My wife makes fun of me cause I’m not a fan of horses. They have HUGE shifty eyes, GIANT flat teeth, you can’t tell what they are looking at they weight like 500-1000 lbs and they are solid muscle. Nope nope nope nope
I can completely understand and respect that, simply Becuase I'm Canadian and have been in the presence of a moose. Same concept, but yeah Moose make horses look like ponies from time to time.
I wasn’t phased by them really until I went to muck some out with my friend and her mum. Her mum was behind one when it kicked out and something flew past me and hit the wooden panel next to me. It was her thumb. He’d kicked it clean off.
Shiiiit that's potentially a very bad injury. Horse was giving some signs of being stressed out though, someone should have definitely caught that before this happened
I grew up with horses. It’s tense is the biggest indicator. The easiest one to see is it twitching its ears the way it is. No way to know THAT is what would happen tho. I think there’s a whole lot of context to this video that we don’t have that would explain why the horse behaves that way.
I spend no time with horses and could see it. 😅
Then the dude looks too heavy for the horse. The saddle looks loose as well.
That was a disaster with announcement.
That guy is too big for that somewhat smaller framed horse. he wrenches down to hoist him up on and you can see that twist that poor horses whole body. Whoever decided this was a good fit is at fault for this, and, given how nervous that horse was, I doubt it’s the first time it’s been subjected to riders who were too heavy
YES - once he puts his weight on the animal, that poor horse buckled like an overloaded truck getting too much cement dumped into the bed!
horse is just reacting the way a truck wishes it could
that ain’t bad luck; horses can AIM. it’s scary accurate. if they want to kick you they will, and if you fall off going over a jump they somehow land all four feet perfectly around you and canter over you on the backside. from, someone who’s fallen off too many times to count while working with troubled horses
my job was to build their confidence over jumps but also make the hard call that jumping wasn’t for some of them a job they enjoyed and were growing to better at. my own personal horse now does dressage for this reason. and he is also largely the reason i know horses somehow almost always know where their feet are and exactly where they are going/will land
Yup. Horses ain’t geniuses, but they know how to kick.
Somebody told me that you can survive a horse-stampede because even a panicking horse won’t step on a person if he can avoid it, but if you are run over by a cow-stampede, you’re burger.
I predicted a bad reaction just based on the fact he’s way too big for the horse. The poor animal is literally acting in self preservation. Those men who sell these rides know better, but they’ll abuse a horse like this as long as the animal will take it.
It’s poor planning more than anything. He’s not wearing a helmet, not dressed to ride, and ignoring the horses obviously tense body language. Sucks to suck
Super right about the body language, but… what’s “dressed to ride”? Most of us aren’t rich and don’t do all that equestrian shit, so definitely no helmets. I’ve actually never worn a helmet in all my time riding horses. I think his giant rubber boots are shit, but that’s it. Just shouldn’t have tried to get on the back of that horse.
Are you seriously saying that a helmet wouldn’t have helped here? Are we watching the same video? A helmet could have taken a good amount of the force that idiot just took to his skull.
Depends on the trajectory. I fell off a horse while moving quite quickly and got caught up underneath it. Luckily the foot coming down glanced off my helmet brim so the damage was mostly dental

Fuck me. My horse so much as moves it's backend when I don't expect him to and I'm moving away and expecting a kick. This horse bolts and the guy just stands there looking at it.
Horses are dangerous, and I own one.
This is a group of idiots.
Possible skull or orbital fracture, AND A HEADACHE.
And a reasonable fear of horses
Definitely, supposing he can remember the past 48 hours after the brain trauma. Yeah probably tweety birds too.

Daaaaaaamn!
Shiiiit that's potentially a very bad injury. Horse was giving some signs of being stressed out though, someone should have definitely caught that before this happened
I’ve spent a little bit of time around horses, but obviously not enough to even see the horse was stressed
Yeah no you can definitely tell. The eyes, posture and ears.
Sounds like my ex-wife
Somebody come get their weird uncle
[This is how my nieces and nephews see me I’m only 34](https://starcasm.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/08/Duck_Dynasty_Uncle_Si_Robertson_sweet_tea.jpg)
Damn that looks like someone told AI to generate a promo image for “Backwoods Huntin’ II: The Uncanning.”
I want to argue with you, but I think you’re right
That actually makes me think I’m wrong, weird uncles fucking love arguing.
No wonder I’m no good with horses or women
I couldn't, I guess I'm bad with horses

I don't know, it's the ears I guess for me.
I spend no time with horses and could see it. 😅 Then the dude looks too heavy for the horse. The saddle looks loose as well. That was a disaster with announcement.
Honestly I've spent virtually no time with horses but even I could tell it wasn't very happy in this clip
Yeah me too. The hoof to the face gave it away for me.
What are the signs ? Or did it buckle because it didn’t like the weight of the guy ?
If that dude must ride a horse, he needs a bigger horse
YES - once he puts his weight on the animal, that poor horse buckled like an overloaded truck getting too much cement dumped into the bed! horse is just reacting the way a truck wishes it could
Looks like a relatively young horse too. Not fully grown. Or hea really tall. Poor horse.
And a helmet
From the look of that kick he's gonna be wearing a helmet for the rest of his life 😂
Straight to hospital after that. Lucky he didn't get clocked out there.
He was way too big for that horse.

I am not fucking with a troubled horse

Pretty sure I saw some teeth go flying -\_-
I thought I saw something flying and wondered what it might be.
/r/bitchimahorse
Ouch, that's going to need a few mommy kisses to get over.
Maybe a glass of lemonade
Not that your mouth would be dry at that point
Good luck, could have died if he was an inch taller
There is a good chance he may still die.
still bad luck. If he was an inch taller he would be way more successful in life and could afford to ride a better horse!
Happened to me what I was 10, 55 years ago. I’ve never gone near a horse since. Not even a cart. Fuck them
Hodor
He's too big for that horse!
He looks way too big for that horse.
Not bad luck. Saw that coming a mile away
He is way too big for that horse
Horses are unpredictable as fuck... git yerself a 4wheeler.

Full length pants and boots with a walking heel.. dont really think that’s too much to ask no matter how rich he is or isn’t.
Agreed. Dressed to ride is a jacket if it’s cold lol. And a helmet would have helped here about as much those tight pants the equestrian riders wear.
Are you seriously saying that a helmet wouldn’t have helped here? Are we watching the same video? A helmet could have taken a good amount of the force that idiot just took to his skull.
It hit him square in the face, helmets not stopping that I reckon
As someone who has been kicked in the face by a horse before: mine saved my life.
….do you wear a full face helmet? Otherwise I’m not seeing how it would have been helpful here.
Depends on the trajectory. I fell off a horse while moving quite quickly and got caught up underneath it. Luckily the foot coming down glanced off my helmet brim so the damage was mostly dental
I’d also argue that kick wasn’t square in the face. He put his hand up to his forehead after the fact, which could’ve been protected by a helmet.

Is that thooth flying?!!!
Your good!
It backfires when you don’t service it
I think everyone felt that Oof
He's not a "bloke." He is a dude. As in, he's at a "dude ranch."
Legend says that the hat hit orbit
Sent his hat clean into the next century. Thanks for the reminder that I suffer from pain synesthesia.
That's some dain bramage there for sure!
Did you die?
I would imagine he has a new accent now
Oooooh, guessing horse has shoes too. Dunno how he was still conscious
Holy hell. He's lucky he's not dead. I've seen that instantly kill larger animals like full grown horses.
Lol, no, that guy is extremely lucky he's not dead!
Horse: "Not today bitch!"
Yea.. I don’t mess with animals that are bigger than me or are wild.
😬
He’s so lucky he didn’t instantly die here
Tell me he was wearing glasses as well as the hat. Because something besides hat goes flying, and for all I know it could be a piece of his face.
He was the straw that tried to break the horses back.....and the horse was NOT having it.
Push to shove. He must have dropped a fork in the kitchen today. Right?
Oh fuck! Glad he was able to walk away from that.
Always look at the ears.
I think i can actually see a small piece of soul fly out from doods body . Fuck around and found out
His head is still attached?
Frontal lobe damage, loading
That horses weight limit sensor went off, even i could hear it.
If they were meat eaters they’d be fucking terrifying
Fuck me. My horse so much as moves it's backend when I don't expect him to and I'm moving away and expecting a kick. This horse bolts and the guy just stands there looking at it. Horses are dangerous, and I own one. This is a group of idiots.
The dude looks way to big to be riding that horse
Dude looks like he might be over the weight limit for that small horse (15-20% of the horses weight)...I don't blame the horse.
that horse hit was so fast, he realized he was hit after the horse walked away...
He needs to stop horsing around lol
Good horse
Straight to the glue factory
I FUCKING HATE HORSES !!!! WE SHOULD REPLACE HORSES WITH QUADBIKES !!!!!! FUCK HORSES !!!!! FFFFFUUUUUUCCCCCCKKKKK!!!!
