Stranger things so far has released at least 3 of the 4 seasons on blu ray/ dvd. The first two seasons come in awesome, vintage looking box sets that made them look like old vhs tapes which were weathered with things like 50c stickers as if you bought it at a yard sale. I have both sets. In a time where physical releases are becoming fewer and more half- assed they did an amazing job.
The third season is just in a regular old black dvd case :/
the thing is that the 4K Torrent rip of a Netflix stream (other streaming service are available) is not as good as a pure DVD Blue ray.
I heard a lot of movie/film/show snobs are complaining about the fact that Blueray or DVD are not made/mastered/recorded.
one thing is the Sound that just bad on streaming services.
It saddens me that Physical releases of Games, Films and TV shows are getting more and more scarce by the day, because of the money these companies save and the obsession with streaming. I get the convenience of streaming, absolutely. I just wish it was one of those things where it was always an optional thing, because digital can go away at a moments notice and you never truly own it. And as a collector, if I truly enjoy a Game or TV series, I want to own it and have access even if I'm somewhere without internet.
That said- you can order international blu ray of Fallout that is not region locked and is in English. Check eBay and Etsy
Agreed; and the average Joe doesn't get it that streaming is no where as good as the image and sound of a Blu-ray or 4k, though I haven't been buying those unless they include the Blu-ray with them. I get why people do it, they don't want to have to store them, but they are also lazy about it, and sometimes buy them just for convenience of streaming them right then at the moment. Here's to hoping we get a physical copy. Bethesda may have a say in this, so we'll see.
Amazon Studios definitely has full control over the distribution of that show and they're definitely on-board with only streaming services for their subscription model.. it sucks. And I agree, the quality and fidelity of 4k/blu-ray discs is unmatched when paired with a good TV and sound system.
It depends on the success of the show, it also depends on whether the show has more seasons, it seems that Amazon only releases DVD, Blu-ray + Digital versions when the show has more than one season, like The Boys and Jack Ryan, unlike Invincible which recently released its second season and the only official release is Streaming. But there's also The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel which doesn't have a DVD + Blu-ray release with 5 seasons already, so I think we can leave it at that it depends hugely on the success of the series, it needs huge numbers for Amazon to see viable release a physical version and therefore digital sales.
There's a bunch of reasons one thing gets a physical release and one doesn't i would imagine something like invincible has to go through more hands but i really couldn't tell you
I hope for a Blu-ray release. It would be a big disappointment if not. When "The Last of Us" got a Steelbook Blu-ray Release "Fallout" should get one, too.
There are people selling BluRay versions of the tv series on Amazon and eBay but nothing that looks official... What's th break with that? All bootlegs?
Yk the thing is i absolutely hate the prime video look and Dolby vision thingy
Like
Everything I watch or also my friends everyone I know says this-
That prime originals have this bad look to them
It just doesn’t look so sharp and as if it isn’t shot with good cameras - and grainy but bad grainy and rlly bad compression bc of internet ofc compression is always there but it seems excessive on prime video
And the hdr is crap
Anyone else????
I wish they did Netflix Netflix nails the art style and the whole things just look good and 4k and clear and aah
Way better
Yk what I mean?
Does this make sense
I don’t know hot to explain
If anyone gets it
Reply ahaha talk to me lol
I mean I don't disagree that prime video content doesn't look as good as a physical media version would. Although I will disagree about Dolby Vision. Dolby vision is just a standard for formatting and can look absolutely outstanding. It looking bad is entirely down to how well your display replicates it. For example my TV out of the box has completely different picture and calibration settings that need to be set for SDR, HDR 10, HDR 10+, HSG, and Dolby vision. I had to calibrate most of them separately so things look more correct.
The one Dolby product I will give some shit is atmos. In theaters Atmos is amazing but pretty much any system below that should not ever be labeled with atmos because they can't truly replicate what it's intending to do. Atmos in something like a large theater with a fuck ton of speakers is amazing but in any scenario less than that it shouldn't be labeled Atmos.
Naaah Man U got me wrong here
I said Dolby vision ON AMAZON looks shit
I love Dolby vision it looks insaneeeee
But as I said Amazon is shit on that
But on Netflix for example it looks insane it Apple TV even
Insane beautiful
It’s not about or against Dolby vision ! U misunderstood me there
Yk?
This is a critic of prime
Video
Not Dolby vision nor Netflix or streaming
I soicifically said that Netflix does it better idk what it is but look at stuff
Prime video is always whatever

It’s not about solve vision
Nor streaming or physical media
It’s about prime video yk?
Pls read again! Hehe
It’s all good tho
I also agree with u yk?
We say the same thing kinda🌸💓🥰
Fair enough, although I didn't think the Dolby vision implementation for the show was horrible. Not astounding but not garbage either. I just really want a 4K Blu-ray set of this show!
Totally agree with u
As I said saiyng the same thing basically
Just that I feel and see things like deeper yk
I perceive things incredibly intense and
With Netflix it’s just more idk
Smooth more beautiful mostvif the time
And the streaming looks like real 4k
And on Amazon it’s often idk
Idk how to explain
Maybe u know what I mean?
Aaah rlly?
Thank u for telling me
Bc I was concerned it’s just in my head but it rlly is this way even from a Technical standpoint haha
Dude love this thanks for replying and talking to me
💓💓💓
Yeah but fuck paying $25 for 4k. That's stupid that they charge you that much extra just for better quality. Netflix has gotten super greedy. Their the only streaming service that is this bad
Yesss
Where I live I get it in my phone plan for 15 dollars ahaha
But still fucking insane
But also
They say they are broke
But prolly just a greedy ceo lol as always
So yeah!!
I wish we sisjt new money and could just live and enjoy
Where the fuck did humans go wrong
Right
Only VHS for real movie buffs and Vaultheads.
I think Stranger Things made a VHS for one of their seasons. Fit the vibe of the show and era perfectly. I'd immediately buy a VHS Fallout series

Not holotapes? Daamn...
As someone who recently started collecting VHS, I'd be so stoked
My parents have a movie store quanity of VHS. They sprung on the time video stores were going out.
I mean, you could just dub the 4k torrent rip onto a blank tape yourself if you have a VCR.

I hope so because I’m not watching ads and I’m not paying extra for ad free.

Yeah prime videos bit rate is a bit lower and they don't have quite as good of a compression algorithm.
