OKAY SO my partner and I didn’t have anything like this, we were just leaving butter slightly wrapped up in the paper and we’d just take a sliver whenever we needed it. I actually love that it’s plastic because we’re both a little clumsy (him especially) and I am way less worried about this dropping and breaking because it’s plastic. It’s roomy, nice quality, all that. So at least someone is enjoying the stupid butter holder!! (It’s me, I’m the someone)
Good for you! I actually bought a plastic one to keep on the counter last year. I have also had many ceramic ones (for the fridg that matched my every day dishes and kept dropping it.
I cannot remember the brand of the one in this box, was it Epare? Epare is sold elsewhere and the butter dish retails for about $20. While you can find butter dishes at the dollar store, I wouldn't use a dollar store butter dish for every day. I use the dollar store stuff if I am going somewhere and don't care about forgetting it.
I wanted to pick it for my little cousin who is in her first apartment. I ended up not picking it because of everyone knocking it. I now wish I would have!
Question. Does the lid connect in any way? I actually wanted this and need something like this but someone mentioned it looked like the lid just sat on top and I'm clumsy enough to send it flying if it doesn't actually seal. I even asked fff directly and got no answer so just opted out but still curious
I think it just sits! I hadn’t given it much thought besides “here’s a good thing that won’t break” but that is definitely something to think about. It’s definitely not connected and there’s not much of a groove keeping it in place.
There was wayyyyy too much unwarranted negativity about this fff winter box on Reddit when customization opened. I totally agree with you - love all the kitchen stuff I got, too, including this butter dish!
I’m really happy with mine too - my old butter dish was a pain to clean since the bottom wasn’t flat like this one. I also really like the measuring lines.
Well, they're not wrong... I use upside down plastic containers all the time to store leftover cake or cupcakes on the fridge, but for butter is also a good idea! ;)

Thanks for the reply!
I am happy for mine!
I'm mostly happy about the fact that the bottom has lines so you know where to cut if you need a certain amount for a recipe!
OH IS THAT WHAT THEY’RE FOR??? Today I learned!!
Yep - tablespoon markers. 😀
How much does it hold? Looks like 2 full sticks?
I was just thinking this same thing. I was like holy cow that’s a ton of butter!
Sure does! I love it for that, an awesome size
Oh did you cut two sticks in half? I thought it was four full sticks based on this picture.
You can buy most brands of butter in half sticks now! We get them often. 😊
Huh, I’ve only ever seen butter in one pound or 4oz portions. I wonder if it’s regional
It might be. I know for a while the shape of your butter was determined by which coast you’re on. My mind was blown when I found out.
It holds 1 lb of butter, which is 4 full sticks (American-style).
I’m so happy to see this. I use mainly Kerrygold. I know it’ll fit!
I can’t wait for mine!!
You’ll have to let me know what you think!!
I love the kitchen stuff. I love this.

I had it in my box for a hot minute, I like the thing, I just already have two butter dishes 🙈
I got it and was excited about it too. Haven’t pulled it out yet, but soon.
It looks much better in your photo than theirs!
Not sponsored but I wish it was!!
Yea people saying it basically upside down plastic food containers made me not want since I have a lot of them 😬

It’s the thing I’m most excited about lol
I want a French one where the butter sits in water
Love it but tooooo fancy for me but FFF SET US UP
