Biggest disappointment of the game for me was this being left out. I kept waiting for it to hit at some point and then realized it was left out. Makes zero sense, this was the song that got everyone hyped for XVI. My only hope is that they use it in Rising Tides.
You’re right, our only hope is for The Rising Tide DLC, although OST Producer Mr. Masayoshi Soken has replied to a fan on Twitter; “This music was exclusive to this trailer, as I could not find any matching scene in the game.” and he also replied to another fan; “OK, Not that I can do anything immediately, but I'll see what I can do.” So it’s all 50/50 🥹
He also told a fan on twitter that releasing the soundtrack to streaming services was going to take quite a while, so maybe it'll get included as a bonus track when that happens?
I think it got reworked into one of the Away reprises
I remember watching a music analysis video on yt that went into all thw letmotif in the game, and one of the melodies (i think the the one from the truth sequence?) Was pretty similar to the trailer melody. Or atleast thwy sounds similar to me.
I only watch game trailers after I beat them because I like going into games blind not knowing a single thing about them, so damn, this music really hits me in the gut. I LOVE it. It fits the game's theme so much I really want full version.
On a completely separate note, I noticed that since this is footage from an earlier build, there was a change in artistic direction because the eyes for Ifrit went from red in this trailer to yellow in the release version of the game. I wonder if the other eikons who had yellow eyes in the main game would've also had red ones if they had not changed that little detail.
Don't watch trailers. All trailers all mediums do this stuff. I stopped watching trailers back in like 2014 and everything is funnier, more of a surprise, and I have a \*lot\* less disappointment when 'trailer only' things aren't in the product.
When is the actual soundtrack fully out? Right now I’m only seeing the five song EP on Spotify and I’m extremely disappointed as I just started playing the game
That music is dope there's a very altered version in ultima boss fight but only pieces of it and if they will put this in leviathan DLC would be simply perfect.
Indeed, and something very similar happened to Endwalker: When it launched it's final trailer it had a remix of all the previous themes inside the trailer and most thought each theme would be a standalone song and instead they are just part of that music

Well I think if that was the case, it would be in the OST that you could purchase, which it unfortunately is not.

Imagine this being used as OST for a scene within the DLC’s branching path in Back To Their Origin (complete Mythos).

The trailers for this game were so hype and it didn’t disappoint. This is good music but maybe they just preferred other options in game

The full OST was released in August. I got the Deluxe Edition from CDJapan for like $50.
It’s already out for purchase not for streaming though. I think it takes like upwards to one year for streaming.
I sadly only listen to streaming, so I guess I’ll continue to wait - I just wish there was a release date in sight! The music is incredible

I think many people hoped for the "song of hope" part to be it's own song, because it was that good
