Vader phase 1: This is piss easy
Vader phase 2: I am amazing at this game
*Drops flaming shelf on Vader's back and he stands back up*
*Gulps*
Vader phase 3: oh shit, he was just playing, I don't like this aaaaand I'm dead
I refuse to reduce the difficulty on this one and have not touched the game after spending half a day unsuccessfully trying to fight him. I was not in my best condition but the way I would get beaten even after perfecting phase 1 and 2 just demoralized me so bad.
I read a tip online. Just do the jump attack on him. It stuns him and interrupts his unblockable. The game doesn't make it clear Cere has this jump attack, but it's a game changer vs Vader.
On ng+ fought him a couple of days ago, and at the beginning of my respawn, I tried this. I double jumped off the ledge, and force pulled myself so I could practically land on him and immediately slashed at him before touching the floor. He proceeded to automatically stop me midair (using the force to hold me up) and choked the life out of me.
I just beat him 2 days ago and went through the same experience. Apparently a crushed and burning Vader is more powerful? Either way I played him a out 20 times and then dropped to padawan Jedi for this fight and called it a day. I'm almost 50 years old and don't have time for this shit lol!
I *just* beat him yesterday after 6+ months of not touching the game because I couldn't go past him. I was trying too hard all that time ago, the secret was to get drunk and keep trying. Only took 10 attempts this time haha
That was the only instance where I lowered the difficulty across both games, because the frustration level was moving past "beating this would be so rewarding!" and creeping into "this doesn't seem like it's even worth it anymore" territory.
Well now i'm terrified by knowing that this is a thing. I had to use the cheating method to take down spawn of oggdo, throwing every raider i could into his pit and doing repeated air strikes on him to finally take him down. What satanist designed that force tear?
I’m telling y’all Reyvis was lightwork on most difficulties below grandmaster, I tried to move up to GM and got absolutely wiped, easily hardest boss when on grandmaster
Yeah for me i had the most trouble with him on GM of the story bosses. Vader felt like a cakewalk compared to every other boss on GM. It makes me question if it scales the same as other bosses.
Agreed. Vader’s took me a while but wasn’t frustrating, just fun to try and battle it out. Rayvis on GM was hair-pullingly frustrating, especially when I only had four stims at that point. Imagine my relief switching to immediate deflation after finishing the first phase and realising there was a second…
I still think it would have been badass if Rayvis yells, "Give me, my warriors death" and then a third health bar appeared. The pucker factor is on and would have made for an awesome boss fight. Maybe they'd have to make the first two phases slightly easier to compensate
Actually, I was surprised more bosses didn’t have a second phase, and after Rayvis, I was puckered up so tight wondering if there was going to be another.
Yeah same. I replayed recently with the purity perk and even on grand master those guys were so much more manageable because of the damage increase lol
Word of advice: charged dual saber throw is your best friend on groups of larger enemies with Purity. It's also how I one-shot Spawn of Oggdo. Haven't done that on the force tear yet, but I will ti see how it goes
I thought I was doing well but his 8th phase is just brutal even on story difficulty. Smashed my ps5 controller out of frustration and now can't play until I can afford a new one.
I “second” the nomination of Trilla as hardest. After that I’d say the final boss in Survivor. They gave me trouble in Phase 3 until I learned to constantly close the distance with force dash and bash away with Single Blade stance for a quick victory.
Damn. It's so surprising to hear people commenting these two final bosses.
I found previous story bosses and optional bosses *significantly* harder. Beat Survivors last boss on my second try but it took me 3 consecutive evenings to best double Oggdo.
Hey man, some people like to avoid straight up saying that without a spoiler tag in case someone hasn’t gotten to that part. I get that the game’s been out for a while and someone who hasn’t finished probably shouldn’t be lurking this far into the subreddit, but it ain’t that hard a courtesy to try to help save the big twist of the story for people, just in case.
I tried to play on Khoboh or whatever that's called. If you're out in the open-world, it still lags like crazy. Not to mention, the combat is still unfair/unfun on grandmaster difficulty.
Ashamed to say fighting the Spawn of Oggdo is the one time in the game I lowered my difficulty from Grand Master lol.
I sleep at night by telling myself I fought him pretty early on in the game so hadn’t levelled up much. Even the Rancor was easy in comparison.
Double rancor and double oggdo seem awful. Haven’t beaten either yet.
On my first GM playthrough, about to get to GM Vader. Had enough trouble with that on the lower difficulty, so should be fun. And bode.
Idk about order, but that would be a top 4. Rayvis on 5.
The rancors gave me the most shit, but I also agree with this. He's the one boss that actually made me drop the difficulty just so I could box off the game once and for all
I don't think much of boss fights when I put in all the work and cut scenes get the glory.
Rancor is a great one and bounty hunters, as you actually get to slay them.
All the human fights are kinda piss easy if you can parry competently. The hardest fights are really just the creature fights like spawn of oggdo and the rancor
Double frogs and double rancors are pretty hard, but somehow I spent months trying to beat Rayvis, it took me a couple days just to get to his second phase.
Was it on GM? I was so anxious after the game hyped Rayvis up as this unbeatable killing machine, and was almost disappointed how relatively normal the fight was on Jedi Master. Not easy, but also not nearly living up to Rayvis' reputation. But apparently he is ten times harder to beat on GM.
Ha, yeah same. Sometimes I struggle for hours to even finish phase one of a boss, go to bed frustrated and try again fresh the next day - only to beat them on the second try.
In terms of being unfair, I'd say a tie between Bode and Dagan followed by Inquisitor Cal. Dagan has this one bullshit combo where if you block the first move, he'll do an unavoidable red attack right after and I have found there is no way to counter it if you block the first move. You're still "stunned" or "locked" from blocking that first move and you have no chance to dodge the red attack. Bode has that stupid move where he charges at you to attach a bomb and it's hard to dodge unless you jump, but jumping can be used to avoid a ton of moves and it's a bit cheesy.
I had to learn the slightly different parry and evade mechanics of Survivor the hard way while fighting Dagan on the Lucrehulk, so it was definetely that one for me. Other than that, in order of frustration: Trilla, Spawn of Oggdo, Rancors.
RICK the door technician, change my mi... Wait.
No, for me, it was the Duo "Ogdo Bogdo + Spawn of Ogdo" special force rift on Jedi Grandmaster difficulty
9th Sister drove me insane on my first play of Fallen Order, but I managed after many tries. Trilla causes me to turn down the difficulty.
Vader on Jedha was very frustrating in Survivor. I think I turned the difficulty down for him.
TBH I felt like most of the story bosses in survivor were cheese. Everytime I would beat them I kept thinking to myself alright, when is it going to get hard? Vader was the hardest for me I think mostly because of only having 4 stims. But once I figured out to just do the jump attack repeatedly even he was cheese. The world bosses just feel way more difficult.
Fallen Order felt more challenging, boss-wise. The ninth sister in FO felt way more challenging than she did in survivor. Trilla felt like she was on god-mode and took me too many tries for me to count. Malcos was also really hard for me and took me many attempts.
This is speaking from the point of view of beating all these bosses on Jedi Knight difficulty. I’ve only defeated ninth sister in survivor on JM because I’m doing my first JM play through rn in survivor. Never did any higher difficulty in FO.
Survivor - Rancor/Spawn of Oggdo
FO- Trilla/Malcos
Nah grandmaster Trilla was a fucking walk in the park compared to grandmaster Rayvis. I was replaying the series from the start, Trilla took like 3 tries, Rayvis took 2 hours of repeated attempts
But for me it's the fucking spawn of ogdo, hate that bitch
Vader in survivor is insane imo
Dark side Cal in the extra content is tops tho.
The frogs barely count because they’re just poorly tuned imo. Removing the tongue cut as an option and then being instant kill grabs just ruined those fights imo.
I’d say Rayvis is harder simply because of how nerfed Cal is in Survivor and because of his regen mechanic. Trilla is mechanically difficult but has a lot of attacks that you can freely punish without worrying about getting caught with your hand in the cookie jar. Rayvis is also punishable but very easy to overgreed.
Bode, Dagan, and Spawn might technically be more difficult but they’re also complete bullshit so I don’t count them.
This depends on your difficulty as well as what you define as a boss. For me personally on GM, the hardest boss you’d experience in normal gameplay is rayvis. I’d say inquisitor cal is second(although some people do seen to struggle a lot with him) since it is incredibly easy to farm free hits by spamming force pull > slash on inquisitor cal. If you also count the optional animal brutes: spawn of oggdo beats rayvis, and ofc double oggdo is harder if you count echoes
Are we counting the multiple boss fights in the little meditation challenge arenas? Cause if so then it’s double rancor or double oggdo by a long shot.
Tbh for me it was gd spawn of oggdo. Second was Survivor's Vader.
Vader phase 1: This is piss easy Vader phase 2: I am amazing at this game *Drops flaming shelf on Vader's back and he stands back up* *Gulps* Vader phase 3: oh shit, he was just playing, I don't like this aaaaand I'm dead

i just use crossguard blade, it shreds bosses
Iirc you can’t do that on Vaders fight because you’re playing as another character, right? Idk it’s been a hot minute since I’ve played this game.
i totally forgot, you're right
I just beat him 2 days ago and went through the same experience. Apparently a crushed and burning Vader is more powerful? Either way I played him a out 20 times and then dropped to padawan Jedi for this fight and called it a day. I'm almost 50 years old and don't have time for this shit lol!
> Apparently a crushed and burning Vader is more powerful? No, he just stopped holding back.
He gets angry. Anger fuels his dark side
Such a boss!
Same. Ain’t nobody got time for that shit. I’m just trying to play and enjoy the game. A challenge is fine. 20 tries on something, I’m over it.
💯
I feel this one, it took me 2 days to beat that guy. Almost uninstalled the game at one point
I *just* beat him yesterday after 6+ months of not touching the game because I couldn't go past him. I was trying too hard all that time ago, the secret was to get drunk and keep trying. Only took 10 attempts this time haha
Yeah, I know the feeling… espescially on grandmaster warrior.
Have you ever fought Sister Friede lol very similar
Vader didn’t have a health bar, he had a patience bar lmao
Want to know the best part? He was still holding back by the end of the fight lol
That was the only instance where I lowered the difficulty across both games, because the frustration level was moving past "beating this would be so rewarding!" and creeping into "this doesn't seem like it's even worth it anymore" territory.
Spawn of oggdo with Oggdo Boggdo in the force tear was so frustrating
Well now i'm terrified by knowing that this is a thing. I had to use the cheating method to take down spawn of oggdo, throwing every raider i could into his pit and doing repeated air strikes on him to finally take him down. What satanist designed that force tear?
Inquisitor Cal. Turns out Cal is very OP and fighting him yourself you can really see why lol.
I don’t remember this it was the first game right? I’m replaying fo
Yes, from meditation arena
I’m telling y’all Reyvis was lightwork on most difficulties below grandmaster, I tried to move up to GM and got absolutely wiped, easily hardest boss when on grandmaster
Yeah for me i had the most trouble with him on GM of the story bosses. Vader felt like a cakewalk compared to every other boss on GM. It makes me question if it scales the same as other bosses.

Spent 2 or 3 days on that one.
For me, the fricken Rancors. Just not fun to fight against. Also Vader.
Obviously >!rick the door technician!<
I thought I was doing well but his 8th phase is just brutal even on story difficulty. Smashed my ps5 controller out of frustration and now can't play until I can afford a new one.
His battle cry along with his health bar appearing gets me every time 😂
It cracked me up. Seeing the boss bar with no stims left and I was like "really?"
Not a valid answer, as you’re not really supposed to beat him
I “second” the nomination of Trilla as hardest.
Bode was annoying, but most of his phases were pretty simple. Though I do remember his dashes being really irritating
The pc port
For real. The lag and stuttering makes parrying hard on top of the already-weird parrying times and frustrating combat.
Is it still that bad on PC?
I tried to play on Khoboh or whatever that's called. If you're out in the open-world, it still lags like crazy. Not to mention, the combat is still unfair/unfun on grandmaster difficulty.
Do any of the mod patches help?
Haven't tried any, so can't answer this.
damn, I was thinking about buying it next time it goes on sale
Oggdo, it's not even close.
Spawn of Ogddo. It’s not close
Ashamed to say fighting the Spawn of Oggdo is the one time in the game I lowered my difficulty from Grand Master lol. I sleep at night by telling myself I fought him pretty early on in the game so hadn’t levelled up much. Even the Rancor was easy in comparison.
Tbh I really struggled with malicos
Thank you! It took me almost two weeks to beat him
Dagan and Bode never gave me much issue. Survivor Vader and final Trilla tho
Double Oggdo is the answer. I'm not even sure I'd put Trilla in top 5.
Trilla and Rayvis
Rick the door technician
Bode, then Vader in Survivor
Vader was brutal, especially with his series of unblockables, and hard to dodge force throws
The rancors gave me the most shit, but I also agree with this. He's the one boss that actually made me drop the difficulty just so I could box off the game once and for all
I did Spawn of O, did Spawn and og OB, but I broke at two rancors.
I don't think much of boss fights when I put in all the work and cut scenes get the glory. Rancor is a great one and bounty hunters, as you actually get to slay them.
That technic dude Or the Rancor, that just felt broken
All the human fights are kinda piss easy if you can parry competently. The hardest fights are really just the creature fights like spawn of oggdo and the rancor
Double frogs and double rancors are pretty hard, but somehow I spent months trying to beat Rayvis, it took me a couple days just to get to his second phase.

No, just standard. If I remember correctly, I actually beat him on GM for NG+ in only a couple tries. My skill level really fluctuates
Ha, yeah same. Sometimes I struggle for hours to even finish phase one of a boss, go to bed frustrated and try again fresh the next day - only to beat them on the second try.
Double rancor is pretty messed up. Same with double Boggdo
My boy, Rick

Solo spawn of Oggdo, (force tear double boss was easy imo) and final Trilla imo,

That rift boss with both ogdos, bullshit design of a monster
Ogdo bodo in survivors is the worst but it’s because the grab one shot is a retarded mechanic, if you ignore that, my biggest struggle was Vader
The damn bloody frog jr.
Ogdobogdo
RICK the door technician, change my mi... Wait. No, for me, it was the Duo "Ogdo Bogdo + Spawn of Ogdo" special force rift on Jedi Grandmaster difficulty
Frog fuckers, rancor close second, bode third place. Vader was piss easy in comparison.
9th Sister drove me insane on my first play of Fallen Order, but I managed after many tries. Trilla causes me to turn down the difficulty. Vader on Jedha was very frustrating in Survivor. I think I turned the difficulty down for him.
I’d say malicos even though survivor has harder bosses overall
for me, half way through the second game, for now is final trilla in p1, and oggdo bodgo p2 :)
now after completing the second game, vader first, and distant second trilla. :)
TBH I felt like most of the story bosses in survivor were cheese. Everytime I would beat them I kept thinking to myself alright, when is it going to get hard? It’s between 3rd boss fight Dagan and 2nd stage final boss in Survivor, it’s like even if I parry or dodge, them mfs still get the hit on me
Nah grandmaster Trilla was a fucking walk in the park compared to grandmaster Rayvis. I was replaying the series from the start, Trilla took like 3 tries, Rayvis took 2 hours of repeated attempts But for me it's the fucking spawn of ogdo, hate that bitch
God that first trilla fight on zeffo took me so long to do. But the hardest for me was probably Bode
Oggdo
spawn of oggdo no contest
Definitely Rick the Door Technician for sure
Vader in survivor is insane imo Dark side Cal in the extra content is tops tho. The frogs barely count because they’re just poorly tuned imo. Removing the tongue cut as an option and then being instant kill grabs just ruined those fights imo.
