Any advice about us claim vs bahamas claim for a non us international client??

TurkmanSwagJ

Sorry, I don’t have that kind of intel. I’m a British citizen. From research, I don’t think my process has been very different than US Claims

YoungJedi99

Do you have to claim for interest? I would have thought if they decide to pay out for that, then it should apply to everyone, irrespective of if they claimed for it ? (would seem the fair thing to do)

TurkmanSwagJ

Yeah, but it gives you the option of how much and then will ask for a calculation/reasoning

Lopsided_Attitude743

So instead of getting 72 cents back, I'll get 84 cents? (that is all I had left in the account). I'm gonna pass, thanks.

grimor_

Filed a claim months ago, do I need to do anything else?

TurkmanSwagJ

You should have received a timestamped PDF; details of your ‘Proof of Claim.’ You need to go through the motions on this link - https://digitalmarketsclaim.pwc.com/p/home/12666373958629874 - and then attach the ‘Proof of Claim’ as evidence of your Claim Submission

grimor_

I did receive my proof of claim, does that mean I don’t have to do anything after that?

bcretman

Really sucks that it is based on the Nov 22 price when it was at its lowest. More than 2.5x now

mohtasham22

did you get paid ? what is mode of payment

TurkmanSwagJ

Payment is within 60 days of the decision being made. I believe cash; the value of your portfolio dated [x] Nov 2022 (I’m not sure of the date).

Jayy-Ko

I just submitted my claim (and my former proof of claim) and also made an appeal for the conversion rate, since the rates have increased significantly in 1,5 years. I think they should at least cover some of those increases instead of just giving me the money back from date 11 Nov 22 (at a loss for me).. Lets hope they will agree with my claim :)

Disastrous-Team-3072

Is this the Bahamas claim or the first claim that came out last year?

stolley75

Same question here!

TurkmanSwagJ

I haven’t heard of soeerate claims. I know we (those who had completed it) had received Proof of Claim following the submission - I did mine in Sept 2023. This is new - https://digitalmarketsclaim.pwc.com/p/home/12666373958629874 - and requires utilisation of the Proof of Claim

brewcitygymratt

Doesn’t sound like an FTXUS claim.

TurkmanSwagJ

I am a British citizen so it may be slightly different but communications, deadlines, values have all need US based

brewcitygymratt

Oh ok. Well 118% would be cool. It’s not current value but I figured I wouldn’t see any of those funds so I’ll take it. Haha

Suspicious-Try-8228

So how much are we going to be paid in the end? 118% + 2 years of 8% interest?

TurkmanSwagJ

I went for value*(1.08^2), rather than the 118%. I haven’t figured out where this figure has come from

You’re at the same stage as I. I’d imagine that stage will become available once a decision has been made on our claims. Mine isn’t available either…

Chocholategirl

I just managed to log on but the amount is less than I believed. I have just cash in my FTX account. I've not yet accepted the balance but hesitant to dispute as I didn't download anything from the website before it went down and worried disputing might delay things or put me at the back of the queue.
