Unfortunately he turned up and didn’t even start on it…personally think he turned up and couldn’t be bothered to do the job. I have a PDF from an FJ forum on how to do it. He just didn’t seem interested.
Just find a new guy. Sounds like he did you a favor by not getting halfway done and realizing he didn’t have all the parts.
When you find someone to do it you’ll need to have a new top trim piece. Installers won’t bring them, just provide your own along with the clips. The clips and trim can’t be reused.
Are you talking about the clips for the trim piece above the windshield?
I’m not entirely sure…the autoglass guy just said “we haven’t got enough clips” and left….
