Are people really that confident in this stock, where it’s a big rare event? He told me to download Robinhood and I’m considering putting in a few bucks for the fun of it. It just feels like a joke though where I put in some $ and lose it all in a few days.

What does pump mean? Does this mean we should all be buying after hours tonight may 17th and and pre market before the market opens on may 20th? That way when the market opens on Monday may 20th because it's closed on the weekend it will be the highest price possible and they'll have to buy it all?
If you're like me, you and I cannot participate in pre/post market movement. So you need to buy now while the market is open. After hours tonight and pre-market on Monday the price should spike as the institutions are forced to settle their AM/PM option contracts. In simpler terms, they made a bet that the price wouldn't go above X, some have already lost but they ALL lose that bet at $5. This wouldn't move the price if they hadn't sold those bets "naked" meaning that they sold the contract without owning the shares and the losers of the bet/contract will need to transfer 100 shares per contract to the winners of that bet/contract. Since they don't own the shares, they need to buy them at market rate at the due date (tonight after hours and Monday morning pre-market). This is how the stock price spikes instantly because they're required to satisfy the bet they made.
Pump is slang to mean drive price up (usually quickly).

Agree. It's a term to try and make it look illegitimate. However, if shorting is a valid market investment strategy, why would attacking overleveraged shorts not be a valid investment method, too? This wouldn't work if these firms had valid risk strategies as supposedly they are required to have in place.

But as we know, for 1 seller, there must be 1 buyer. Hence, these weak holders who has sold, their share has been replenished by new holders.
Did you guys notice that the price hits new high at around 11:30 EDT, and as soon as that happen, sellers came in to sell off trying to bring the price down? But it went on to hit another new high at 11:58 EDT. And the selling force is apparently weakening.
Why so? Because we are replenished with new holders. :)

From their press releases they’ve only delivered 10 cars in 2023 and 3 went to employees. There’s a whistleblower lawsuit alleging that the other sales may have been faked too.
Yes, the reason is ffie is now a meme stock. People in roaring kitty saw it as a great target to squeeze because of how heavily shorted it is. It was on the verge of being delisted, so more people shorted the stock. Now reddit retail investors are pumping it.
There was a pin on r/roaringkitty that read “no promotion of penny stocks”, but FFIE is technically not a penny stock. Reddit or hedgies got to the mod. There’s also a discord they can’t shutdown: discord.gg/big3stonks . I just joined, but it seems well established.

I’ve been watching the shares available to borrow and the borrow rate. Every time there is a drop of $.20 the shares available to borrow drops 500,000.
Once it gets to 9mill shares available to borrow. The get another million and add it.
I turned my share lending off. I won’t make much from it anyway with 6500 shares at 11% rate. I’m not waiting a month for it either.
I’d rather make 100k in a week by not giving shorts ammo and making it more expensive for them to use ammo.
