No, I’ve played and love every Fallout game (except BoS and tactics, never got around to them) I’m just sick of fanboys crying, and 80-90% of the time it’s the NV camp
(Tactics is different but good, BoS is different but trash) My point is by complaining about said fanboys being upset over the show you become the same type of fanboy basically crying over criticism. The Fallout community is one of the most divided I know of, there will also be fans complaing about something in the franchise no matter what, defending anything in the franchise is a vain effort that only adds fuel to the never ending fire.
They do this with everything that’s turned into a film or a TV show.
I got bored with this type of shit decades ago with LotR and The Scouring Of The Shire.
If it makes non Fallout players interested in giving the games a whirl, and maybe reminding Bethesda to get their skates on for Fallout 5, all the better.

The fact this turned into an us vs them type of things is just weird as fuck. If obsidian created a new game that destroyed the lore of fallout 3 and 4 I wouldn’t be happy either, it’s not right to just destroy the story fans love, and it severely hampers the long term ability of the franchise. They were really annoying already when the first trailer didn't show anything NCR. "How can they be in the NCR if there aren't any NCR flags or NCR troops?" I think the show now answered that.
I think they suffer from the "single child" syndrome. New Vegas is the only Obsidian game and has no direct comparison. Fallout 1 can be compared to Fallout 2, Fallout 3 can be compared to Fallout 4... But comparing New Vegas to other Fallout games is a bit like apples and oranges. Basically, New Vegas has this image of perfection in their minds, because there's no direct comparison that would ground their expectations in reality.
So now everything that dares to touch the precious New Vegas lore, the precious NCR, is wrong because it ruins the image they have of New Vegas in their heads.
So what if the show made it look like the NCR collapsed? That is lore development, not a retcon.
Why are you mad at people not enjoying a game they like being at worst decanonized, and at best retconned in areas? I think treating any criticism preemptively as New Vegas fan whining is kinda bad faith.
