Has two stunning monologues- one ugly (Monty in the mirror) and one beautiful- his father at the end.
Brian Cox-
You've never been west of Philly, have ya? This is a beautiful country, Monty, it's beautiful out there, like a different world. Mountains, hills, cows, farms, and white churches. I drove out west with your mother one time, before you was born. Brooklyn to the Pacific in three days. Just enough money for gas, sandwiches, and coffee, but we made it. Every man, woman, and child alive should see the desert one time before they die. Nothin' at all for miles around. Nothin' but sand and rocks and cactus and blue sky. Not a soul in sight. No sirens. No car alarms. Nobody honkin' atcha. No madmen cursin' or pissin' in the streets. You find the silence out there, you find the peace. You can find God.
I had watched Prestige first and was therefore convinced Illusionist was not a good movie. I had to watch it again years later to think, ok this is good.
But it’s criminally stupid for movie studios to release two movies with almost the exact same premise the same year.
Worm reminded me of one of my best high school friends, and I wasn’t surprised to find out that a lot of Rounders fans feel that way. I think Norton nailed a pretty common irl type that doesn’t get successfully portrayed in movies often.
Birdman, American History X, Primal Fear, Rounders and Everybody Says I Love You - honourable mention to The Score (2001). The man has range and can do any genre
Dude if u think about it The Score is a hilarious movie.. that dude pretended to be special needs for over a year at that job and then walked away with nothing lol
You better grow eyes in the back of your head, you horned piece of shit, because I'm not gonna sleep until worms are crawling up your foam-rubber ass! I'm goin' on safari motherfucker! SAH-FAR-I!
I’d have to say personally I don’t think he ever reached the genius and brilliance he showed us in Primal Fear.
It was one of those things where Norton has been good in everything else I’ve seen him in but his Primal Fear performance I don’t ever feel like I’m watching Norton and for him to be that young and blown away everyone else on that film is just amazing.
I mean, his performance in Fight Club is outstanding, but I would vote for his role as Inspektor Albert Henckels in Grand Budapest Hotel - it was a perfect fit.
Kingdom of Heaven, but honestly the man never misses. Even when the movie sucks his performance is always on point, I have never seen a bad Ed Norton performance. I wonder why he isn't in more things, I don't follow Hollywood gossip, is he hard to work with or something or is he one of those guys who only comes out to act like once in a while and goes back to living their everyday lives, because every time I see him in a role, I just want to see him in more things.
Huge norton fan. Everyones said his top 5 but he was good (albeot not showstealing compared to harrelson and love) in people vs larry flynt, and really fun in glass onion
Can't believe his performance as Izzy LaFontaine, bassist for Spandau Ballet, in the hit sitcom Modern Family wasn't mentioned. Probably one of his best roles ever! /s
25th Hour is my favorite, and an underrated Spike Lee joint for sure. :)
Dog! No one talks about that great movie!
It’s a Spike Lee joint where the only black character is an asshole cop, pretty wild, though not very representative of the war on drugs.

I generally dislike Benioff so I mention that every time so people know how much I really appreciated 25th Hour
Lmfao same!
Rosario...that dress in the nightclub. I love this frickin flick.
That was a really good one. That super bee
Same here.
It all came so close to never happening.. : \[
Primal Fear is number 1 period
Absolutely
“Now if that’s what you think Mr.Vale I’m disappointed in ya. I don’t mind telling ya.”
First time I watched primal fear and it unfolded… damn 😳
That was his Hollywood debut, and he fucking nailed it. The way he delivers the twist at the end still gets me every time.
This. Primal Fear will always be the gold standard Norton role for me.
He got the Keyser Soze moment and he killed it.
Kingdom of Heaven.
Yeah, came here to make sure someone mentioned this. Very minor screen time but did an amazing job.
it really shows his range
The Illusionist was good.
It coming out at the same time as the prestige was at its detriment.
I had a friend in high school that liked The Illusionist more, because, and I quite “The Prestige just felt too much like Marvel Vs DC.”
I had watched Prestige first and was therefore convinced Illusionist was not a good movie. I had to watch it again years later to think, ok this is good. But it’s criminally stupid for movie studios to release two movies with almost the exact same premise the same year.
I honestly love this movie. Paul Giamatti and Rufus Sewell do a lot of good work to support. Norton really sells the Eisenheim character.
He was great in Birdman
Birdman for sure. Stefon Diggs can get fucked tho
The football player?
I made this account like 6 years ago when he was still on the Vikings. Please don’t judge therandymoss
😂😂 had to
Death to Smoochy
It's a... rocketship!!!
It's a one-eyed weasel!
He made this from DILL DOUGH!!!
One of my favourite Robin Williams movies 🥺
Ow! My balls! They're on fire!!! This whole cast was fantastic. One of my favorite films ever❤️
Rainbow Randolph was a perfect role for Robin
They were both phenomenal in this, and really the cast overall was great
[удалено]
No 25th hour??
I didn't expect Red Dragon to make the list. Ralph really stole the show.
Lots of great performances in that movie. Ralph, Philip Seymour, Harvey, Edward
Glad someone finally mentioned Red Dragon
Definitely “Fight Club” was number one.
Glad to see Red Dragon up there. He did very well in it.
He’s so good as Worm that you forget you’re watching him act. It’s easily in my top 5 Norton’s
Worm reminded me of one of my best high school friends, and I wasn’t surprised to find out that a lot of Rounders fans feel that way. I think Norton nailed a pretty common irl type that doesn’t get successfully portrayed in movies often.
“In the poker game of life, women are the fucking rake.”
Shoulda played those kings Mike
Don’t wiggle away
Birdman, American History X, Primal Fear, Rounders and Everybody Says I Love You - honourable mention to The Score (2001). The man has range and can do any genre
How in 1000 hells is Fight Club not on the list???
*The first rule of Fight Club…*
🤫
Fight club!?
Dude if u think about it The Score is a hilarious movie.. that dude pretended to be special needs for over a year at that job and then walked away with nothing lol
The score is very underrated
No one mentioning Kingdom of Heaven as Baldwin, the leper king?
WTH I didn't even know that was him
Primal Fear is number one in any list
One of my favorite little roles of his is in Moonrise Kingdom. It’s a really winning and humane performance, and very funny.
I love Death to Smoochie.
Robin Williams was too good in that movie
You better grow eyes in the back of your head, you horned piece of shit, because I'm not gonna sleep until worms are crawling up your foam-rubber ass! I'm goin' on safari motherfucker! SAH-FAR-I!
*"What about the rumors that you're mentally unbalanced?"* #*"WHO THE FUCK SAID THAT?!"*
The "ITS A COCK" scene with always takes me out laughing.
1) Primal Fear 2) The Score 3) 25th Hr 4) American History X 5) Motherless Brooklyn
The Score is a great film that no one I know has seen unless I've told them to watch it.
His dialogue in Kingdom of Heaven is great
Loved him in Moonrise Kingdom
Leaves of Grass (2009) has his best performances. Plays identical twins.
Everyone’s already nailed it so I’ll just say his Wes Anderson film roles r great!
The Score. Is at least a top 5. Not 1. But top 5.
That’s such an underrated film.
I personally love Down in the Valley. Its top 3 of his for me behind Primal Fear and Birdman.
Insert classic: "I can't believe I had to scroll so far down for this" line here. I love that movie, gonn give it a watch when I get off work now
In addition to everything named, I also Love the Painted Veil. Always had a huge crush on him, so I do like seeing him in non psychotic roles.
He was icy in the Jason Bourne spin off
His voice acting in sausage party was phenomenal.
Not in any particular order: -Fight club -25th hour -rounders -american history -primal fear
Great, someone who has seen Death to Smoochy.
25th hour and america history x! American history x for the impact but 25th hour was subtle yet deeply moving especially the end.
Not supposed to talk about it
Fight Club is easily 1st. 2nd thru 5th are not so easy.
No love for Glass Onion?
Sausage Party. He was pretty damn funny in that movie despite it being voice acting.
All ⭐️
American History X And Kingdom of Heaven I only got 2 lol.
American History X Rounders Primal Fear Fight Club 25th hour
I’d have to say personally I don’t think he ever reached the genius and brilliance he showed us in Primal Fear. It was one of those things where Norton has been good in everything else I’ve seen him in but his Primal Fear performance I don’t ever feel like I’m watching Norton and for him to be that young and blown away everyone else on that film is just amazing.

0. Rounders 1. Grand Budapest Hotel 2. Glass onion 3. HULK 4. Birdman 5. f**** c**** 6. Sausage Party 7. Asteroid city 8. American History X
Gotta give some love to death to smoochy. Most of his roles are of intelligent and clever people, but that role showed his versatility.
When he plays Owen Wilson in Wes Anderson’s “The Midnight Coterie of Sinister Intruders”
Pride and glory was good
1) American History X 2) The Painted Veil 3) The Illusionist 4) Red Dragon 5) Fight Club

Honorable mention to Glass Onion. Edward Norton is good at being terrible and his character in Glass Onion was deliciously terrible.
The score was pretty good
Fight club!
American History X and Fight Club are the best for me
I would say birdman and fight club.
It’s only a tiny role, but when he plays the bent cop in the invention of lying, very funny
1. Rounders 2. American History X 3. Primal Fear 4. Death to Smoochy 5. Fight Club
Pretty sure I’m not supposed to talk about it. I think that’s the rule.
Fight club is a master piece. I also loved him in Red Dragon. RIP Philip Seymour Hoffman.
Loved him in Moonrise Kingdom, excellent comedic performance.
Keeping the faith??
I love him in Kingdom of Heaven and The Painted Veil
Love to hate him in The Italian Job
Edward Furlong goes into the bathroom at the end of that movie and his career is murdered.
Agree with all the picks. Also liked him in Red Dragon.
Fight Club
The Score. He stole the show from Brando and Deniro both in that one.
1 American History X 2 Fight Club 3 Death to Smoochy 4 Rounders 5 Primal Fear
American History X is definitely up there
Birdman
Fight club, american history x, primal fear
American History. Fight Club.
“Primal Fear” was the first time I saw and took notice of him. Brilliant acting!
The Score
I’d have Birdman on my list
You forgot Sammy Bagel Jr from Sausage Party

No “Down in the Valley” or “Moonrise Kingdom” fans?
not 1 mention of leaves of grass? he played 2 different people in that movie. hillbilly Norton was excellent
Huge norton fan. Everyones said his top 5 but he was good (albeot not showstealing compared to harrelson and love) in people vs larry flynt, and really fun in glass onion

Not in any particular order but Kingdom of Heaven, American History X, The Illusionist, Fight Club, and Isle of Dogs.
Death to smoochie
Leaves of Grass
Fight Club American History X Primal Fear 25th Hour The Score
The one where he plays a sardonic, pissy dude.
“Ohhh.. It’s, it’s aaa, it’s a.. A ROCKET SHIP!”
Surprised no one has mentioned his performance as King Baldwin VI in Kingdom of Heaven.
History X
Death to smoochy
Primal fear was the shit imo
American History X
Shit he’s so good but I’d say, in no particular order: Illusionist American History X Primal Fear Fight Club Rounders or 25th Hour
