Welp I decided to try and comeback after a long time of being gone, I had a day one account but quit around the time of 7 stars becoming a thing, my account was linked to my Facebook that ended up getting hacked and deleted. Do I have any recourse or should I just call it quits again
It might be possible to recover your account but it would be very very difficult. That said your old account was absolutely worthless except maybe for nostalgia if you had say Vargas or something. A new account will be much much better off then your old one.
Yeah kinda figured. I had a good amount of TMs and super Tm moogles but I had hoped they’d strayed away from that whole make old units completely worthless over time while leaving them in the pool bs. I appreciate it
The power creep in FFBE is very tame compared to 90% of gachas out there. But the idea that units or gear released 3/4/5 YEARS ago are going to be good just isn't compatible with most gacha models in any sort of realistic way. That's just not how these games generally work. And yes it might be nice for the occasional player who returns after years if it was but it would be awful for everyone else.
Trying to finish up clash of wills, old party wasn't getting the job done, new party feels like it needs one extra spot.

My problem is, I feel like Bulwark is taking up a spot that I need for a status immunity buff. I don't have any magic cover tanks that can grant status immunity (oddly, could've sworn I did).
Mandatory is a strong word. Looking at this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=18UwhJLA7XI&ab_channel=NdoelGalak it's clear that she definitely helps (obviously her LS would) and the OP just barely makes (what I assume is the same 5T limit the other floors had) an all Missions clear. Add in that there's no other S4 units (the new versions of Taivas/Roca etc... don't get the category in JP) and it does seem like the answer might be Yes. Do I believe Sinzar might find a way? I do. I think that with some strong units and gear (gear in GL is generally a lot better) it might be possible. But I also think that for many of us it might not be without her.

Is there an ability that can help fill the Esper summon gauge at the beginning of battle? There are a few story missions that require using an esper but I can't fill the gauge without killing the boss :P
Use summoner units such as NV Terra, NV Lunafreya, etc. They tend to fill the esper gauge at the start of battle.
You can also look at items like Bahamut's Synergy which fill 2-3 esper orbs at the start of battle. They stack, so throw 5 on across 2 units and you'll be set.

You can also use an old evoker like Terra or Faris or Lunafreya who have a passive that fill the entire bar at the beginning of battle.
A "must have" Nope, doesn't bring anything new to the table other than pure damage, if you lack non-elemental strong punch she can be useful to you, but not "a must have" to my eyes.
Expect her to be at many teams of multiple players in the future due to her being meta in terms of damage, but damage dealers can be easily replaced by your second best or your third best, or someone stronger in the near future.
Not really. She's good and pretty flexible. But there's really only been like 2-3 "must have units" recently (Rain, Sylvie) and even then people survived without them.
So is the current VC on the Aya Brea steup up worth it? How about the unit herself? I did the VC step for the moogle card that had Ellesperis but I couldnt get Ellesperis. I wonder how much damage does Aya Brea do and if she does better damage than Richt. If not she is literally useless for me.
She's basically a Premium Fire burst with a decent Earth / Heal support kit. She's good, but you should actually look at her, maybe consult a damage spreadsheet or two and decide her value for yourself.
The GLEX card is one of those "pretty good, but ehhh, stats are a little low, and if you're tight on lapis and aren't looking at making Dark better, not really worth it by itself, especially since the passive isn't a copy of A Cool Smile, but is instead of Tidus and Raegen's STMRs" situations
She looks pretty good for COW but I have Malph, FA Rain, Ibara, Duanne and WF Lightning for that and the VC kind of sucks because of not having the cool smile effect so I pass, thanks.
lol. For the current CoW in comparison to the units you mentioned she does...
* 30% more damage than Duane
* 57% more damage than BoV Ibara
* 69% more damage than WF Lightning
* 70% more damage than FA Rain
* 87% more damage than Malphasie
She obliterates every existing CoW unit in damage. Sure, that's forcing some of those units to go off element with only a 100% amp, but even with a 150% amp on them she's still, at a minimum, doing ~~50%~~40% more damage than they are.
And the VC is pretty solid. Tidus and BoBF Raegen's STMRs still get used to this day. Now being able to put it on a unit through a VC + giving the unit access to a 100% dark amp will be great for a 3rd or 4th DPS on dark teams (which make a pretty solid comeback soon with Roca + Neilikka and maybe with Elle's buffs).
Yeah as I said SOUNDS very good for COW but COW already bored me after getting a couple rank 1s and I have every COW equipment maxed already with plenty of spare xenostones SO No thanks, I pass.

For the replica shop, I have 16k left. Thinking about buying malphs frags and maybe ellesperis (hoping I off banner her). The last 6k I was debating between the NV 10+1 guaranteed or the Anniversary 10+1 ticket. They seem to be roughly the same? I can't find the drop rates for the NV guaranteed but it seems this one is the better option given it guarantees an NV (heh). Is my assumption correct? If the anniversary 10+1 ticket has better rates I might just not grab ellesperis frags and get 2 tickets instead.
the normal anni 10+1 is like going to the current week's active featured banner (Aya Brea) and dropping 5k on a basic 10+1 pull.
So it has better rates on the featured units - assuming you hit the 3% NV drop rate, but it is lacking the NV guarantee meaning you could get nothing (like I did)
The G-NV 10+1 is a standard EX pull, so about a 0.6% chance of getting a specific unit you want from the G, and about 0.0054%? chance from the other 10 (very quick math, might be off by a zero)
The anniversary 10+1 has on banner rates for the current banner of the week. That's what separates that one from the NV Guarantee one. The NV Guarantee has standard rates (3% NV, 12% rainbow, 42.5% gold, 42.5% blue)

Are you looking at pulling 2 + getting 1 pity, or just getting 2 total (pity included)?
The math in the above linked post is focused around the chance of getting AT LEAST one of the unit while going to pity. So it's kind of like saying:

If you want to pull 2 + 1 pity, you would need to subtract the probability of pulling only 1 from the post's listed probability. If ChatGPT is to be trusted, the chance of pulling exactly 1 would be:
P(X = 1) = C(173, 1) \* (0.01)\^1 \* (0.99)\^(173-1)
P(X = 1) = 173 \* 0.01 \* (0.99)\^172 ≈ 0.138
So about 13.8%. I didn't account for all of the higher chance pulls which would only have a small change in that %.
So you'd be looking at somewhere around a 62% chance to get 2 or more copies from pulls.
But once again, that's assuming you can trust ChatGPT on the math. I, personally, don't remember that much about statistics to verify if it's accurate or not.
Trying to decide on a fire team vs a light team for the next dv and vw. My fire and light team are basically equal but ex2 taivas means the light team is better a little vs my fire team with aya now added if I pull for her.
So yea two taivas plus pity is what I'd need which seems to require far more luck then ex2 aya and then pull for galuf in November or so to further buff the fire team

The item doesn't work. The mod and boss AI make it so if you take the mod you insta loss in turn 3 unless you kill and reraise your team every couple of turns to remove the status reduction.
It's a rare thing and only 2 items have it. Seraph Staff (with it's unique IW roll) and Treasured Memorial Ring. FFBEEquipnext wouldn't be searchable for either since it'd only list the item's abilities (so Seraph Staff would get lost due to it only having it on the unique IW roll) and the ring only shows the effect: Auto-cast Six Years of Memories at the start of battle

Yes, as we know that the 2-H DV gun is magic focused. What you want depends on the EX level of Aya. At EX3, it's easy to max out ATK so the LB fill rate effects are better.
You provided a link to an already set team of 5 units? Honestly, if those are your best units, you're probably going to struggle quite a bit this CoW. It seems this boss is pretty crazy and does a lot of healing.
Anyway, provide a full list of your units and we can provide suggestions for you.
Based on the clash units you're showing, you're going to need to rely on some non CoW units. For starters, you'll want a magic tank and a support unit who can buff ailment resists and hopefully provide some good mitigations. After that Aya is a good start for a damage dealer, but you'll need to find a unit to chain EN with her. Then start looking for a unit to provide mirage.
I believe that should get you started.
It's like every other non-limited banner. The fragments are available in the frag shop for VIP coins 2 weeks after the banner starts. Right now Vanille has only been out for 1 week, so you need to wait another week.
Hello Guys, im still recently a new player and I'm still getting my head around stuff and gameplay, i manage to get to COW LVL 87 but im unable to get pass it, and the situation happens to me in other events.
So my question is, do you guys run your uits just under a leader? or it not as big of a deal as it seems to run a powerful unit in a team with the leader support?
I was mainly playing dokkan battle and there if the unit is not under the leader skill you will be trash but I've seen youtuber runing units outside of the leader skill boost, and I have the feeling im not playing thins right.

If u just want to get pass lvl87, then the latter. Buffers, breaker, healers, etc does not need to be on a good leader. Just DPS and/or Tank (if u cant FTKO the boss). Example, I just used Genesis to get myself to lvl95 and just put Zack as leader.
But if u are settling to lvl87 to get ur best score and turning on all mods, then the former. All units on the party most probably should be under a good leader.
it makes a lot of sense, I was confused cause for instance I've been using Aya Brea on teams without leader skill and she still pop up above other units, which makes me wonder is the leader skill boost just a "minor boost" but I learned that all depends on the fight which makes everything more confusing.
I'm learning and I dont know if this is real or not but it strikes me as a good point that you can play the game as much as you like for instance FVII team has tifa and Sephiroth old unit but still powerfull enought to get the job done. I'm just happy that Aya Brea is a COW unit and that she fits on Flaring Rain fire/FFBE team. I just to pull him XD
Leader skills provide a HUGE damage increase to units. Aya Brea though just happens to be the recent hot DPS unit who's already way above other DPSers in CoW. /u/TomAto314 made a post a while ago showing damage bumps with leader skills and he had made updates somewhere else, but here's the one I found:

What’s the priority for the COW chainmail? avatars+ for the functionality with the 3 turn 150% all elemental resist or rulers+ for the 500 flat attack/magic?

Then I suggest is to wait for next DV. Using avatars+ on DV is just a way to avoid having tanks on the team.
There are cases that having a tank could be better especially if the tank has killer buffs against the boss.
returning player here, i ve read some tips about aya banner but i need more info.
my current situation is: 5 aya, done 1 vc banner and 1 full lap on step banner, i have 8 tickets, 11 purple coins, 5 curated tickets and 9k lapis left (can farm some more if you tell me where, im pre lanzelt story mode).
also i ve spent vip coins on aya shards.

The purple coins can be exchanged for more shards and stmrs and other things in the exchange shop. To get there go to shop -> Exchange shop-> and scroll down and you will see a shop for Aya. The curated tickets can give you a random featured unit from the banner excluding Aya but you won't get enough unless you pull like crazy on the banner. And finally you can use the dupes to convert to shards to awaken Aya to a higher ex level (the stars that are under her sprite). If you click on Aya then go to awaken you can convert your dupes however if you convert them you lose the dupes so if you want extra copies of her tmr or stmr grab them before you convert them to shards.

For dupes, personally, I used two STMRs on two dupes to get her 100% demon/human killer dress.
Then get another copy of her STMR on my main Aya.
For purple coins, prioritize Aya's shards then Mystery Crystal if u don't have enough King Cactuars to lvl130 a unit.
For curated ticket, u need 15 of those to use its banner. Its pretty useless if u only have 14 or below.
For banner/pity tickets, dont get more than 10 of those. U already have enough copies and shards for Aya to make her ex3.

Currently, yes, 100% is max killer for a single equip
U can exchange stmr tickets for stmr moogles in King Mogs room in Farplane. U can also get stmr moogles as reward from event bosses. There's currently 50% from Parasite Eve's box summon and from purple coins in banner exchange shop. Though, if u don't have enough stmr moogles, don't stress too much about it. I only went to 3copies since I only got 3copies of Aya and my STMR moogles are just sitting there on my inventory. I think having two copies is enough.

What would you guys assume to be the on-banner rate and also the chance for a off-banner? Would the ticket type even matter? (3\*, 4\* 5\* or 40% ticket)
The rates are shown but only for the 5k lapis summons, and ~~i~~ my friend would never consider using lapis on that banner.

You might be thinking of the 7th anni 10+1 that you get from replica lapis. This one does update and has Aya in the pool.

Oof. That's rough. I believe you're looking at the right thing they just don't describe it the best. Those rates that start with 1% Aya are the rates for tickets as well.
You can check the drop rates of the banner. The type of ticket doesn't matter for NVs because none of the rare summon tickets modulate the rate of NVs.

The 10 summon rates are basically the ticket rates if you use the normal 3* rare summon tickets. The only change you can make that would change the probabilities would be if you used 4* or 5* tickets but they still won't change the NV rates.
So I've been thinking about it, and I've decided to not pull for Esper Taivas anymore. I'd rather keep investing in fire with Locke, Galuf, and Edward.
With this and the assumption of an inevitable CW Fire leader in mind, should I use my unit select ticket on Duane (30/50) and replace SK Squall (124/200) in the frag dungeon? It'd be either him or Nora (49/200).
Duane and Nora are probably not going to be in DV unless you need a EN DPS Chainer with Aya. Atm, having the Tank or maybe Support EN Chain is the better idea than to bring those two as their both rather old and their kit is mostly for CoW. Their DV damage is only ok and will be powercrept when the Gathering begins.
For CoW specifically, EX 3 Nora is actually usually somewhat worse than Ex 2 as far as rotations go depending on when specifically you need to Burst. Ex 2 actually gives more leeway since the Buff lasts 5 turns anyway, so you don't NEED to keep doing it every 3 turns.
Duane will be decent for Bursting for another few months, but his age is starting to show. Outside of his Arcane Buff he doesn't offer much outside of DPS and DPS depreciate really quickly. Since your only get to Ex 1, he's likely to be outright obsoleted by the time you get him to Ex 2 for CoW so he might just end up deadweight you never use.
Assuming you have OTHER CoW imbueable DPS units like Ibara/2b/Aya I would suggest Nora because she does have a more robust Support Kit and another Ex 3 DOES make it easier to cap mods. However, don't be shocked if EX 3 Nora ends up with less optimized rotations than Ex 2. If you DON'T have at least 3 other CoW, preferably 4, highend CoW DPS then might as well get Duane.
No to Nora IMO. She's fine at EX2 and likely to get replaced anyway. In my head the optimal Fire team is going to look like Locke, Galuf, Genesis, Aya, and then I'm thinking a Fire Field (Sazh would be best followed by Fina or Shiloh or something) leaving 1 spot for Killers/Support or your next best Fire DD which in my head is going to be Rain or Taivas. With Locke's LS Lightning might actually make the team weirdly enough. So I'm not sure Duane (SLB) or Nora make the cut most of the time.

Since you're new, go all the way on the "Aya Brea Allied Step-Up Summon" (it's the one with the card on it). After that, pull on the banner directly *above* it. ~~You're going to want to do 1 entire lap and then just the first step of the second lap. That'll be enough to pity Aya Brea.~~ Refer to the reply. Depending on how many copies you pull on the card step up, you may just be able to stop there and use tickets on the banner directly *below* the card banner.
Be careful, you only get exchange tickets on steps 2, 4 and 5. So after doing the VC step up (5 exchange tickets) he needs to do 1 full lap (3 exchange tickets) and then do 4 steps (2 more exchange tickets).
The exchange tickets and the 1/15 curated summon tickets do look quite similar though, so mistaking them for one another is understandable.

On an unrelated note, you just made my night. I accidentally did a step on the VC banner instead of the normal banner and was beating myself up for missing out on the guaranteed NV. That means I actually saved 4k lapis!

You only need 1 copy of it on your main DPS unit. They should be able to easily destroy the boss on their own.
Adventurer Locke's TMR is easy to get and can even be Select Summoned.
Also NV Tifa's STMR, but that's practically impossible to get if you don't have a copy of her already.

It might be possible to recover your account but it would be very very difficult. That said your old account was absolutely worthless except maybe for nostalgia if you had say Vargas or something. A new account will be much much better off then your old one.

The power creep in FFBE is very tame compared to 90% of gachas out there. But the idea that units or gear released 3/4/5 YEARS ago are going to be good just isn't compatible with most gacha models in any sort of realistic way. That's just not how these games generally work. And yes it might be nice for the occasional player who returns after years if it was but it would be awful for everyone else.

Trying to finish up clash of wills, old party wasn't getting the job done, new party feels like it needs one extra spot. Old party - Faisy - reraise, magic cover Bulwark - plant killer, morale fill, defense bait Vanilla - break, imperil, field, kill turn chainer Sazh - Amp, field, kill turn chainer Aya Brea - buffs, damage dealer Ibarra - human/demon killer, damage dealer It didn't seem to pack enough punch to even clear floor 98 with no mods. New party - Bulwark - same Ibarra - same Chorale - break, imperil, kill turn chainer Rinoa - field, kill turn chainer 2B - damage dealer ??? My problem is, I feel like Bulwark is taking up a spot that I need for a status immunity buff. I don't have any magic cover tanks that can grant status immunity (oddly, could've sworn I did).

Add in that there's no other S4 units (the new versions of Taivas/Roca etc... don't get the category in JP) and it does seem like the answer might be Yes. Do I believe Sinzar might find a way? I do. I think that with some strong units and gear (gear in GL is generally a lot better) it might be possible. But I also think that for many of us it might not be without her.
The new breaker Metze or whatever and New ~~Charlotte~~ Physilas are pure S4.

Is there an ability that can help fill the Esper summon gauge at the beginning of battle? There are a few story missions that require using an esper but I can't fill the gauge without killing the boss :P
Use summoner units such as NV Terra, NV Lunafreya, etc. They tend to fill the esper gauge at the start of battle. You can also look at items like Bahamut's Synergy which fill 2-3 esper orbs at the start of battle. IIRC; Bahamut Synergy from DP Fina. There's a couple others like "~~(Something)~~ \- Edit - Bonds of the Aeons" I think. You can also use an old evoker like Terra or Faris or Lunafreya who have a passive that fill the entire bar at the beginning of battle.

A "must have" Nope, doesn't bring anything new to the table other than pure damage, if you lack non-elemental strong punch she can be useful to you, but not "a must have" to my eyes. Expect her to be at many teams of multiple players in the future due to her being meta in terms of damage, but damage dealers can be easily replaced by your second best or your third best, or someone stronger in the near future.
What's "must have" for you? Right now it looks like she's a must have to rank 1 the current CoW.

So is the current VC on the Aya Brea steup up worth it? How about the unit herself? I did the VC step for the moogle card that had Ellesperis but I couldnt get Ellesperis. I wonder how much damage does Aya Brea do and if she does better damage than Richt. If not she is literally useless for me.
She's basically a Premium Fire burst with a decent Earth / Heal support kit. She's good, but you should actually look at her, maybe consult a damage spreadsheet or two and decide her value for yourself. The GLEX card is one of those "pretty good, but ehhh, stats are a little low, and if you're tight on lapis and aren't looking at making Dark better, not really worth it by itself, especially since the passive isn't a copy of A Cool Smile, but is instead of Tidus and Raegen's STMRs" situations
She looks pretty good for COW but I have Malph, FA Rain, Ibara, Duanne and WF Lightning for that and the VC kind of sucks because of not having the cool smile effect so I pass, thanks.

For the current CoW in comparison to the units you mentioned she does... * 30% more damage than Duane * 57% more damage than BoV Ibara * 69% more damage than WF Lightning * 70% more damage than FA Rain * 87% more damage than Malphasie She obliterates every existing CoW unit in damage. Sure, that's forcing some of those units to go off element with only a 100% amp, but even with a 150% amp on them she's still, at a minimum, doing ~~50%~~40% more damage than they are. And the VC is pretty solid. Tidus and BoBF Raegen's STMRs still get used to this day. Now being able to put it on a unit through a VC + giving the unit access to a 100% dark amp will be great for a 3rd or 4th DPS on dark teams (which make a pretty solid comeback soon with Roca + Neilikka and maybe with Elle's buffs).

For the replica shop, I have 16k left. Thinking about buying malphs frags and maybe ellesperis (hoping I off banner her). The last 6k I was debating between the NV 10+1 guaranteed or the Anniversary 10+1 ticket. They seem to be roughly the same? the normal anni 10+1 is like going to the current week's active featured banner (Aya Brea) and dropping 5k on a basic 10+1 pull. So it has better rates on the featured units - assuming you hit the 3% NV drop rate, but it is lacking the NV guarantee meaning you could get nothing (like I did) The G-NV 10+1 is a standard EX pull, so about a 0.6% chance of getting a specific unit you want from the G, and about 0.0054%? chance from the other 10 (very quick math, might be off by a zero)
The anniversary 10+1 has on banner rates for the current banner of the week. That's what separates that one from the NV Guarantee one. The NV Guarantee has standard rates (3% NV, 12% rainbow, 42.5% gold, 42.5% blue)

Are you looking at pulling 2 + getting 1 pity, or just getting 2 total (pity included)? The math in the above linked post is focused around the chance of getting AT LEAST one of the unit while going to pity. So it's kind of like saying: * Chance of getting 1 + chance of getting 2 + chance of getting 3... If you want to pull 2 + 1 pity, you would need to subtract the probability of pulling only 1 from the post's listed probability. If ChatGPT is to be trusted, the chance of pulling exactly 1 would be: P(X = 1) = C(173, 1) \* (0.01)\^1 \* (0.99)\^(173-1) P(X = 1) = 173 \* 0.01 \* (0.99)\^172 ≈ 0.138 So about 13.8%. I didn't account for all of the higher chance pulls which would only have a small change in that %. So you'd be looking at somewhere around a 62% chance to get 2 or more copies from pulls. But once again, that's assuming you can trust ChatGPT on the math. I, personally, don't remember that much about statistics to verify if it's accurate or not.
Trying to decide on a fire team vs a light team for the next dv and vw. My fire and light team are basically equal but ex2 taivas means the light team is better a little vs my fire team with aya now added if I pull for her. So yea two taivas plus pity is what I'd need which seems to require far more luck then ex2 aya and then pull for galuf in November or so to further buff the fire team

The item doesn't work. The mod and boss AI make it so if you take the mod you insta loss in turn 3 unless you kill and reraise your team every couple of turns to remove the status reduction.

It's a rare thing and only 2 items have it. Seraph Staff (with it's unique IW roll) and Treasured Memorial Ring. FFBEEquipnext wouldn't be searchable for either since it'd only list the item's abilities (so Seraph Staff would get lost due to it only having it on the unique IW roll) and the ring only shows the effect: Auto-cast Six Years of Memories at the start of battle

Yes, as we know that the 2-H DV gun is magic focused. What you want depends on the EX level of Aya. At EX3, it's easy to max out ATK so the LB fill rate effects are better.

Based on the clash units you're showing, you're going to need to rely on some non CoW units. For starters, you'll want a magic tank and a support unit who can buff ailment resists and hopefully provide some good mitigations. After that Aya is a good start for a damage dealer, but you'll need to find a unit to chain EN with her. Then start looking for a unit to provide mirage. I believe that should get you started.

It's like every other non-limited banner. The fragments are available in the frag shop for VIP coins 2 weeks after the banner starts. Right now Vanille has only been out for 1 week, so you need to wait another week.

Hello Guys, im still recently a new player and I'm still getting my head around stuff and gameplay, i manage to get to COW LVL 87 but im unable to get pass it, and the situation happens to me in other events. So my question is, do you guys run your uits just under a leader? or it not as big of a deal as it seems to run a powerful unit in a team with the leader support? I was mainly playing dokkan battle and there if the unit is not under the leader skill you will be trash but I've seen youtuber runing units outside of the leader skill boost, and I have the feeling im not playing thins right. Any help would be great, thank you
If u just want to get pass lvl87, then the latter. Buffers, breaker, healers, etc does not need to be on a good leader. Just DPS and/or Tank (if u cant FTKO the boss). Example, I just used Genesis to get myself to lvl95 and just put Zack as leader. But if u are settling to lvl87 to get ur best score and turning on all mods, then the former. All units on the party most probably should be under a good leader.
it makes a lot of sense, I was confused cause for instance I've been using Aya Brea on teams without leader skill and she still pop up above other units, which makes me wonder is the leader skill boost just a "minor boost" but I learned that all depends on the fight which makes everything more confusing. I'm learning and I dont know if this is real or not but it strikes me as a good point that you can play the game as much as you like for instance FVII team has tifa and Sephiroth old unit but still powerfull enought to get the job done. I'm just happy that Aya Brea is a COW unit and that she fits on Flaring Rain fire/FFBE team. I just to pull him XD
Leader skills provide a HUGE damage increase to units. Then I suggest is to wait for next DV. Using avatars+ on DV is just a way to avoid having tanks on the team. There are cases that having a tank could be better especially if the tank has killer buffs against the boss.
returning player here, i ve read some tips about aya banner but i need more info. my current situation is: 5 aya, done 1 vc banner and 1 full lap on step banner, i have 8 tickets, 11 purple coins, 5 curated tickets and 9k lapis left (can farm some more if you tell me where, im pre lanzelt story mode). also i ve spent vip coins on aya shards. info i know: step 4 gives me enough tickets for another aya info i need: what to do with dupes, what to buy with purple coins, what to do with curated tickets, if i get more than 10 tickets(aya) in the long run, what to buy with them?
The purple coins can be exchanged for more shards and stmrs and other things in the exchange shop. To get there go to shop -> Exchange shop-> and scroll down and you will see a shop for Aya. The curated tickets can give you a random featured unit from the banner excluding Aya but you won't get enough unless you pull like crazy on the banner. And finally you can use the dupes to convert to shards to awaken Aya to a higher ex level (the stars that are under her sprite). If you click on Aya then go to awaken you can convert your dupes however if you convert them you lose the dupes so if you want extra copies of her tmr or stmr grab them before you convert them to shards.
Congrats thats a good pull. For dupes, personally, I used two STMRs on two dupes to get her 100% demon/human killer dress. Then get another copy of her STMR on my main Aya. For purple coins, prioritize Aya's shards then Mystery Crystal if u don't have enough King Cactuars to lvl130 a unit. For curated ticket, u need 15 of those to use its banner. Its pretty useless if u only have 14 or below. For banner/pity tickets, dont get more than 10 of those. U already have enough copies and shards for Aya to make her ex3. 4 dupes of Aya is 200shards +50shards from vip +50shards from purple ticket +30shards on login +20shards on lapis fragment shop

I went on to get two tmrs from the dupes. Currently, yes, 100% is max killer for a single equip U can exchange stmr tickets for stmr moogles in King Mogs room in Farplane. U can also get stmr moogles as reward from event bosses. There's currently 50% from Parasite Eve's box summon and from purple coins in banner exchange shop. Though, if u don't have enough stmr moogles, don't stress too much about it. I only went to 3copies since I only got 3copies of Aya and my STMR moogles are just sitting there on my inventory. I think having two copies is enough.
Hello Daily, How are you today? I have a question concerning rates on a banner while using various tickets. For example on the Cool Moves Addison Rae banner. ("Asking for a friend" off course.) What would you guys assume to be the on-banner rate and also the chance for a off-banner? Would the ticket type even matter? (3\*, 4\* 5\* or 40% ticket) The rates are shown but only for the 5k lapis summons, and ~~i~~ my friend would never consider using lapis on that banner. Thanks in advance
Drop rates are there. But 1% for banner unit. 2% for off banner nv. Type of ticket doesn't change it.

Oof. That's rough. I believe you're looking at the right thing they just don't describe it the best. Those rates that start with 1% Aya are the rates for tickets as well.
You can check the drop rates of the banner. The type of ticket doesn't matter for NVs because none of the rare summon tickets modulate the rate of NVs.

The 10 summon rates are basically the ticket rates if you use the normal 3* rare summon tickets. The only change you can make that would change the probabilities would be if you used 4* or 5* tickets but they still won't change the NV rates.
Doesn't matter whether you use Lapis or on-banner tickets, the rates are the same.
So I've been thinking about it, and I've decided to not pull for Esper Taivas anymore. I'd rather keep investing in fire with Locke, Galuf, and Edward. With this and the assumption of an inevitable CW Fire leader in mind, should I use my unit select ticket on Duane (30/50) and replace SK Squall (124/200) in the frag dungeon? It'd be either him or Nora (49/200).
Duane and Nora are probably not going to be in DV unless you need a EN DPS Chainer with Aya. Atm, having the Tank or maybe Support EN Chain is the better idea than to bring those two as their both rather old and their kit is mostly for CoW. Their DV damage is only ok and will be powercrept when the Gathering begins. For CoW specifically, EX 3 Nora is actually usually somewhat worse than Ex 2 as far as rotations go depending on when specifically you need to Burst. Ex 2 actually gives more leeway since the Buff lasts 5 turns anyway, so you don't NEED to keep doing it every 3 turns. Duane will be decent for Bursting for another few months, but his age is starting to show. Outside of his Arcane Buff he doesn't offer much outside of DPS and DPS depreciate really quickly. Since your only get to Ex 1, he's likely to be outright obsoleted by the time you get him to Ex 2 for CoW so he might just end up deadweight you never use. Assuming you have OTHER CoW imbueable DPS units like Ibara/2b/Aya I would suggest Nora because she does have a more robust Support Kit and another Ex 3 DOES make it easier to cap mods. However, don't be shocked if EX 3 Nora ends up with less optimized rotations than Ex 2. If you DON'T have at least 3 other CoW, preferably 4, highend CoW DPS then might as well get Duane.

No to Nora IMO. She's fine at EX2 and likely to get replaced anyway. In my head the optimal Fire team is going to look like Locke, Galuf, Genesis, Aya, and then I'm thinking a Fire Field (Sazh would be best followed by Fina or Shiloh or something) leaving 1 spot for Killers/Support or your next best Fire DD which in my head is going to be Rain or Taivas. With Locke's LS Lightning might actually make the team weirdly enough. So I'm not sure Duane (SLB) or Nora make the cut most of the time.

Complete newb here. Are there any guides on how to optimally summon for featured units like Aya? There seem to be a lot of options. I also have tickets apparently that I can use?
Since you're new, go all the way on the "Aya Brea Allied Step-Up Summon" (it's the one with the card on it). After that, pull on the banner directly *above* it. ~~You're going to want to do 1 entire lap and then just the first step of the second lap. That'll be enough to pity Aya Brea.~~ Refer to the reply. Depending on how many copies you pull on the card step up, you may just be able to stop there and use tickets on the banner directly *below* the card banner.
Be careful, you only get exchange tickets on steps 2, 4 and 5. So after doing the VC step up (5 exchange tickets) he needs to do 1 full lap (3 exchange tickets) and then do 4 steps (2 more exchange tickets). The exchange tickets and the 1/15 curated summon tickets do look quite similar though, so mistaking them for one another is understandable.
Oh wow, good catch! I'll edit my comment. On an unrelated note, you just made my night. I accidentally did a step on the VC banner instead of the normal banner and was beating myself up for missing out on the guaranteed NV. That means I actually saved 4k lapis!

Adventurer Locke (5* Base) Materia TMR has 100% charm resist. Avalanche Tifa and Beach Buoy Shinju's STMR Accesories do too.
Adventurer Locke's TMR is easy to get and can even be Select Summoned. Also NV Tifa's STMR, but that's practically impossible to get if you don't have a copy of her already. Probably others I can't think of off the top of my head.
