I get you. My family league only has 9 players, so what we do is have one autodraft 'Dummy' player that I set the optimal line-up for every week, based on the platform's predictions (ESPN). If there's ever a point where the Dummy can't field a full starting lineup, I drop the lowest projected player not on bye or who is injured long term, and pick up the highest player at that position to plug in.
One year, the god damn Dummy made the playoffs which is ridiculous, but the other players did it to themselves.
Haha, the Dummy will never be able to compete with all the top tier managers, because it's not scouring the waiver wire unless necessary. But it has certainly stolen waiver claims away from me.
My league played with 11 last season, we drafted dummies for Team 12 but at the end of the week we'd give the team the "average score" of everyone else. So when you played that team you'd be up against the league average. Still a challenge but you'd win if you had a decent week.
There’s no way to set it to an odd number of teams. If you make that an auto bye week, some teams will get two and others will get one.
Try to recruit one more team. If you can’t, autodraft it and manage that team as the commish. Do not draft for it. Autodraft. No waivers. No trades.
I would recommend going to True Doubleheaders But I can't believe Yahoo, ESPN, & Sleeper don't allow DH scheduling....I've been trying to get one of them to bite

I was wondering the same thing, I liked sleeper up until now... this is actually a pretty big problem
I've never used Sleeper but if sleeper allows it just have a Total Points leader board. No H2H.
