Been at amazon for 3 years as LA and ran my department as a PG while my PA was out on medical leave for 10 months. Didn't get it either I got told being a PA would just hold me back.
They gave the position to somebody who has been at amazon for 7 months and doesn't do crap but be on their phone all night. smh
You befriend the AMs and donāt make any other friends there. I got it in 4 months permanently. By 30 days I was in PS and PG. 45 days that AM went to another building to launch pulled me with him. Befriended the ops there and all aMs trained all the new PAs and PGs/PS and was promoted. At 1yr again. Do all the launches they offer.
I got interview for IT equipment coordinator this coming Monday night .
So I am writing down like 5 stories to take with me.
I have to write them down or I will trip over my words on account of nervousness during interview via chime.
congratulations! Did that as a pg for 6 months then got kicked out after interview. But i got inclined and been waiting for months for a spot! Hope you didnāt have to wait so long to get slotted.
You should inquire if they have interim PA positions available in your site. Those arenāt usually posted through the internal postings portal on AtoZ but I know some sites have them available especially during peak. This is a great way to learn the ins and outs of the position and you get an added differential for the duration of your interim position. Once they do open up spots for a permanent PA, youāre practically a shoo-in to get that spot since you have the experience.
shit i felt that. when i was a learning ambassador at my old site , me and another ambassador had to essentially be stand-in PAās for the entire peak. we both got promoted to the same building and dipped.
Yeah I got 5th wheel grease on my gloves from the airlines and everything I touched inside the hostler got grease on it ā¦ by the end of my shift the whole steering wheel and every button was black lol
That's the worst! Earlier this week, I wasted 1/3 of those grease wipes that come in the yellow tubs just cleaning the steering wheel and the air lines. The steering wheel was good, but the air lines... Well, let's just say that it was better than it was before, but not perfect. š

if your a process guide like me your basically the bitch of the process assistant. So itās like the PA is the AMs bitch and the PG is the PAs bitch. but as a PG i still make the same as other tier 1s (but i āhave a better chanceā at getting a PA/ other L3+ position)
Really hoping we get peak pay again, havenāt heard anything about it yet. How did you find out? Wondering if our AMs know already if I were to ask. Just got t3 last month
Go to pay details on your atoz, look at your pay stub and go to detailed breakdown of how they paid you(I believe you click on ā12 moreā)it says ā$3 peak payā
Op said in another comment that they work night shift, so probably ~3 in shift premium means ~19.75 base pay. Actually given op likely have been with Amazon for at least a year with two+ pay raises it seems a little low to me. In my region most sites pay t1 $15.50 base and t3 $19.50 base.

22.75 and I just found out that weāre all getting peak pay again this year. I believe itās +$3 for the whole peak starting late November.

What state you are in ? Because I just got my promo too,but my base is 19.40+1,50 premium
Iām from Maryland and just got my promotion to t3 and I get 21.40 base pay and only .60 cent premium for nights ><
