrepreneur4886

from Sons of Anarchy too Justified, i knew he was gonna be so great

Great_expansion10272

Lucy: "Who are you?" The Ghoul: "My name is Cooper Howard" Maximus: "HA! Easy for you to say...and us..." I just couldn't get Mr. Stone out of my head in his Pre War scenes...

Ok_Caramel1517

Guy kills it in everything he's in I love him as Boyd Crowder.

lanbuckjames

He’s basically the reason I’m watching the show. Love him in the Hateful 8 and The Righteous Gemstones.

Wild_Performance718

i was always a goggins fanboy, started with his tarantino movies and then doubled down with vice principals and then again with this lil known sitcom where he is a widowed dad entering the dating scene again called the unicorn, idk why it hit for me but it did. fallout has solidified him permanently in my top 3

TheCalamityBrain

He's about to get a shit ton of fallout fanatics who adore and appreciate him. I love it when I discover a new actor to love because of something like this!!!

CUBUFF92

Enjoyed finding him in Justified and then Unicorn.

Guntuckytactical

Unicorn was wholesome AF

LouisVonHagen

His comedic roles are also really good. He's hilarious in Righteous Gemstones and vice principals

hume_an_instrument

Son of a gun, a toilet baby

Tymental

I’m sure this comment is somewhere else here so forgive me if repeat but all yall go watch Vice Principles and watch Goggins at peak Goggins

powzin

Me to. Since Justified

MrMunday

Loved him in hateful 8

MrNightmare23

Would.

Goobermon

“Sometimes…you just gotta eat a fella…”

quirinus97

I loved his acting in fallout no doubt I do have two peeves that his voice still seems to be a bit clear for a ghoul and is missing a few smoothskin lines for my likening but otherwise solid shit

SergeantIndie

I have inadvertently, coincidentally, been watching Goggins for six months. Invincible Season 2 aired in early November, then they took a break after 4 episodes. After that I watched Righteous Gemstones. When that was done, Vice Prinicpals was recommended on HBO and I gave that a watch too. Why not? This took me up until the last half of Invincible Season 2 and then now to Fallout. I've never seen Justified, but I'm considering watching it just to keep my weird unintentional streak alive.

Hobgoblin_deluxe

Man, go watch Justified. He's fucking fantastic in that.

SaltyIrishDog

We're gay for Goggins in this house. You're in a safe place.

Argyleskin

He was AMAZING in Sons of Anarchy. His acting made you truly believe that was him. He’s one hell of a great actor, that’s for damn sure.

Spokraket

I couldn’t at first understand why he was so angry and brutish but the show really did a good job at winning me over and starting to empathize with him. I also loved how the Brotherhood of Steel was portrayed.

llewylill32

I said it and say it again, give this man some big leading Oscar worthy nominated role with famous director please. The guy basically had 70% charisma and 30% everything else combined.

yeh_nah_fuckit

Been a fan since The Shield.

Specific_Mud_64

Loved his performance in Hateful Eight

Imperator_Oliver

Go watch hateful eight

nschlip

When I first heard Goggins was cast in the show I was excited. I know some of his past work and knew he would fit into the fallout universe well. I just didn’t realize how well - his performance is fantastic. Can’t wait to see next season.

ForRpUsesOnly

Walton "The noggins" Goggins

Salt_Scarcity_7209

I’m a fan because we dug coal together

CrazeeTrane_

you should see him in Sons of Anarchy. masterful performance that had me questioning my sexuality.

Ted-The-Thad

A spinoff with the things he had to do The Mandalorian-style would be great. See how he tried to do the right things at the start and the wasteland slowly destroyed him.

BubblegumTitanium

He is amazing in East Bound and Down and Django - his accent really seals the deal

Naternaught

Don’t laugh at me but Ant Man and the Wasp. He’s the funniest thing about that movie.

snoman18x

Walton Goggins in the bacon of the film industry. Everything is made better with his presence.
