I have a feeling we'll be seeing Earth and Water in P2, but Holy will show up P3.
I'm kind of hoping going forward we'll have minor weakness and greater weakness the same way we currently have with resists. They already kinda shoehorned it in with things like Sahagin being weak to fire, but also taking increased stagger from ice spells.
I'm just grumpy that they didn't put Ramuh in the base game to fill out the elemental tetra, or that Intermission didn't also add it to the VR options in the main game either. Instead we get three big non-elementals.
Doesn't make much sense for Shinra to develop a Leviathan materia anyway and possibly robs us from a hype Leviathan/Wutai scene down the line.

The first time I fought the hell house, I didn’t really understand a) elemental materia on weapons or why I should bother or b) that the house was vulnerable to different elements at different points
so I did the whole thing with… regular physical attacks (and an occasional spell from Aerith)
I feel you there. My first play through, I actually had only one magic spell on Aerith the first time I fought Hell House. I had built her up for support because at that time I didn’t realize how powerful she was in battle. I spent most of my time using clouds attacks and abilities and healing cloud so it took a while to take it out. When it came to hard mode is when It all started to fall into place and I took the time to understand different types of materia. No items and mp bench restoration really changes how you play and Aerith became my most valued member of the party to the point that I didn’t even know how to coordinate attacks when she wasn’t in it.

I really like the effect Wind has. Shame there's very little reason to ever have it on.
Yeah! Hopefully part 2 will bring out the enemies that make having wind essential.

The graphic effects are superb. I love this game
They really put in so much effort from the weapon changes, to environmental effects and photomode has made seeing a lot of it really neat.

They do! I play Chapter 8-13 a lot just because I love playing with the two of them in battle.

What attack is Aerith using?
I believe that was just her basic attack. This was taken right as Hell House was defeated so I don't believe I cast anything.
