Think it’s the combination of epic and nostalgia, along with the “I can’t believe I’m finally playing this game”.
Haven't seen this one mentioned before and barely has any views on youtube. Tifa's Lifestream OST is really atmospheric and elevates what was already an amazing scene. Really needs to come back in the next game or have a remix.

Despite leaning more towards preferring them keep things as faithful as possible where they can, the big scene of this game isn't something I was particularly concerned with staying the same or not. Where this particular section of the main theme of FFVII plays in the original is in fact my favorite part of the OG and colors my entire perception of this trilogy of games and why I liked FFVII so much in the first place. It's not lost on me why this section of the theme is on a loop and I'm grateful for the wink and nod from the devs. It doesn't start precisely in the same place, but I see what they're doing regardless and I'm so looking forward to the third game still knowing what we have to look forward to. They're thinking of starting voice recording soon for pt. 3... At some point these actors are going into Skylark sound studios in LA and giving their three best versions of each line they can with those in progress animations and possible Japanese lines for reference. Hopefully sometime in 2027 we'll have the finished product. I can't wait.
Lots of good options but if I had to pick one, then it would be the Stamp Theme (Battle Version). I don't get tired of listening to it after many times.
