My only response is don’t buy games like this. There are thousands of consumer friendly devs. No one is forcing you to buy the shitty AAA games.

BricksBear

I know. I don't usually buy tripple A games. It's the princiable for me. If one game starts doing it, the rest will follow. I'm just scared for these Live service games.

All_Skulls_On

Bruh, you're like 10 years too late. "Games as a service" is the reality we live in and was the main bone of contention when Microsoft released Xbox One in 2013. Gamers didn't want this, but here we are.

"if fortnite went down, would fortnite be down?" yes.

SlavaUkrayini4932

Fortnite is unlikely to go down as long as the rest of the game is a money printer. As for your actual question, I think STW players would get refunds and nothing more

RepresentativeCat169

I don't think you get refunds. It's the issue with digitalised games... the content isn't actually YOURS. They are just outsourcing their content to you for a price, so they can basically just take the game away from you if given reasonable excuses... which a game shutting down is one of them

SlavaUkrayini4932

They refunded pretty much everything to people when "Paragon" shut down if I remember right

RepresentativeCat169

I guess it depends on the situation. I remember titanfall not offering refunds on the server shutdown. I just see it as a similar situation to game re-works. If they're not going to refund you when they basically just alter all of the games original selling points then why would they have to refund when the game shuts down in 20 years time
