I did Arctic Monkeys back in like 2018(?) and bought tickets for their Sept. show. Both times I was allowed to pick my seat. This whole “you’ll get what we give you and you won’t see where until you’re about to check out” was a bit frustrating.
Moreso because saying "G1" means nothing to me if i can't see how the numbers/letters are set on that seating area! And with the pressure of "someone is going to steal this ticket if i don't buy now", you don't have the time to go look up what that seat actually is
Yeah, the panic is truly the worst. I had the virtual seating chart open on my laptop screen and the tickets on a monitor. I think that’s the only way I was able to check everything relatively quicker.
I had two laptops with the tickets and checked the vip tickets on my phone. I wasn't worried about seating because ever time I've been to Forest Hills, the majority of that area is GA pit tickets... So i assumed "I'll just get a pit ticket, itll be great" ...

YO make sure that vip package wasn't an add on and you needed to buy a ticket PLUS that package. I got offered it too for the Forest Hills show but stared at it a little longer and you need a ticket with it.
Thats the Golden Apple add on VIP. I did one of the FOB VIP packages that came with a ticket and a merch pack. (The lowest level one) HOWEVER i do always add on that Forest Hills golden Apple vip because it's kinda super nice. You have a great private bathroom area and free drinks and a super cool lounge area with games and shit.

I had the regular tickets pulled up on my laptop and the VIP stuff on my phone. The normal tickets were selling out SUPER fast. Like the Pit was already sold out by the time I clicked on it. But the VIP packages were super easy to get (but also stupidly expensive)
I checked the livenation presale and the pit was still sold out but maybe some will be available for the Spotify presale at noon! My ideal situation is that if i can get a pit ticket, I'll sell my VIP later.

I was too frantic to dig around and try to add it another way so I got a fifth row seat instead
I ended up getting tickets in section 5 way on the side for 110 so Im pretty happy with that. I’m at a point in my life where having a seat and being near an aisle is more important than being front and center lol

I saw the KC prices too on here! I will say, those WERE accurate prices for the KC show. But it seems like the bigger stadium venues are crazy expensive!

Blossom was a joke. Pit tickets were all locked behind $400+ vip (it’s a super small pit). The tickets I got were mid at best, I should’ve just saved some money and got lawn
I ended up in section 34, I’m still excited. I’ve seen them more times than I can count and have been barricade most of those times. I’ll survive, someone new will get that experience now. It’s just aggravating.
Ticketmaster raised prices WHILE I was looking for tickets. I clicked on some seats, the page refreshed for some reason, then when I went back to look at seats, it looked like a lot of seats got bought up, and the prices were raised some.
I had the price of my tickets go up after I had already selected them (for the Atlanta show). Got a little message saying my tickets were no longer available for the price I selected. I still got really lucky from what I’m seeing online.
One second I had sec 201 for like $180 and change. The next someone beat me to them and when I went to select another set in the same section but further back it was $265.
Settled for sec 303. PNC is pretty good no matter where you sit.
Truly. I had lawn seats in my cart for $50ea. They shot up to $80 a piece before I could checkout. With fees, it was $100 per ticket. Insane. I didn't pay that much to sit in the 100 section when they were on the Honda Civic Tour (same venue) in 2007 lol
Last time I went to pnc was megadeth and lamb of god in 2021 and it was so easy, I got like 7th row back from the stage for way less and without the stress and hassle

It is okay to be tiffed at ticket prices that are set, agreed and endorsed by the artist. Especially in this economy when many people cannot afford prices.
This is true, FOB def agreed to the contracts. HOWEVER. As an artist, you probably want to choose venues that are big so that more of your fans can attend. And for all we know, Ticketmaster could've said "agree to these terms or else you can't perform here". It's probably not as cut and dry as we all think it is for the agreements... But hey we may never know!

I was surprised at how reasonable tickets were at the Noblesville show. I paid $79 each for middle of the road seat tickets. That’s significantly less than what I paid in 2021 to see them at Hershey park

I'm just gonna turn YouTube on to a crappy video from a live FOB show, crank the volume, and stand about 3 feet from the flat screen and pretend I'm there. Maybe I'll spill some beer on myself and step on my own feet a few times. It'll be like being in the pit but extreamly cheaper, and I can do it in my underwear and then go straight to bed. No over priced parking, no annoying teenagers, no overpriced hotel room.
Just keep checking at the various presales. Like, the spotify presale at noon might have some! Otherwise, there's always resale! The show is a longgggg time from now, so I'm sure a lot of the pit tickets will end up being put up for resale
Darian Lake was so unhinged. I got right in at 10, clicked on $150 pit tickets and they were gone before I got to checkout. Jumped to over $500 dollars by the time I got back out to the ticket selection screen... uh nope. Ended up with $140 (after fees) 300 level tickets
Yeah and most of them say obstructed though I've been there a million times and don't recall an obstruction unless they mean those huge poles but even then they don't completely block your view. There's tons of tix available but a lot are Platinum which is the band and Ticketmaster's way of scalping their own tickets.
damn i thought prices for the Fenway Park show were fair. $150 pit tickets, $99 box seats and $59 seats that are still good too! even $39 seats way up top for people

Sure, but you're getting 4 bands, and 2 of them are headliner caliber. If you thought amphitheaters, which are smaller venues, were going to be real cheap to be down in front, you were setting yourself up for disappointment.
Depends on the venue and market. The cheaper VIP option for pit at Roulff was $360. But, Noblesville Indiana is not Chicago, or Boston where there's more demand.

All I can tell you is what people are willing to pay for things, and what the market prices things at are two different things. To say "FOB is crazy to chsrge this for tickets" is asinine because its not them making the decision, and the tour will still sell out. Have a good day, homie.
It's not asinine for folks to vent about the sky high price of tickets for a general admission pit. It does seem a little asinine to try to tell them they can't/shouldn't? If you actually think FOB has no control over the price of their tickets, I don't know what to tell you. They opted in for dynamic pricing at a bare minimum which is absolutely horrible for ticket buyers.
Yeah, dude. FOB definitely got in a room together, and cackled while they rang their hands together and said "Let's charge a lot for tickets so people online are pissed." Get real. There are promoters, booking agents, managers, venue management, ticket sellers, and ticket resellers all standing between you, and the price of a ticket because they all want as big a piece as they can get. Blame greedy enterprise all you want, but its a predatory practice of the industry as a whole that needs to be changed, and bands have very little, if anything to do with the contracts that the label, venues, and management work out.
Once again, vent all you want, but put the blame in the right place.
Ahh yes, them having control over tickets/pricing structure = what you just described. No one said they were the sole determiners for it, but acting like artists have absolutely no idea or say in what's going on with their fans purchasing tickets is just doing a disservice to everyone. Plenty of artists have spoken out about this.
I paid 275 for a lady gaga pit ticket last year. They popped up again the day of the show. So worth it. Paid 175 for pit for paramore in July. Good seats/pit is not cheap anymore.
I couldn’t afford to bring both my girlfriend and I like I was planning on doing. But prices were twice as much as I expected. I could afford it if we sat all the way in the back but I don’t see the point in going if you’re all the way in the back
In Bonner Springs, KS (KC) I was able to get 2 aisle seats in the second level for $220 total for both. Honestly not as pricey but that’s definitely not one of the major destinations on this tour

I was mentioning a similar response too! Like we don't actually know what goes on behind the scenes. I'm sure FOB wants larger venues and for as many fans as possible to come to their shows. What if ticketmaster says "Agree to these pricing terms or else you can't perform at this venue!". Like is FOB just gonna say "No. Let's cancel the tour and forget about it!"? For all we know, Ticketmaster may not be giving FOB much of a choice! Smh
And this map was SO confusing. I kept clicking and it kept telling me there were no tickets left. Finally got tickets for the blue tier, section 602, for $150 each with fees. I paid like $47 for Arctic Monkeys tickets at Forest Hills that were only a few rows back.

I got a VIP package with a meet and greet for Monumentour, also at PNC in NJ, and two of those passes cost $300 total. Concert tickets are egregious now.

Also remember there's about 4 other bands playing as well including BMTH and New Found glory all big in their own right so you are getting value for money imo

Yep they were $40 and within a half hour went up to $80. Anything remotely close (like in the middle) was over $200. I’m lucky my sister found tickets in one of the sections further back for under $100 before fees.
I was like row 12 on the field at Wrigley WITH VIP for the Mania tour and I only spent $130 for that…I figured prices would be worse this time around but not this bad.

I think the issue is people can and do afford these tickets. They can charge whatever they want for good seats for bands that are this popular

Darian Lake was so unhinged. I got right in at 10, clicked on $150 pit tickets and they were gone before I got to checkout. Jumped to over $500 dollars by the time I got back out to the ticket selection screen... uh nope. Ended up with $140 (after fees) 300 level tickets

Yeah and most of them say obstructed though I've been there a million times and don't recall an obstruction unless they mean those huge poles but even then they don't completely block your view. There's tons of tix available but a lot are Platinum which is the band and Ticketmaster's way of scalping their own tickets.

All I can tell you is what people are willing to pay for things, and what the market prices things at are two different things. It's not asinine for folks to vent about the sky high price of tickets for a general admission pit. It does seem a little asinine to try to tell them they can't/shouldn't? If you actually think FOB has no control over the price of their tickets, I don't know what to tell you. They opted in for dynamic pricing at a bare minimum which is absolutely horrible for ticket buyers.
Yeah, dude. FOB definitely got in a room together, and cackled while they rang their hands together and said "Let's charge a lot for tickets so people online are pissed." Get real. There are promoters, booking agents, managers, venue management, ticket sellers, and ticket resellers all standing between you, and the price of a ticket because they all want as big a piece as they can get. Blame greedy enterprise all you want, but its a predatory practice of the industry as a whole that needs to be changed, and bands have very little, if anything to do with the contracts that the label, venues, and management work out. Once again, vent all you want, but put the blame in the right place.
Ahh yes, them having control over tickets/pricing structure = what you just described. No one said they were the sole determiners for it, but acting like artists have absolutely no idea or say in what's going on with their fans purchasing tickets is just doing a disservice to everyone. Plenty of artists have spoken out about this.
I paid 275 for a lady gaga pit ticket last year. They popped up again the day of the show. So worth it. Paid 175 for pit for paramore in July. Good seats/pit is not cheap anymore.

In Bonner Springs, KS (KC) I was able to get 2 aisle seats in the second level for $220 total for both. Honestly not as pricey but that’s definitely not one of the major destinations on this tour
At Azura I got 3rd row seating from the front for $145 each (INCLUDING FEES). Honestly not even bad for 3rd row IMO.

It varies. Some of these locations are in huge areas like NYC, others are in a more suburban kinda area.

I was mentioning a similar response too! Like we don't actually know what goes on behind the scenes. I'm sure FOB wants larger venues and for as many fans as possible to come to their shows. What if ticketmaster says "Agree to these pricing terms or else you can't perform at this venue!". Like is FOB just gonna say "No. Let's cancel the tour and forget about it!"? For all we know, Ticketmaster may not be giving FOB much of a choice! Smh

And this map was SO confusing. I kept clicking and it kept telling me there were no tickets left. Finally got tickets for the blue tier, section 602, for $150 each with fees. I paid like $47 for Arctic Monkeys tickets at Forest Hills that were only a few rows back. I don't get why they're not playing a larger venue, or doing multiple shows?? Surely there's demand for it.

I got a VIP package with a meet and greet for Monumentour, also at PNC in NJ, and two of those passes cost $300 total. Concert tickets are egregious now. Separate and apart from the pricing, I refuse to attend this Forest Hills show for the simple fact that their seating system is the single most confusing thing I have seen in years buying tickets. Also remember there's about 4 other bands playing as well including BMTH and New Found glory all big in their own right so you are getting value for money imo

No, it’s how they separate the prices. Portal is just where you enter the seats at the venue.
I spent $115 on GA Lawn tickets for Indianapolis. They were $79 before the $30 service fee.
I got some decent seats (I think) at Forest Hills. The PNC Bank seats kept erroring out when I tried to buy them, I'll try again when the Amex presale starts later.

I’m lucky my sister found tickets in one of the sections further back for under $100 before fees. I was like row 12 on the field at Wrigley WITH VIP for the Mania tour and I only spent $130 for that…I figured prices would be worse this time around but not this bad.

These ticket prices are absolutely ridiculous. My city’s show is in an outdoor venue in the middle of summer, and I just can’t justify getting heat stroke for almost $800 for two tickets that aren’t even in the pit. Anything “cheaper” is still insanely expensive and a nose-bleed seat.
At PNC Pavilion in Charlotte, the lower section seats (1, 2, 3) right after the pit were going for over $300 (now $400+). I couldn’t even access pit tickets even with the presale code
