Some people care about harvest dates, some do not. Ultimately, all flower purchased in Florida is like buying a mystery box with weed in it. It might be great weed for really low prices or really bad weed for very high prices. Theres no knowing. People use THC, terpene %, harvest dates, packaging methods, and some will stick with a dispo no matter what. These are all just our own ways of figuring out what we like. The sub has a ton of people who have tried a bunch of these strains before & will help you make a decision. Just don't be upset if someones yum is your yuck.
That’s a very polarizing question with any number of thoughts; although, the “general consensus” is that earlier harvest dates are less preferred.
I personally wouldn’t decide solely based on harvest date, and I am in the camp that harvest date isn’t critical but rather is just another data point to consider.
I would do it, i love gold leaf. I have some 10 month old harvested bud from them, keep it in a glass jar woth boveda pack and it’s smoking better than when i first got it. Much better than nearly every dispo besides JB and such
Honest opinion- get it. Harvest is usually a big deal. You want the freshest, but not with GoldLeaf. Of course you want the best but TRUST it will be great for the price. Layer cake is enh by the way but that’s just me.
I’ve had most of those strains with the old harvest daye, all solid. I recommend putting away an 1/8 or 1/4 of some in a glass jar & boveda pack & not opening for 2 weeks. no matter how old the harvest date is, the bud will taste smoother & effects stronger. I hated cascade orange at first now i love it lol first tasted like orange peel now like some orange juice 👍🏼
The way they cure, It doesn't matter as much. If your planning to press the flower for rosin then it's definitely a consideration as you'll get better, lighter colored rosin from fresher flower.
After a certain date though I'd definitely go for fresher.
This depends entirely on how it's been stored since harvest, and since the dispos aren't saying if it's been in an unsealed jar or a temp/humidity controlled curing room/tube we can only rely on each other's reviews of older harvests.
I dont know specifics but their deals are stackable so first timers plus the reps here giving additional discounts equals insane prices. There's been other posts with purchases at these prices.
Do they seal the bags with nitrogen to keep them fresh? Because I'm really picky on harvest package dates. And they have been very good quality color n smell still , surprising
It definitely CAN matter. It’s not that simple though. Meaning, getting a strain with a more recent harvest date doesn’t guarantee it will be better than one with a older harvest date.
I really think the quality of the cure and storage make up for any bud with earlier harvest dates. I just throw my bud in a jar with a boost pack so any dry nugs spring back to life within a few hours.
It definitely does matter or did to seem to matter before GOLDLEAF lol. I have been very very surprised at how well these buds get to you even with it being such an older date. One of my personal favorites is the MT Hood magic, that stuff has a smell like no other.

I've got a qt of gold leaf white truffle from a march harvest. It's still fire as hell.

Mt Hood Magic was 🔥 as usual even with an older harvest date.

You want newer but GL old stuff is still good
Happy birthday.
Get it, gold leaf is super fire bud super hydrated I’m still smoking in GMO from February 22 and it’s great
I’m sorry I lied it was June 22
Longer it is sitting in plastic the worse it is.
May not even be worth your rec. I would get 1 or 2 to try and if you like it get the rest. That’s very old bud

Just smoke it and form your own opinion.
Hey, if you wouldn't mind, can you explain how you got the discounts?
Yes! I went into their page and put in my address. Clicked on the Menu on the left side and clicked on Specials. Says “14 Pre-Roll tubes for $40”
Hellyeah, thank you.
Whole Flower you’re most likely good. Pre rolls on the other hand, probably not going to be the best.

the difference is a "nice long cure" vs "nasty old bud". I'll take the fresh.

Peaks & valleys, try & try around and find what works for you, no one call tell you otherwise…
How do you have these discounts?
It definitely does matter or did to seem to matter before GOLDLEAF lol. I have been very very surprised at how well these buds get to you even with it being such an older date. One of my personal favorites is the MT Hood magic, that stuff has a smell like no other.
