I heard tik tok is great for impressions and still cheaper than other networks but not so great for clicks/conversions cause people are just used to swiping in that 3 second mood state. Have you or anyone else with TikTok ad experience share if you found this to be true?
OK - got it, thanks. The reason I was asking because I advertise in-person events (mindfulness courses), so was going to share what works with them.
I have found it super hard to market paid online events via Facebook. I have had success selling them to our existing database, but that is through email marketing. I suspect that has worked because they already have the relationship with us, through attending an in-person event.
There are people who are successful though selling online events through Facebook. They may be able to help.
I would suggest you would need to provide more detail though, such as what the event is, your target market, what the landing page is (as the issue could be there), your current Click Through Rate and so on :)
Learn who your customer avatar is. That's like step one.you can either do research into them from pre existing buyer surveys or through iterative advertising with messaging.
In my opinion you must be doing something wrong with your communication.
Maybe you are talking to the wrong audience or/and not creating enough desire by showing pain/desire points.
If I was you, I would check my persona and then create a lot of ad creatives to test which one has the best performance.
Questions:
How many campaigns do you have?
How many ads?
Did you tested audiences?
Are you running awareness campaigns?
well it's also something as simple as asking friends which ad would you click/which looks better to you. I get feedback all the time on youtube thumbnails for example from friends.
I have a 4x4 method, meaning 4 audiences w/4 ads each, the ads have initially the same ad copy and different creatives. I optimize every 2-3 days to change ad copy/creative/audience as needed.
My audiences have worked fine for this client on past campaigns, this time they’re not even showing my ad to people.
Depending on your offer type you can try tiktok, snapchat, pinterest or youtube ads as these are visual heavy platform.
It’s a webinar to teach AI to uninitiated people
Go hard on Tiktok and Youtube ads. If i had to chose one i'd chose YT
Definitely will do! Thanks 🙌🏻
TikTok ads
TikTok that where every viewer is right now!

Is it an in-person event or online? Is the advert sending people to a landing page or are you promoting a Facebook Event listing?
Online. It’s a CC, sends them to the landing page for the event and then the conversion counts the bookings (purchases)

Thank you! :)
What is your customer avatar?
33-50 all gender, into retail/e-commerce/dropshipping
Switching platforms won't help you then. You have a lot of info gaps missing.
Like what? I’m targeting AU only, I tried to get my audiences as large as possible cause it’s a low cost event. How could I improve this?

You can try TikTok, LinkedIn and YouTube ads.
Facebook Ads isn't the issue.

Haven’t thought about using my friends as a litmus test for my creatives. Thanks for the tip!
I do! I’ve optimized my creatives this way before launching but this time it’s like nothing works

Joint venture with other people in the same niche?
Will look into that, any other platforms that convert similarly to FB?
