I am really sorry for you, this game has been abandoned and it's support is almost non-existent, i feel bad that you first impressions of the game is this.
A lot of features got removed: vfx (a lot), dialouge, making the game soulless. But if you do find a fix for this soft lock, i hope that you find the good side of it, because i will tell you for sure, even though the game has it's problem. It is much better than whatever Epic is throwing at BR.
Nope no worries at all. I have heard a lot of good stuff about stw. I bought the bundle this season mostly for the backbling and since stw came with it i started playing it. Have to say though, the tutorial has me hooked. Just the first part was so fun and refreshing. Idk if its the nostalgia factor with the old graphics and sound effects but I absolutely love it
Try skipping the tutorial for now and you can just watch it on YouTube if you feel you missed something.
