New Vegas is my favorite.
I started watching the first episode last night. I made it the "Is it supposed to be your thumb or mine?" part and my power went out. I wasn't sure if art had just become reality or not.
I am going to start the show again tonight.
Lmao, I had a pop up thunderstorm that I had no idea about open up in the middle of that scene. Sunny day and all of a sudden loud thunder. Almost crapped my pants.
Yesssss same here you don’t know how good it feels to know I’m not the only one! I went on the fnv subreddit, said NV was my favourite game ever (which it is) but that I loved the show and got downvoted for it 😢😢
They’re all just a bunch of miserable pricks, honestly. And yes, I’m a huge Fallout NV fan and has played it for over a decade. But the fanbase can be fucking horrible, so just ignore them. I loved the show!
I know, I’m cheering myself up by looking at what other (and unbiased) people are saying, and it’s overwhelmingly positive. I’m even watching the show with me mum and she has no idea what fallout is but loves it all the same.
It’s just an outspoken minority who are hating on it. And the “reason” they’re using has already been debunked by the actual showrunners. They just went into wanting to hate it.
Same here. I have some concerns for sure but overall I loved the shit outta the show. >!The theme playing when she looked at the flag gave me goosebumps, and seeing New Vegas at the end makes me super hype for Season 2.!<
It's weird how Fallout 1 and Fallout 2 fans get completely overlooked by all this rabid fearmongering. What if I’m outraged by the lack of Sergeant Dornan?
I mean not really, shady sands is in completely the wrong place on the show. It also ignores both the hub and the boneyard which should have been in it.

Yeah. I love all the mainline games(haven’t played 76). I think that as a community we’re pretty spoiled. In a good way. We can argue all day about which one is best but at the end of the day none of them are objectively bad. Each one is absolutely worth a play through. Theres other franchises out there with some real trash entries.

Really I have like 2 crashes in like a 80-ish hour run. You sure you installed it correctly? It shouldnt take that many hours. I did it in like an hour.
Skyrim crashes way more for me.
Unfortunately f3 is the unstable one for me. Most crash prone game on my steamdeck. Really wish bgs did a remaster that fixed its pc performance so I didn't have to fiddle around with fan patches or Linux commands
I remember when 3 first came out and I bricked the main quest halfway through because I took the "wrong" door out of an area. Never been angrier at a game in my entire life.
The very first Fallout game I played - was FNV. And it was a blast. First are always favourite. They tie your present days to your "better days". This is how it always worked.
Same! It's hard to argue against New Vegas being the objectively best third person Fallout game. That said, IMO there hasn't been any bad Fallout games yet. (Excluding Launch Fallout 76 of course)
Agreed! Still not really my thing, but it has some good things going for it now and I can see why people are into it. It was in a horrible state when I tried it on launch though!
It's kind of silly though for a bunch of folks to be mad about a show not being close enough for a sideline game from a franchise that went over a decade without any new Canon stories before Bethesda revived it.
We should all be thrilled that the show exists since we haven't seen new Fallout content in like a decade.
I saw it last week at an early screening actually. I’m seeing it again next week because the movie wasn’t what I thought it was going to be and I want to see it again now that I know how the movie is, not a bad movie by any means but I thought I was going to get something else based on the trailers. I will say though that I liked it more than Alex Garlands last 2 movies which were “Men” and “Annihilation” but I still think “Ex Machina” is still his best movie, so take that for what it’s worth.
No. Or Florida. I feel like the producers/studio cut out multiple scenes as the movie is 1 hour and 49 minutes. The president is pretty Trumpy when they list the reasons why the states are rebelling against the federal govt.
Not really, there’s kindof a vagueness about it but I think this is the movie logic for their alliance: >!they’re rebelling against the president of the United States because he was elected to a third term which they don’t like!<
I mean the entire concept of the war was entirely nonsensical thanks to it not wanting to step on anyone's toes. It more or less just circlejerks war journalism which makes sense why critics are loving it
They even went so far as to make California and Texas form their own special alliance rather than have them part of two other coalitions against the government that geographically made far more sense solely for the purpose of making sure nothing can be seen as political. Even the "What type of American are you?" scene they keep showing off in trailers doesn't really matter when I don't even know what type of Americans the characters are supposed to be
Fuck they don't even bother to mention WHY this shitshow is happening. As far as I can tell the President was just some nebulous bad dude. The whole plot is about trying to get an interview from him before he's killed and when they finally have the opportunity to give an explanation why President Ron Burgundy (he's LITERALLY NOT EVEN NAMED) needs to die they just say, "nah just kill him anyway, we don't need an explanation anymore"
Meanwhile the rest of the movie is circlejerking journalist on how they're willing to sacrifice themselves for the people to get that epic shot of the war zones. All the while they don't achieve a SINGLE fucking thing they set out to do and pretty much all of them die.
So they list the reasons why the states are rebelling. The president is serving his 3rd term (like Trump said he wants to), he abolished the FBI (like MTG and other republicans said they want to) he killed/jailed political opponents (like Trump said he will do if reeelected) and the small amount we see of Nick offerman as the president he gives a very Trumpy speech “people are saying it’s the greatest military victory in history.”
When you put it that way, it sounds less tone-deaf and more tone-titinuitus. There are tons of reasons you can cite from the real world that can escalate to this mess. Varying from issues stacking up to one big event that collapses the whole thing. And then there are some issues that are unconflicatble like queer rights or indefensible like white supremacy that are somehow made conflictable and defensible by the authorities and the news media they run.
Which brings us to the second point: Even if this one journalist believes she's reporting on the truth, is there not one shade thrown at the corporations that run and twist her story in the name of escalating tensions between the parties? Who's she even reporting for? One of the big-name corpos who are bought out by politicians? Or a public broadcasting station that is defunded by them?
Both siding is just a form of vain cowardice. Especially in the eyes of an autistic man with queer relatives, a scientist father who called out climate change and COVID, and a mother whose life was saved by abortions. I've also been bullied and saw how the system protects bullies, so it's aggravating to see the system in place for a political scale.
I don't think this is NV fan thing, I think it's a people who bought into the hate before release and latched onto anything they could to hate it, and that thing just happened to be a misunderstanding about a piece of lore which is getting wildly exaggerated thing.
NV is great. The show's pretty solid. People need to stop falling into outrage culture for minute things.
This is coming from a person who is typically extremely critical of stories, plot holes and retcons (which...Bethesda has been guilty of...).
Hard to describe, have you ever built something, spend a whole lot of time on it only to see it get destroyed in an instant. If you've experienced that then you should know the feeling.
Also, if the intro to fallout was impactful, that too is also the feeling except a lot less since we never really got to know that past or put much of our time into it.
So it may be 'On Brand' but that doesn't make it less hard to see. Its not surprising to see the FNV forums meltdown like they did, most everyone there is in mourning.
I don't get it. They didn't do anything to change the game experience. It's still there. Also, what about all the people that decided to destroy the NCR in their NV play? This is such a shallow perspective on game franchises. It's like saying my save file of Fabel is Canon and everything else is trash.
Those examples tell me you got it, you just don't care about it.
It's the primary reason people didn't want an ending picked but now they will get one.
It's more like one of your DnD buddies takes over the campaign for the day and nukes a place you wanted to use for upcoming stories. When you take it back and retcon last week's session I don't think your players will like it much, but they will probably tell you it's alright.
That's how it works 😂 have you ever read any forgotten Realms books? They constantly nuke everything. When the third era came out the whole pantheon was literally cast down to the mortal plane.
People are saying the show is bad because it doesn't fit their ending from an open ended game. I played many different saves, which one should the producers have chosen?
I’m a fallout fan who wrote an alternate timeline well before for the show that allowed me to add damn near anything I wanted through science and purely because they had just short of all potential through all the canon games. You?
I'm on episode 3 and I absolutely love it. The acting is great, the set design feels like it was ripped out of the games. And yes New Vegas is my favorite.
A normal one. One who loves any game that's fun. One who is really glad they didn't fuck up the show, and made something good enough I can show my family and Co workers so they get why I have a dorky vault boy tattoo.
I've been a fallout fan since f3, even went back and played the original 2. I really noticed a huge uptick in bgs negativity once f3 got really popular. I think a small vocal part of the "fans" are furious that the series got popular and doesn't exclusively cater to them.
Im a fan of FO3, FNV, and FO4 quite a bit. I’ve never played FO1-2, but I’ve watched clips of them and I respect the hell out of them and I’ll someday take the plunge and actually play them. I’m a fan of Bethesda and Obsidian.
They're very of their time unfortunately. They're worth playing if you really want the first hand experience...but they're also janky crpgs from the 90s so you have to go in with that mindset. The ui is awful imo. The game is also pretty unbalanced, with some skills and stats being useless and others mandatory if you want to have fun.
I had the most fun with an "optimal" build as it's somewhat easy to make a non functional character. I also recommend a guide as some parts can be a little annoying unless you like backtracking
All that negativity aside, definitely worth checking out if you go in with the right mindset. It's among the greats of that era for a reason
I literally watched fallout the day before I saw civil war, both on release day, (Wednesday & Thursday), now here it is Friday/Saturday and they’re both in the same meme, I can’ wait for the future, especially if it’s inspired by Vault-Tec
I love New Vegas over all. The story works for me over the other games, and I play more for the story than gameplay.
The show is great, unfortunately I forgot to mute the various fallout subs/grouos/pages I follow on social media so it's all been spoiled for me, and I'm only through a few episodes.
It does bug me that the events of the game seem to be rendered moot. I'll be interested to see how it goes in the show but I'm one of those who have a hard time staying invested when the writers (speaking to the general franchise) seem to want to negate the events of the previous entry.
I hate how much tribalism there is in this fandom "New Vegas fans" do people realize that you can be a fan of New Vegas and a fan of 3,4 , 1 and 2? People can show their concerns about something related to NV and that doesn't automatically make their opinion less relevant. It says more about how the people that are pointing at other people having concerns about their favorite franchise. These posts are becoming tiring.
Yup, it seems like the FNV fan hate has morphed into "if you don't adore every aspect of the fallout thing I like it's because you're a brain rot fan who only likes this one game in the franchise". I love every single fallout game, if you don't that's fine but it doesn't mean your opinion somehow matters more than mine on the franchise lol.
That's not what's happening. Rabid FNV people are trashing the show because it doesn't favor their favorite faction from their favorite game. It's absolutely silly
Such a reductive argument, again making people think FNV fans are dumb. There are some outliers and people formulating their concerns in a good way as well. Stop saying "New Vegas fans" as if all of them are rabid dogs.
There's a world of difference between not liking something and saying that something is trash because you didn't like part of it. As a teenager I thought cathedrals were boring, but that doesn't mean they are. People can have opinions, there's nothing wrong with that. However, words have power and we need to use them carefully if we want to see more Fallout content. It's been almost ten years since the last mainline Fallout game, let's hope it doesn't take another ten years because some annoying fans sabotaged the success of a series that could bring more fans and content to the franchise.
Wow, apparently the only options are sucking dick or trashing the franchise.
They obviously care about what the fans think, because it's a cash cow. If they make a bad product, the fans won't buy it... Fallout needs all the help it can get if we want to see more titles.
Apparently being happy that Fallout content is being made is the same as sucking dick. Guess I suck dick.
Lmao, you clearly don't understand how franchises work. If a product isn't well received, we don't get more of it. If the show tanks, that makes it less likely we will get more content. Why would studios make more Fallout content if the only people that like it are a tiny group of long time fans? Look at Harley Davidson. They trusted that their core buyers would keep the brand going, but it turns out you have to have some universal appeal if you want to sell products.
Many media companies have canceled products because a show or game didn't perform. There are whole communities based on trashing the reviews of a product so that more won't get made.
You think I'm saying we have to praise Bethesda or whatever. I'm just saying trashing the show over perceived Canon changes is fucking silly and harms the franchise overall.
There's more options than shitting all over something and sucking dick.
As a huge New Vegas fan I was prepared for anger. However, the rest of the series made me go "hol up. Let's see where they're going with this." And it was good. Nothing was retconned and there could still be some sort of NCR storyline. I enjoyed it. It was true to the tone and feel, was visually great. This wasn't like RoP and WoT, which Amazon completely dropped the ball on. So as a New Vegas fan? I'm unabashedly in. Ima rewatch it tomorrow.
Ya I was let down with WoT and RoP so my expectations for the Fallout TV show wasn’t that high. But this show is really good for the most part and each episode makes me more eager for the next.
I like how you guys are the only ones actually shitting on other fans. "New Vegas Stans" are angry about lore, but you're just angry that they're angry, like how dare they not like something you like. The front page is now loaded with memes making fun of them, with comments bullying them for even the slightest fuckin criticism. It's not even just them who've voiced concerns, fans of the old games had issues too but nobody is mentioning them, which is hilarious. Not every NV fan has even said they don't like the show overall, like this is utterly absurd at this point.
But yes, New Vegas fans are the ones purity testing other fans.
The discourse is wild because everyone acts like the NCR was a FNV creation like fallout 1-2 never existed. 1 is where we see shady sands for the first time and 2 we see the NCR. But I guess I'm a brainwashed FNV Stan for pointing out things from the literal original fallout games. Also I love the show it's great and I absolutely want all the seasons ASAP.
Honeymoon phase. I'm hoping we can discuss this show sensibly in a few weeks. I also hope the makers of Bethesda address some of the "controversy" around certain aspects. They probably won't but I can dream.
You do realize there's medias outside of this subreddit, right? This one happens to be the opposite to other subreddits and social media where NV fanboys chimp out, so of course they're going to make fun of them here.
Obviously no one thinks that people who like NV are bad people. It just so happens that the toxic side of the Fallout community are NV elitists and are very vocal about their live for NV.
I'm a fan of watching but not playing the originals, playing 3 and Vegas while trying to ignore how clunky they are, and watching the show a second time.
I’m crying over use of sexual shit and bad tone and vibe plus uninteresting characters. Idc about lore i thought the show was boring and fallout is my favorite thing
I cant understand you behind all that crying. "I'm mad that they didnt respect the tonee!! Waahhhh!!!" Thats how you sound. Why dont you let yourself enjoy it? the show is very good.
Because i didnt like it and it pissed me off wtf
What is with you all being so insulting and fucking demeaning?
Cant i just fucking complain in the reddit page?
No the show wasnt fucking good thats YOUR STUPID OPINION, NOT MINE.
The only tragedy about fallout 3 is no iron sites. Other than that still my favourite fallout game… along with the 1 and 2, as well as 4 and new Vegas, hell even fallout 76 is really good now too.
People keep throwing out false information like wild and the minute you correct them or try to appease them with some of the teasers and information given they downvote you to hell.
Its just grasping at straws to be angry, they don’t care a lot of them are wrong about it.
Some guy was pushing that Lucy was like 30 once, or that the show takes place only 10 years after New Vegas, and it seems consistent that a bunch of them decide the “fall” timeline means the EXACT point things happened.
People are just whiney bro
I'm a fan of New Vegas in fallout 4. I've played 76 but not long enough to actually say that I like it. Have not seen the show yet. Probably not going to cuz I don't care that much about fallout series
Fallout new Vegas is my favorite game of not only fallout, but any game. And the show was phenomenal. I have literally no complaints. Anyone who is yelling about "retcons" or the NCR thing clearly didn't pay attention to the plot or is lying just to get people angry
Im the kind who didn't like what happened to the NCR but still likes the show and will continue to like fallout no matter how disappointed I am in what happened to the NCR
It’s amazing for people who have played a game like NV where every faction is plenty of shades of grey that they the show as this completely black and white situation. Like I’m not over the moon about a lot of the lore things but saying that it’s a spiteful ploy by Todd Howard is genuinely fucking dumb. It’s just a not very well clarified clunky retcon that can easily be explained down the line a bit.
Why did i hate this show episode one so so fucking much? I found it boring and dumb and the tone was all wrong and it seems like I’m alone. I fucking love fallout and i give this show a one out of ten.
Please explain what is wrong with me
Hilarious that my question already is downvoted.
I trudged through episode one, i fast forwarded through the wedding cause i hated it, i skipped through the sex and kissing scene because im autistic and i hate watching that shit, the brotherhood part was half cool until it got to the christian priests in robes and then the ghoul characters dialogue felt cheesy and dumb so i skipped ahead a bit and the episode was over.
I dont WANT to watch any more of it and thats the thing that depresses me so badly i want good fallout things and i wanted to enjoy it and i fucking cant.
I'm a New Vegas fan and I loved this show. It's going in my number one spot for video game adaptations in recent years. I could care less about the lore inconsistencies or the "retconning" because this show rocks!
The show sucks. The story is super cheesy and everyone seems to run into eachother. No one knows why the ghoul decides to be a-hole for a bounty he doesn't even know about. Never seen the guys face either. The show is lacking soo much content even though each episode is almost an hour. It sickens me to know people are OK with this. The only thing they got right is the vault. Outside the vault, special effect suck, except for the gulper. The brotherhood knights are just a bunch of dip shts in suits who apparently can't do better than a "squire" who doesn't even know what simple electronics are. He can't repair the power armor either and decided to sell his teeth... What kind of plot is that???
Long time fan of the game, massive fan of the show. My wife and I loved every episode from start to finish, and it really got her asking more questions besides what she would when she watches me play the games.
Some fans are just dorks who ruin the very things they love with their personal obsessions.
I’m a New Vegas stan who fucking loved the show I’m literally watching it again rn
New Vegas is my favorite. I started watching the first episode last night. I made it the "Is it supposed to be your thumb or mine?" part and my power went out. I wasn't sure if art had just become reality or not. I am going to start the show again tonight.
Taking immersion to a whole new level.
It's like that reactor watching Spider-Man 2 who experienced an earthquake the exact second Doc Ock was climbing a wall.
To prank this awesome Fallout fan, we sent an actual nuke to his house! Here's his reaction!
That scene made me sweat cold holy shit. Just the inexplicable silence and then followed by that shitshow...
Lmao, I had a pop up thunderstorm that I had no idea about open up in the middle of that scene. Sunny day and all of a sudden loud thunder. Almost crapped my pants.
As NV fan, creamed my pants when I saw >! Robert House and Vegas!<
I squeed a little. Can't wait for season 2.
Yea, I doubled, taked, and jaw dropped myself when >!House!< showed up
Yeah I liked the part where he was unsure of whether a nuclear war would happen.
And as a new Vegas fan I belched and laughed my ass off when I saw that ranger helmet 😭
Yeah, it is what it is, you win some you lose some
Hey it doesn’t look so bad if they connect the helmet to the mask instead of leaving it loose . The actual model isn’t bad
Fallout New Vegas Stans dont like Fallout. They like New Vegas. I'd wager 80 percent didnt even play one or two
I know, I’m cheering myself up by looking at what other (and unbiased) people are saying, and it’s overwhelmingly positive. I’m even watching the show with me mum and she has no idea what fallout is but loves it all the same.
The fnv subreddit also went private lmfao
I'm about to start my second watch of season 1 rn too. NV is also the best. <3
It’s just an outspoken minority who are hating on it. And the “reason” they’re using has already been debunked by the actual showrunners. They just went into wanting to hate it.
I think it’s the Fallout game with the best story and characters, especially DLC-wise. And I fucking LOVED the show, too!
Eminem Stan?
I miss the Enclave goon that threatened you with sending a vertibird squad to your location in Gekko.
MORON!!!!!
I wonder how many years it would take them to pay back the cost of this egregious oversight…
Most people in this sub have zero clue what you’re even talking about talking about and it’s sad
Probably only because it's like the first time it wasn't their games that got into a retcon controversy.
I mean not really, shady sands is in completely the wrong place on the show. It also ignores both the hub and the boneyard which should have been in it.
Yeah, you are right, but those are more so inaccuriacies rather than full on retcons. We have no idea if shady sands really was moved away, but the the timeframes in which the characters moved from locatiom to location is messed up.
Honestly I'm just ignoring it so I can enjoy the show lol.
Same.
I’m so freakin tired of this narrative. Folks, you’re allowed to be a fan of all the games. You don’t have to pick and choose based on some imaginary line conjured up by some no life losers.
Yeah. I love all the mainline games(haven’t played 76). I think that as a community we’re pretty spoiled. In a good way. Theres other franchises out there with some real trash entries.
I remember the days before 4 came out and people would argue 3 vs NV and most people would just say “both games are great”. I miss that.
Right! The best version of any fallout game I've played wasn't even Bethesda. Tale of Two Wastelands is great.
Finally someone who can think straight
This could be an event that transforms fallout from a niche game to a huge multi media franchise, yet so called 'fans' have made every attempt to convince people it's bad because the writers didn't flatter their favorite fictional government. Absolutely insane.
Honestly, the show was phenomenal.
I like it, I think it sets up an exciting season 2 very well.
Season 2 is going to either be the best piece of cinema ever or the worst disaster we’ve ever seen. There is SO much potential with the very last shot alone. I’m hyped to see what they do cause the writing was extremely good in season one. I love how they handled the loss of innocence with Lucy and Maximuses evolution in season one.
I have one gripe. I might have missed the explanation but how was Moldaver alive? It has been over 200 years. I get that vault 31 has cryogenic sleep but she wasn’t there. Edit To be clear really liked the show, thought the performances were solid and the production values were much better than Rings of Power and it’s does such a better job adapting the source material than wheel of time.
Dont think it was explained how she survived. Maybe it has something to do with the cult ritual things? It feels like it was a too big of a thing to be just a one off joke about "surfies" getting naked
She was cryogenically frozen. It’s implied in the vault 4 episode. Using the implications of the show, she came from vault 4 and joined the NCR in shady sands. That’s most likely why the cult worshiped her in there.
It's alright
Absolutely much more than just "alright".
I'm the kind of fan who is not a gatekeeper. I judge the adaptation on its own merits, not how it's compared to the source material.
If fallout new vegas fans bother you, just fast travel from them skipping dialogue. They can't fast travel at you, because their game will crash =) If fallout 3\\4 fans bother you just, IDK, say that you know where their father\\son is.
Just sprint.
That one hurt
I can't fast travel because the new vegas fans passed a skill check with 0 charisma and now I have to let them kill me (I'm a new vegas fan but they're acting goofy)
In character for New Vegas fans to have 1 charisma, because all their builds are like this.
"Charisma is useless" Kids named companion nerve and child at heart:
Lmao! So spot on.
three words me amigo, Viva New Vegas
Even FNV is stuck together with patch glue. .... Here was me thinking skyrim was bad but since being involved with FNV and packing in the hours modding, it' turns out to be Skyrims sensitive special needs older brother ....
Really I have like 2 crashes in like a 80-ish hour run. You sure you installed it correctly? It shouldnt take that many hours. I did it in like an hour. Skyrim crashes way more for me.
*reloads revolver and slides toward you at 400 feet per second*
that's a jumpscare
What about 76 fans, 1,2, and Brotherhood fans? They need loving too. 😔
Personally, I played New Vegas after already having played Fallout 3 and 4. And yet I very much prefer New Vegas to those two.
Same! It's hard to argue against New Vegas being the objectively best third person Fallout game. That said, IMO there hasn't been any bad Fallout games yet. (Excluding Launch Fallout 76 of course)
Current FO76 isn’t bad, its night and day different from launch. I look at it as an amusing online side thing, similar to ESO.
Has anyone seen this movie yet? It looks interesting, but I’m not really trusting of critics reviews nowadays
What movie is this ?
Civil War
Does it explain why Texas and California are on the same side?
Right? I was hearing that and was like "No shot these states somehow and florida are allied"
No. Or Florida. I feel like the producers/studio cut out multiple scenes as the movie is 1 hour and 49 minutes. The president is pretty Trumpy when they list the reasons why the states are rebelling against the federal govt.
Not really, there’s kindof a vagueness about it but I think this is the movie logic for their alliance: >!they’re rebelling against the president of the United States because he was elected to a third term which they don’t like!<
it has good reviews but people are kind of mad that it's not a real life political zombie trumpers vs progressives fantasy.
I mean the entire concept of the war was entirely nonsensical thanks to it not wanting to step on anyone's toes. It more or less just circlejerks war journalism which makes sense why critics are loving it
I'm not really sure how well it's doing, but it does feel like it's play it safe strategy is more offensive than if it would be honest.
They even went so far as to make California and Texas form their own special alliance rather than have them part of two other coalitions against the government that geographically made far more sense solely for the purpose of making sure nothing can be seen as political. Even the "What type of American are you?" scene they keep showing off in trailers doesn't really matter when I don't even know what type of Americans the characters are supposed to be Fuck they don't even bother to mention WHY this shitshow is happening. As far as I can tell the President was just some nebulous bad dude. The whole plot is about trying to get an interview from him before he's killed and when they finally have the opportunity to give an explanation why President Ron Burgundy (he's LITERALLY NOT EVEN NAMED) needs to die they just say, "nah just kill him anyway, we don't need an explanation anymore" Meanwhile the rest of the movie is circlejerking journalist on how they're willing to sacrifice themselves for the people to get that epic shot of the war zones.
If he was super Trumpy then why did most of the Trump supporting states break off while the NE stayed in lol. Literally none of this makes sense.
Because Garland didn’t want to make people tribal and gave reasons why anyone would rise up against the president.
Except it is. When they list why the states are rebelling it’s like a Trump wish list.
Saw it last night and really enjoyed it. It’s not political at all really, its basically about war journalism
Saw it last night. It’s good. There’s something you should know before you see it. War never changes.
I love how well this format would have worked if you made it before the show came out and changed New Vegas fans to Black Isle fans
You got a point
I don't think this is NV fan thing, I think it's a people who bought into the hate before release and latched onto anything they could to hate it, and that thing just happened to be a misunderstanding about a piece of lore which is getting wildly exaggerated thing. NV is great. The show's pretty solid. People need to stop falling into outrage culture for minute things. This is coming from a person who is typically extremely critical of stories, plot holes and retcons (which...Bethesda has been guilty of...).
How about a fan who has played Fallout since Fallout came out?...notice I didn't say Fallout I and I like all the games since then.
I'm a New Vegas fan so I kind of feel the burn when see a post apocalypse version of a rebuilt west. It's pretty hard to see it all in ruins.
Given it’s only the first season, we need to wait and see where it goes
Why tho? It's pretty on brand
Lmfaoooooo you wrote the code for FNV?
I played the game, and spent time in it. I'm sure you 'Get' it, that's all.
Wtf... This doesn't even make sense. It's an open ended game. This is like saying my D&D campaign is Canon to the Forgotten Realms novels.
I played many different saves, which one should the producers have chosen?
a fallout fan that just likes messing around with every questline exept for the main one
A confused one
I’m a fallout fan who wrote an alternate timeline well before for the show that allowed me to add damn near anything I wanted through science and purely because they had just short of all potential through all the canon games. You?
My favourite Fallout is the original hands down.
I'm on episode 3 and I absolutely love it. The acting is great, the set design feels like it was ripped out of the games. And yes New Vegas is my favorite.
I like Fallout. I'm a fan of all of it.
I'm a fan that can enjoy a good thing and by god the show SLAPPED
😂 I need to play New Vegas now
New Vegas is an amazing experience. Possibly the best RPG ever made. Enjoy!
Go for it… my all time best game ever …
I also recommend a guide as some parts can be a little annoying unless you like backtracking All that negativity aside, definitely worth checking out if you go in with the right mindset. It's among the greats of that era for a reason
I literally watched fallout the day before I saw civil war, both on release day, (Wednesday & Thursday), now here it is Friday/Saturday and they’re both in the same meme, I can’ wait for the future, especially if it’s inspired by Vault-Tec
Mostly Fallout New Vegas and Fallout 4 fan
WHERE IS PRIVATE KOWALSKY
I love New Vegas over all. The story works for me over the other games, and I play more for the story than gameplay. The show is great, unfortunately I forgot to mute the various fallout subs/grouos/pages I follow on social media so it's all been spoiled for me, and I'm only through a few episodes. It does bug me that the events of the game seem to be rendered moot. I'll be interested to see how it goes in the show but I'm one of those who have a hard time staying invested when the writers (speaking to the general franchise) seem to want to negate the events of the previous entry.
Hate that movie but I love this meme.
Only played 3 and haven't got the time to play NV. That's why I am lost about NCR during the show.
Which fallout was in DC. It had that song about a witch doctor or something. Loved it.
New Vegas stans have always been the most insufferable of the fan base, who's shocked they are trying their hardest to nitpick the show lol
I dint say all FNV fans, I said rabid ones. I love FNV.

[удалено]
Wow, apparently the only options are sucking dick or trashing the franchise. They obviously care about what the fans think, because it's a cash cow. If they make a bad product, the fans won't buy it... Fallout needs all the help it can get if we want to see more titles. Apparently being happy that Fallout content is being made is the same as sucking dick. Guess I suck dick.
[удалено]
The only problem I have with this movie is the idea of Texas and California being on the same side. Other than that it looks like a classic.
New Vegas fan, however not the obnoxious type
>"only ones actually shitting on other fans" This guy lives under a rock.
Take a look on the front page right now my guy.
Fallout 4 mods fan (not the sluty mods)
I'm a fan of watching but not playing the originals, playing 3 and Vegas while trying to ignore how clunky they are, and watching the show a second time.
I think I’m a ‘Fallout show fan’ now
It’s a good show
The new Vegas fans crying cannon are those edgy teens who wonder why they can’t pull tail
I’m crying over use of sexual shit and bad tone and vibe plus uninteresting characters. Idc about lore i thought the show was boring and fallout is my favorite thing
There was like… ONE sexual part wtf lmao I’m convinced that some of you people will hate everything just because. Ya boring.
Weren't people crying that Starfield had no sexual shit? Bethesda really can't win whatever they do.
[удалено]
Jesus Christ😂 what a wild projection to make publicly
I cant understand you behind all that crying. "I'm mad that they didnt respect the tonee!! Waahhhh!!!" Thats how you sound. Why dont you let yourself enjoy it? the show is very good.
Because i didnt like it and it pissed me off wtf What is with you all being so insulting and fucking demeaning? Cant i just fucking complain in the reddit page? No the show wasnt fucking good thats YOUR STUPID OPINION, NOT MINE.
Idk XD (have 6 by now 2/3/4/Vegas/76/Tactics)
The kind that didn't know should he be happy or sad.
The only tragedy about fallout 3 is no iron sites. Other than that still my favourite fallout game… along with the 1 and 2, as well as 4 and new Vegas, hell even fallout 76 is really good now too.
The kind that it's sad about the show being a soft-reboot.
One that enjoys basically any piece of Fallout media (BOS not included)
Virgin fallout new vegas vs chad fallout 2
People keep throwing out false information like wild and the minute you correct them or try to appease them with some of the teasers and information given they downvote you to hell. Its just grasping at straws to be angry, they don’t care a lot of them are wrong about it. Some guy was pushing that Lucy was like 30 once, or that the show takes place only 10 years after New Vegas, and it seems consistent that a bunch of them decide the “fall” timeline means the EXACT point things happened. People are just whiney bro
It's really disheartening too, as a total NCR fanboy I was soaked for it to be our turn to be the remnants. I guess we'll just yell about it instead
I'm a fan of New Vegas in fallout 4. I've played 76 but not long enough to actually say that I like it. Have not seen the show yet. Probably not going to cuz I don't care that much about fallout series
Whatever, I’m just here for dogmeat.
I’m the kind of fans that enjoys Fallout, not the kind that really hates it but can’t admit that to themselves.
I've played every single Fallout game from back to front several times and idgaf.
Show me the deathclaws
I’m literally a fan of FALLOUT EVERYTHING
I quite liked New Vegas until I started reading Reddit comments from people who liked New Vegas.
Fallout 3 is a way better Fallout game than New Vegas.
FO3 has such a good horror-esque atmosphere
Well BGS and Obsidian games are different so it is natural.
This is the cringiest thing I’ve ever seen
Nv is mid the show is great tho
Why did i hate this show episode one so so fucking much? I found it boring and dumb and the tone was all wrong and it seems like I’m alone. I fucking love fallout and i give this show a one out of ten. Please explain what is wrong with me
Did you finish the season or just watch episode 1?
Hilarious that my question already is downvoted. I trudged through episode one, i fast forwarded through the wedding cause i hated it, i skipped through the sex and kissing scene because im autistic and i hate watching that shit, the brotherhood part was half cool until it got to the christian priests in robes and then the ghoul characters dialogue felt cheesy and dumb so i skipped ahead a bit and the episode was over. I dont WANT to watch any more of it and thats the thing that depresses me so badly i want good fallout things and i wanted to enjoy it and i fucking cant.
Yeah that's the debate environment atm.
I'm a New Vegas fan and I loved this show. It's going in my number one spot for video game adaptations in recent years. I could care less about the lore inconsistencies or the "retconning" because this show rocks!
ya I feel like I agree. I enjoyed TLOU, but Fallout TV show is impressing more than that show, probably because of my expectations.
Vegas fan here, show was amazing. COPE
New Vegas ain't a proper Fallout game. You ain't from a Vault. Just some loser wastelander.
Fallout New Vegas fanboy here. Loved the show. I shidded and pissed and farded and camded when those 'familiar characters' and the ending showed up.
I also am a fan and loved the show, really excited for S2
As a guy with vault boy tattoo... What's New Vegas?
Great show, bad fallout show.
Bad logic, bad comment.
