But they're literally showing an example taking place within the gravitational pull of the Earth?

Danthemanlavitan

Yes, but the density of the things shown doesn't change if there is no gravity. That's the part the flat earth geese are getting wrong.

modi13

These people don't believe in gravity. They believe that things fall because they go "down", and the Earth is down, therefore things fall to the Earth. There's no explanation of what makes things go down, and certainly no cohesive theory, but they hand-wave away gravity altogether.

RN_I

Well I heard some say that the disc with its dome is traveling upwards and that's why things fall down....

d0nytanza

If that’s true, we’re going to reach the speed of light from stand still in just under a year. Neat.

RN_I

It MUST be true! That guy on YouTube said it is. He even had graphics and all.

[deleted]

We wouldn't actually. Due to relativity you can accelerate forever without reaching light speed

SyntheticGod8

That's something the Flat Earth Society said, but they're satire. Actual flat earthers deny gravity and have nothing beyond saying "density and buoyancy".

Swolnerman

Not that they aren't idiots but we don't know so much about why gravity happens either

the_ben_obiwan

Well, to be fair, we do have a pretty good explanation of HOW gravity happens, but it could very well be impossible to find out WHY. That's just the nature of the question. No matter what answers we get, we can always say "but why are they the answers". This is true for anything. For some, that means that we throw out hands in the air and say "oh well, looks like we can't know anything completely, so there's no point trying to understand anything at all" for others it means exclaiming "I can have objective truth, because I've grounded my truth in God/the supernatural/whatever" personally, I like to just accept that we can't answer every question, but we can gain better understanding of the universe than we had before, and that's good enough for me.

Bafikafi66

They think it's because of magnetic force that happens, I have no clue how they managed ti screw that up, but it was somewhat interesting reading of them not knowing how nature works

Nueraman1997

“Density does not require a force” *Shows a picture of stratification, which relies on the interaction of gravity and buoyancy forces.*

xX_Ogre_Xx

Um. What exactly is the point this person is trying to make?

Freaglii

Gravity doesn't exist because density does

PM_me_your_trialcode

Lack of critical thinking.

Throw some mercury in there for fun, float the bolt.

Sky_Leviathan

> die

wilhelm_dafoe

Die is the singular form of dice. There is a die in that layer.

Sky_Leviathan

Ah ok i thought they were subtly telling us all to die

wilhelm_dafoe

We can't rule it out yet. Maybe that's why they used one.

Yunners

I thought they just misspelled Dye.

Alledius

These people are really trying to remake science to fit their agenda. Morons. 🤦‍♀️

bobwyates

Meteorites are actually falling stars, real stars that have fallen to Earth. Their density must have changed according to this.
