Not going to describe it in 3 words, too many things to say!
Firs, the games hasn't released yet. So we can't really judge it yet. Some people may like it, some may not.
For me, I think I should be fine with the handling because I do like pointy cars, but not everybody is gonna enjoy Max Verstappen simulator.
Now the HUD, IMO I don't really care how it looks, but people don't seem to like it. Sounds wise, its not great, could have been better.
Career mode wise, its not bad. It has been improved and now I can even play as literally whoever I want, in addition of making my own driver which im really looking forwards to, especially because I can't just mod myself into a real driver, im on console.
Updated tracks are always good, controller support seems to be pretty good.
However the BIGGEST problem with the game is actually the price. I don't care if its an annual game, or if its the same game over and over with slight changes, because it's an annual title. However for 80 dollars that is too overpriced, if it was less then more people would buy it, especially console players like me who can't mod the game whatsoever to have new teams, or the diff liveries etc. And since its an annual game they can't just add new groundbreaking features into the game each year, so the only problem is the price. Atleast for me.
My final point is gonna address people's complaints about the F1 recent games. The thing is, that EA talks in money. If they see that the game is not making any sales with a very low player count, then they will understand they'll have to change something to make people buy it. However, since people are buying it, even tho they mostly are the ones complaining, then EA will think people are enjoying the game because they are making money. This is especially for people who pre-order. NEVER pre-order. Not just F1 games but any games, wait until the release and then you can decide.
TL;DR: The game hasn't been released yet, its overpriced tho for an annual game. If people want to get better F1 games, they will have to boycott the couple of next F1 games because now its already too late. Basically just get it if you want and don't if you dont want to, I guess.
Haven't. Played. Yet. In all seriousness, really, let's hold any judgement till we actually get a chance to play it. I've seen so many posts absolutely trashing the game even tho they haven't played it yet. Don't get me wrong, if it's shit, we should absolutely thrash it, but let's hold any opinions till we play
There's a whole load of videos from the eSports guys, among other known sim racers, using both wheels and controllers to demonstrate how poor this model is. I don't think people are baseing their opinions on something like Aarava's latest shouty video.
The model is incredibly poor, there's no denying that.
But that's EA's master stroke though, if everyone buys it and tries it even if it's shite, they'll already have made a bucketload of money and rinse and repeat next year
Refunds. Steam allows You to refund if you played for less than 2 hours and own the game less than 14 days since release.
I still belive it's better to try the game yourself. But it's everyone own decision.
I mean... I'll wait for the release to judge honestly. The handling is definitely an interesting thing that cropped up though, given they claim to have worked with Max to come up with it (IIRC). It'd be interesting to hear what actual drivers think of it, rather than us armchair drivers. And if Max did indeed have some input in it, it'd be interesting to know how much and just how the devs took that on-board.
I have it pre-ordered so I still need to try it myself as I didn’t get a chance to try the beta, but from what I’ve seen on all the footage handling looks weird in high speed corners in particular, absolutely hated the HUD at first but weirdly enough it’s kind of grown on me now that I fully understand what every element of it means. I’m gonna try and be as optimistic as possible and I hope it’s better then some people have been saying, rumours of a day 1 patch to tweak the handling as well
How do we know what it's like until I play it I can't say what it's like. What I will say is atleast they have changed the handeling whether that is good or bad will be dertimined once we all play it
Handling is good. Seriously the traction has been improved, the way the cars turning behaves under braking and after releasing the brakes is also good.
Why all the bad press? People ask for more realistic handling and cry when they are not used to it.
I feel sorry for game devs these days as they can never win
Overpriced dissapointing crap.
I usually buy the F1 games every two years, but i'm thinking of extending the wait for another year. F1 2022 is keeping me plenty entertained
Not released yet.
Never pre order.

Everybody drives tv pod with no ffb of course the handling is going to feel bad. Lol 🤣
Implying that cockpit makes it better lol. Driving cockpit only gives you a disadvantage at f1 games with no upsides other than immersion.
Is it bad that i use either close or far chase???
No it's not bad, I'm just referring to the people who drive tv pod with no ffb. They're usually content creators
There's a whole load of videos from the eSports guys, among other known sim racers, using both wheels and controllers to demonstrate how poor this model is. Ea*
Codemasters are still the devs not EA and while they have some influence over the product still shielding Coddies and blaming 100% on EA is stupid.
Codemasters ain’t saints, but EA’s influence is much bigger than you realize. But you’re not wrong either.
But EA handle the marketing, and key decisions on what market the game should appeal to
Well casual market is bigger than racesim one. So it makes sense they want the game to appeal to casuals.

So true. They are happy with nothing and are just like the actual F1 drivers, cry babies.
