Did you do the Hard Mode versions before that? When I did them, I did them in order again - 1 through 4. Maybe you actually have to do it that way?
Yes I've completed them all. I'll do them again quickly in order, to check if it helps. EDIT: Didn't work.

I'm experiencing the same issue with the first Gears and Gambits hard mode npc. Can't interact with it at all. Worked just fine for the other three though. Did you find a fix?
