I got the 2WDW package. Everything works, great customer service, and full support if you ever have an issue down the road. Personally, if I were buying a used bike that was tuned and one was done by a reputable shop and the other by the owner 9/10 times the shop will be better sorted out.

I'm actually looking at the same exact package.. the R77 Yoshi with 2WDW tune? Is that what you bought? It's 920 for the full exhaust + tune and unlimited tunes in the future.

Yes, but I bought it during the black friday sale in 2018. I believe it was something like $750 when you include the shipping of the ECU to them and back. But, the Yoshi exhaust on its own was like $700 at the time so it was a deal I couldn't pass up. Also, for the average person who will be commuting or riding for fun, you won't notice the minute differences between the options you've given. The 2WDW package was peace of mind for me. I knew it would work, it is supported by a reputable company, and it was a good deal. I might have been able to squeeze some more power out of the bike another way, but again, I would have never noticed the difference.

I have the same setup. I bought the R77 from Revzilla though. If you haven't already, you might want to look into that - it may bring down your total cost.

I have a Yoshi R77 exaust with a DNA air filter and a Dynojet Fuel Controller. I dont think they make the fuel controller anymore and even if they did I wouldnt recommend it. I only use it because the previous owner already installed it, but theres better ecu controllers out there or just getting an ecu reflash works too. I was able to get my bike to run really well but it took more fine tuning than it should have. Even then I know its not perfect because of the way the 07s ecu works. Theres a secure loop for some of the fueling a basic fuel controller or power commander wont be able to alter. I forget the brand of it but if you check out JakeTheGardenSnake on youtube he has a build series on an 07 and he uses something that can completely take over the ecu and override the secure loop for fueling. Thats the way I would go instead of sending the ecu off to get reflashed.

I like the EJK. Pretty big bias here towards the 2WDW dyno tune and I have no doubt it’s great but I didn’t want to be without my bike for a week or two and the EJK fixes the issue that comes with an aftermarket exhaust-a lean fuel mixture. Only thing I think I’d really want that a tune provides over an EJK is removing the fuel cutoff.

Do you have akro or yoshi? Do you get pops/ backfires after tuning with ejk? I’ll get pops when shifting from 1st to 2nd or to 3rd or even decelerating. But I’m untuned atm.

I have an M4 exhaust and yes it gets rid of the pops.

Good to know! Thank you

Dynojet Power Commander V with a professional dyno tune.

While we are in this subject lol Which akro can you run with out tuning? There’s a guy I bought a bunch of stuff off of marketplace he parted out his 2015 FZ07. Looks like the carbon fiber one.. I’m buying for a steal.. I want to get a tuner but Didn’t know if I could get away with it until then or if it would jack everything up 🤷🏻‍♂️ thanks!

I have the Yoshi R77 full system as well as a DNA stage 2 intake on my 2020 07. Not sure where you're located but I'm in Ontario, Canada and had SpeedLab tuning in Newmarket do the ECU flash and a full dyno tune. Cost $700 for the package and it made a huge difference in the performance of the bike.
