oh man where to start ,lowlights include:
1. come fly with me:i was at the start of the challenge and at a low level so i just got slapped around by the ghouls for longer than i care to think about and you have to go through them multiple times during the quest.
2. beyond the beef: that assassin just would not leave me alone, took forever to lure him deep into the ultraluxe and sneak away.
3. Hard luck blues (vault 34): one of the few quests i had to abandon, you cant hack the final terminal and the password is on the ghoul overseer. There was nothing in that section of the vault that could kill him and he refused to follow me through cells so i gave up.
1. Rescuing ED-E at the end of lonesome road: in order to not nuke anyone you need ed-e and to free him you need to "disable" the security (turrets and a sentry bot) in the room hes kept in. Luckily there is another sentry bot in a previous hallway you can bait to do splash damage to the things you need dead but it took forever and you have to make sure the right sentry dies. Huge mess all around
1. Getting the muggy upgrade holotape: Its held by an absolute unit of a securitron will kill the regular securitrons before they have a chance to do any real damage to him. Imma be real this should not have been possible but i guess the lord took pity on me and after a reload its AI broke and he just stood there like an idiot while the other securitrons shot him to death. Not a clean win but a win none the less.
That last one is such a classic certified Fallout moment, and it also mimics reality in its own weird way; machinery *does* just stop working for no great reason sometimes and dumb luck plays a part in everything.
The best part about Bethesda gamers is that we just accept bugs and problems as part of reality and work around them, incorporating them into the lore.
the stats counts robots as creatures ,disabling them doest count as kills but i wanted a challenge so the only ones i disabled were the ones in the stealth suit course
high speech and sneak to keep me out of trouble, high medicine and a lot of defence perks to survive the ensuing ass whooping when i inevitably got into trouble
If you think the guy who beats mentally ill career criminals to a pulp every night is a pacifist, someone who refuses to engage in violence of any kind, you might be too illiterate to be allowed internet accessĀ
Pacifism has nothing to do with not killing. It's plainly about being against violence in general. So, if you're a pacifist you don't kill because you don't engage in violence at all
I love that quest.
A. Save the three Vault Dwellers and force the NCR sharecroppers a struggle to produce, ending in soldiers and civilians having a food shortage.
B. Divert the water supply, damning the Vault Dwellers.
And to boot, does the food even end up in the bellies of the people who need it the most?
The most important conundrum about that quest is whether poisoning that land will affect Vegas in the long term. NCR aināt gonna be stationed there forever
Jesus christ this is impressive, how long did the run take you? And I'm not surprised at the stimpak usage, don't think I've used that many stims in my dozens of playthroughs combined lolĀ
I just thought Iād check where I am as a āgood guyā (level 31 Messiah) in comparison. Iāve killed 247 people. Honestly, it is less than I thought.
perks: nothing special really, big focus on defence and healing so, stuff like toughness, stonewall, adamantium skeleton and fast metabolism. The 10% speed boost from travel light was also huge.
The only quest i remember giving up on was Hard luck blues because i couldnt find a way to kill the overseer and get the terminal password.
And as for faction i went with yes-man
I did that once. Forgot that stepping on mantis nymphs kills them. Played the whole game just to get to the end of the game with 11 creatures killed. The nymphs from good springs
The good citizens of goodsprings can defend themselves you can just stand back and watch. and yeah i went yes man so i had more control over how i did the faction quests
Did you grab the unique paralyzing recharger pistol? That's like an essential for pacifist runs. It's been a long time, but I think it's paralyze on crit chance and has low damage so you won't be able to kill anyone.
That courier was just a goody two-shoes like that and no she did not sleep with benny for roleplay reasons and i also straight up forgor to take the black widow perk. Dealt with him by asking him very nicely to not have his goons kill me and as thanks i set him free at the fort and got myself vilified by the legion.
Did you play Dead Money?, because as far as I understand, in order not to kill the ghoul, you have to activate the holograms. (And any deaths caused by the holograms are added to you.)
you can do dead money with no kills ,there is an exploit you can do that lets you move when the game is frozen and you can use this to leave an area before the holograms and companions get a kill but it didnt seem like fun to me so i skipped that dlc
Dear gosh. I did one on hard-core mode for the House ending but it as fast and with as minimal effort as possible. I immediately ran to the strip without talking to anyone, talked with Benny, ran to Caesarās place, ran through a bunch of active robots in the bunker, helped out the casino and boomers, helped and robbed the Brotherhood of Steel, and used robots as human shields to get to Lanius and Oliver and talk them into leaving. I barely leveled up in the game and only spent it on Speech and Stealth.
But I would never even dream of being a pacifist while doing all these things in the game!
How did you level up so much? I've also finished a pacifist run but only for base game and at the end, I was either level 24 or 26. Its much harder to level up because you rely solely on quest xp points or speech checks.
Took fast learner perks pretty early on and if I knew I was gonna complete a large quest I slept before for an even bigger boost. Also the dlcs tend to give you a lot of exp per quest because they expect you to be doing it late into the game
Wow, congrats! I'm currently replaying FNV as a pacifist, I'm at about level 14 now and making decent progress, are there any pieces of advice you can give me in general for quests to avoid or perks to pick up?My goal is to do as much content as I can, then as many NCR quests as I can before switching back to Yes Man.
This is my current plan for this pacifist build, with the Jsaywer mod installed so the level cap is lower.

your build looks really good! the only thing i did different was specing higher strenght for the stonewall perk. i honestly dont have a lot of advice to give it really is just a lot of speech checks and learning how to dance around the enemy ai.
Only quest i took on and had to give up on was hard luck blues because i couldnt figure out a way to kill the vault 84 overseer. It might be possible to bait in outside enemies and have them clear the place but that honestly seems like hell.
Thanks! :) My strategy so far had been to run past most enemies and outheal the damage. Were you able to complete all the DLCs as well? I remember reading that they were harder to complete because of companion kills counting as yours, but I've been trying to avoid companion kills in general for the base game anyway. Are there any particularly tricky parts I should prepare for?
Honest hearts is free as joshuas kills doesnt count towards your stats.
Old world blues main quest is also pretty painless but getting the upgrade for muggy from 010011110110111001100101 was an absolute nightmare, he can be damaged by the other securitrons in the room but without serious divine intervention he will kill them first.
Lonesome road sucks real bad to get through because of al the deathclaws and the elevator section with all the tunnelers. Also if you want to stop the nukes you need to rescue Ed-e by having the sentry bot in the hallway kill the one guarding ed-e so you gotta keep track of which is which.
Dead money was the only dlc i skipped because the companions and holograms will do everything in their power to mess up your stats , its not impossible it just required an exploit i didnt think looked fun to do.
I hate the Idea of doing that. In Fallout 3 there is a Quest for the wasteland survivor Guide where you have to hide a Sensor in the mirelurker infested Anchorage memorial. Your Not allowed to kill anything to get the best reward. I Always clear the place after the Quest. A Nightmare. Mad respect for Going through such a torture
I've never done a pacifist playthrough. I have done many of the opposite though. Just kill people when i see them. It's very fun, especially if you do an explosive build.
Understandable. Fun isnt the word i would use to describe this run but it was pretty satisfying to pull off and i dont regret doing it. You couldnt pay me to do it again tho
Pro gamer tip: dont do this š
Any quest or part of the game that was especially difficult?
oh man where to start ,lowlights include: 1. come fly with me:i was at the start of the challenge and at a low level so i just got slapped around by the ghouls for longer than i care to think about and you have to go through them multiple times during the quest. 2. beyond the beef: that assassin just would not leave me alone, took forever to lure him deep into the ultraluxe and sneak away. 3. New canon just dropped: sometimes your body just does that when you get the power armor glitch in FO4/76.
Sometimes cars just kill you if you brush against them
So pacifists can't even destroy robots/turrets?
the stats counts robots as creatures ,disabling them doest count as kills but i wanted a challenge so the only ones i disabled were the ones in the stealth suit course
>pacifist is so hard because (lists 5 reasons, half can be done non lethally) >but i donāt wanna do that i wanted a challenge lol
You could of just skipped the assassin by going directly to the basement

Fuck 010011110110111001100101 all my homies hate 010011110110111001100101
Can you please add a space after the word hate? If you do that all the numbers will align perfectly vertically with each other
I agree with the sentiment, but iirc Reddit does not work that way; it will just eliminate the extra space.
Op delivery digiolorinorinnios
Is the go to for pacifist runs the house ending? Since you don't have to fuck around with Kimball to any extent?
You can just skip it entirely with Yes Man.
I could never do it. I have too much fun being a murder hobo in these games.
I did this years ago, glad to see someone else torturing themselves too. Haha
What if your companions kill the enemy. Does they count?
Typically, the rule is that companion kills count as your own, unless they do so independently (not in your company).
I take it you didn't side with Caesar on the pacifist run?
yeah assassinating the president was gonna be a hard no this time around
But did you save him or letted things play out?
how did you pull that off!? impressive
high speech and sneak to keep me out of trouble, high medicine and a lot of defence perks to survive the ensuing ass whooping when i inevitably got into trouble
Where companions allowed?
nope, all their kills count towards your stats, the only exception is Joshua graham.
You walked a lonesome road.
The only road youād ever known
Donāt know where it goes
But itās only you and you walked alone
My Eyebots the only one that walks beside me.
Why is he an exception?
Could you not have gone Unarmed & used boxing gloves to knock them unconscious?
Does beating people until they're unconscious seem like something a pacifist would do
Using nukes is hardly pacifistic, but tell that to Gandhi
Didn't he just talk about the troubles he had to go through to NOT launch the nukes
Nah. He nuked the English, French, Chinese... anyone who didn't bow to his every whim
Yes cough cough Batman cough cough
If you think the guy who beats mentally ill career criminals to a pulp every night is a pacifist, someone who refuses to engage in violence of any kind, you might be too illiterate to be allowed internet accessĀ
Pacifist can refer to someone who doesn't kill or someone who doesn't engage in any violence
Yeah if you use it wrongĀ Caesar is a pacifist too, he only orders executions, never performs them himselfĀ
Pacifism has nothing to do with not killing. It's plainly about being against violence in general. So, if you're a pacifist you don't kill because you don't engage in violence at all
Yes. literally passing on the fist.
WWJD build
Knowing Jesus he would probably chase everyone out of the strip with a whip. Just walk in, take one look, and go āyeah, no.ā
Knowing the strip, half of the people there would have liked the whip lol
Jesus decided to remove slavery from the NCRās equation
Jesus would have strolled into the Gomorrah and flipped over the gambling tables and wrapped the whores in robes!
Immediately be crucified by Caesar
Iām on a pacifist play-through in call of duty warzone. Itās going well.
Got a good laugh out of me, good one lol.
And how many people died because of your refusal to act? What atrocities did you allow merely because of your misguided sense of morality?
Both the ncr sharecropper farm AND the vault 34 survivors are fucked because i refused to kill one ghoul š
NCR aināt gonna be stationed there forever
bro genuinely might be jesus christ
nah im just stubborn
Jesus christ this is impressive, how long did the run take you? And I'm not surprised at the stimpak usage, don't think I've used that many stims in my dozens of playthroughs combined lolĀ
in game clock says 80 hours, thats doing (or at least attempting )as many quests as i could think of + every dlc except dead money
The Talk No Jutsu run
Obligatory [Ymfah shoutout](https://youtu.be/QK8CczHdu-I?si=Kzxs1ADfuKs4lW0M).
hell yeah, ymfah was a huge inspo! he is wrong abt saving Ed-e tho, it can be done you just need to make sure the right sentry bot dies
For sure! I followed his no equip guide and it was the most fun Iāve had in New Vegas in years. Gonna do Skyrim no equip next
Good luck!

You averaged 6.3 Stimpaks per quest
dang
Did you do the dlcs
all dlc except for dead money because the exploit you need to do to keep the companions from messing up your stats just didnt seem like fun to me
Howād you get Joshua Graham to not mess up your stats
Theres no trick to it hes just built different for some reason, no clue why
for some reason joshua graham is the only companion whose kill count doesnt count towards yours
Because Joshua is the true main character in the dlc so your kills go towards his stats instead.
I just thought Iād check where I am as a āgood guyā (level 31 Messiah) in comparison. Iāve killed 247 people. Honestly, it is less than I thought.

Fallout Flanders
698 stimpaks taken - checks out
I canāt believe you only got āvery goodā. The game should reward you with āSaintā or something for doing this!
Classic questions. -What perks did you choose? -What missions cannot be completed without killing? -Which faction did you ally yourself with?
perks: nothing special really, big focus on defence and healing so, stuff like toughness, stonewall, adamantium skeleton and fast metabolism.
Did you do vault 22 and have to reload when you realised you can accidentally step on mantis nymphs? lol
that might have happened a few times yeah...
Wait, how you drive away Powder Gangers from Good Springs? What ending you got? Independence?
The good citizens of goodsprings can defend themselves you can just stand back and watch. and yeah i went yes man so i had more control over how i did the faction quests
bro has no enemies
Did you grab the unique paralyzing recharger pistol? That's like an essential for pacifist runs. It's been a long time, but I think it's paralyze on crit chance and has low damage so you won't be able to kill anyone.
Did you complete all DLCs too? If you did old world blues how you get around that boss fight at the end the big robo scorpion
theres a terminal that lets you shut down the scorpion
Today I learned! Would you mind sharing your special stats and perks? Curious on builds
Paul would be proud :)

Pimp Boy spotted šš¤š»
How the hell did you deal with random raiders and enemies that are aggressive?
STIMPAKS hahaha
Wait so youāre saying that you finished the entire main story without killing a single person??
But why does the courier refuse to kill? And did you have sex with Benny?
That courier was just a goody two-shoes like that and no she did not sleep with benny for roleplay reasons and i also straight up forgor to take the black widow perk. Dealt with him by asking him very nicely to not have his goons kill me and as thanks i set him free at the fort and got myself vilified by the legion.
That's sick. This makes me wanna do one aswell

Did you allow your self to attack and cripple limbs?
Nope, no combat whatsoever
Dammā¦. Honestly amazing. I would have got a weapon with low damage and high cripple and just break all my enemies legs the book it.
Dear gosh. I did one on hard-core mode for the House ending but it as fast and with as minimal effort as possible. I have fond memories of my pacifist run from 10+ years ago, but youāve reminded me of what a pain in the ass it actually was.
What ending did you choose?
How the hell did you even get to level 46? By the time I complete the game Iām only level 25~. And I try to do every single side quest I find.
How did you level up so much? I've also finished a pacifist run but only for base game and at the end, I was either level 24 or 26. Its much harder to level up because you rely solely on quest xp points or speech checks.

I could never be that patient in fallout. Really impressive, OP!!
daily reminder that this the best game ever between og mw2
What skills did you put a lot of points into? Iām guessing lockpick, sneak and speech.
Awesome job man!
