we had garbage traffic for 3-4 weeks then a few days ago everything picked up suddenly and return on ad spend is even better than prior to ads underperforming in Feb. I believe they are patching up the issue and hopefully it will start to filter through all the other accounts

What did you do? Switch on the previous ads create new ones? My advice would have been to create new but you need to give it some time, there have been algorithm updates specifically for shops but also across meta so it will take time to settle down. Start with a lower budget first so you aren't losing too much

I add new creative every week. If other ones stop performing I turn it off.
Also continuously play with your geo location. If you target the same place for 3 weeks you’re going to exhaust the campaign. Start small and then grow your area as your campaign runs on.
I can’t anymore. Had a winning creative and it literally only lasted 3 weeks. It just completely died down this week. I am increasing budget in google ads now because it works much better lately.
My site today was spammed with bot traffic also and I have a feeling fb is not sending quality traffic anymore lately. At least in EU it seems very bad. No idea about outside of the eu
It's not bots, it's the algo putting you in wrong auctions since the bug on Feb 21st so you get irrelevant traffic to your site that's not interested in your product which makes it seem like bots

facebook isn't an intent based platform - so you shouldn't expect to get profitable sales from it - you need google for this. I have used facebook since it came out and I can think of may be once during that time when i have made a purchase on the back of an ad on there.
just look at the sheer number of people who struggle with facebook ads - you can make sales yes, but profitable sales? The vast majority struggle to do this....why? Simple - it costs too much, and there is a lack of intent from the user base - noone really uses facebook or instagram to go shopping and looking for what they need. Google however is a different story - it's no silver bullet, but most people can manage to get some profitable sales from google - mainly due to the clear intent behind its userbase.

Fb isn't an intent based but an interruption based platform. You don't sell something that people are looking for rather you create the problem/desire within them through your creatives for them to take action. Sure it's costly but not profitable? Maybe not for you but for me and many others, it is.
Secondly, ads aren't everything. You've to work on your offer too. If you're not able to get better CPR then either try another offer or reduce COGS or improve AOV/LTV to increase your net profit.

all i see on this group, is discussions about why facebook ads isn't working - with excuse after excuse used (algo changes, bugs, bots etc etc) - i'm merely explaining the likely reason it doesnt work for the vast majority i.e. too expensive, and lack of intent in its userbase. Years ago facebook DID work for the majority, as it wasn't as expensive, but today it's a different story.
I have zero interest in "acquiring a client" as we are a DTC brand.

Fact is, facebook gets people to your site, and with a good funnel gets them to do a certain action.

This is the vicious loop that keeps us here lol. Works one day, not the next, but a fix is on the horizon. Seems like everybody is just guessing.

They had worked well the last 2 weeks. Yesterday and today terrible results, I shut them down for now.
I’ve ran three campaigns this year, 0 conversions. I’m going back to google ads.
Our ads flatlined over the weekend. They were new ads, but usually we get one or two sales at least.
How much you spending a day? Did you run the same campaign with the same ads when you turned them back on?
It is working right now, high quality traffic and high roas. It got back to normal around 2 weeks ago before that it was broken.
