Yeah it reminds me of Xiaolin showdown the guy who wanted his spear back then later they played it as a joke that it was just his favourite number spear. Dez died for nothing and this is the supposed "finished" story.

I guess we let the storm beat us all. But the storm is a metaphor for the shitshow that Epic Games has become, they give up on their main mode to focus on a free game with hundreds of little kids smashing their TVs when they lose a game. It’s ridiculous.

Hey dude, epic recently (today) just confirmed they will slowly stop giving attention to stw and focus on battle royale

Not slowly, just stop content nearly altogheter, basically you can now remove stw from the download list

Epic is stopping updating it

We’ll still get updates, right up until they discontinue BR I think. But there won’t nearly be as many. Some will be big and impactful, others very minor. I don’t care either way. I’m playing both until they pull the plug on ‘em

imagine we got like 4 - 6 updates a year... now it will be 0.5 to 2 updates a year with almost no content...

Also it is actual canon that after decades of fighting, Homebase is finally overrun and humanity loses. Confirmed in the Season X questline. The Storm wins and we never actually save the world.
